The Mountain[Training] Empty The Mountain[Training]

Mon May 06, 2013 5:02 pm
Day One
Musa grasped the jagged edge of the stone in-front of him, hauling himself onto the ledge with a groan. he had reached the half-way point at last. Looking out over the valley below him, he was enthralled with the sight that lay before him. A thousand feet up, and the view was fantastic. Kumogakure sat at the edge of his vision, a vast metropolis of tall buildings, hidden from view on all sides by cloud walls. In-between was rolling valleys of Lightning, broken up with small green blotches of cacti. Musa was here with a very specific goal in mind; Improving his skills. While his ninja skills was not strong to deal with higher difficulties, he needed to improve his skill to new level , otherwise his defences would be extremely lacking. Strength has raw stopping power, sure, but it had no real defensive force without stamina. Being that great ninja was formed from the combination of physical energy and mental energy, he knew he had to increase his physical prowess. So, combining the two concepts, he decided to travel to The Mountains of Trials, a clearing at the top of a two thousand foot tall mountain. The Electric shocks in his veins drove him higher, forcing him to continue. After about ten minutes of climbing, he reached a... problem of sorts. the face of the stone above him was perfectly flat, a face of perfect granite and limestone, mocking his attempts to scale it. There was nothing for him to grasp whatsoever. An interesting challenge, to be sure. But it inspired him to form a simple solution to this unusual problem. Focusing power to the palm of his left hand, and transferring it to his kunai, he hit the stone with it ,reaching out and running his kunai over the smooth stone. A Kunai made a whole in the stones and by doing such, he reached up, performing the same method with his right hand, and on and on he went up the face of the mountain, Doing whole one after the other in the rocks with chakra his kunai. The air was Fast and, heavy and the climb was hard. At this height, the stone was all but smooth, forcing him to carve his own path using his ninja skills and intelligence as he went higher, adding more difficulty to the climb. Eventually, he wrapped his fingers around a ledge, hauling himself up, to reach his destination. A flat clearing a few feet beneath the peek of the mountain, two thousand feet in the air. The oxygen was thin, and the temperature was cold. A roaring torrent of wind pounded him, sapping the heat from his bones, mocking his efforts to cling to his warmth. Musa had bought a backpack full of supplies, but to truly survive up here, he would need to use his skills, knowledge, patient , and focusing only on his target to defeat the mountain of claim. The area was known as the mountain of trials. Designed to test the fortitude of shinobi, they would climb the two thousand feet, and live on the peek of this mountain for days, training their mind and their body. Some died, but those that survived came down with stronger techniques and an even stronger will. Removing his backpack, he examined his goods. A sleeping bag, rations and water. The wind was harsh and freezing, sapping the height from his veins. He'd freeze to death without a wind break. Placing his hands on his pocket and he get two kunaies and start hitting them in the floor, he focused his power into his hands, and transfer it into kunai. Using his ninja skill and intelligence, his power flow through his hands to his kunai, he began to make whole in the floor and through those wholes, he use his brute power and some ninja skills to rise up the three metre long, foot wide stone wall out of the ground, slowly creeping it's way up, higher and higher. He did the same again, fusing it side of the end of the other walls, repeating the process until he created a small dog kennel of sorts, rolling his sleeping bag out and crawling into it for shelter, sealing it behind him. It was still cold, but without the wind pounding him he could at least warm up, and he'd last the night without freezing to death and while sleeping he remember his parents words that never give up my son And before sleeping he promised himself that he is not going to loose this battle and going to complete his mission .

Day Two
Musa rolled over in his stone coffin, shaking off his sleep. The stone was cold and hard, but the sleeping bag was warm and sweet. Reaching around in the darkness, he grasped a smooth bag beside him; his daily rations. Cracking the packet open, he quickly shovelled the mess of rice and beans down his gullet, enjoying the taste while it lasted. Rations were dog-food compared to regular food, the likes of which he ate in Kumogakure, but he'd eaten them for so long they tasted fine to him at this point. Focusing on the palm of his hand, he ran it over the wall of the coffin he had built for himself. Obedient, the wall began to part, forming a small exit. The second it formed, the harsh wind flooded in, burning into his skin and dragging him back to reality. Stepping out onto the Mountain, he looked around. A light covering of snow was forming on the platform, coating the crimson red stone with a blanket of white. It was the first real time Musa had been in snow. Unfortunately, he wasn't a fan of it. It was simply cold, wet powder. It was almost worse than the feeling of water on his skin. Still, Ignoring the frosty mush that bombarded him, he began to meditate.Musa meditated for an hour, focusing his mind as much as he could, melding his physical and mental energy into one single conglomeration in his stomach. A tight knot of raw shinobi power. The method was simple enough, but it was hard to focus on under such conditions, (where wind blowing very fast, air is very thin, whole place are covered with snow and temperature is very low also) which was exactly why he was doing it. Even in combat, shinboi had to perform this task, and the easier it was for him to perform it under duress, the more efficient he'd be in a fight. Finally, he opened his eyes, an idea bubbling up from his subconscious.Crawling back into his hut, he cracked open another packet of rations, devouring the chicken mush and washing it down with some water. Running his hand over the whole in the wall and closed it. He was tired, and the wind and snow had left frostbite and wind burns over his exposed flesh, that stung away at him while he tried to warm up in his small tomb. Dragging himself back into his sleeping bag, he curled up, trying to ignore the howl of the winds and the burn of his hands and face as he began to slowly drift off to sleep. He remembered his parents daily before sleeping and become happy by thinking that happy time when they were all together living happily and these memories give him power to do his mission complete and motivate him so that he can achieved what he wants to achieve. After this he leaned into the world of his dreams

Day Three
The snow was heavier on the mountains, caking Musa and his coffin in it's white splendour. The gale was just as penetrating as it was the previous days, sapping the heat from everything it touched, a haunting jester in the face of his perseverance. Though his stone coffin was pleasant, sheltering him from the bane of the weather, he still struggled to survive. Rations didn't sustain him well, and his water was at half. He'd only be able to stay here for another day at most, before having to descend. Still, that didn't change what he had to do for the day, train as hard as he could. His daily routine like setups, pushups, focusing and using his mind power and ninja skills and remain standing on his one leg for hours and climbing the mountain with heavy stone. Through all these methods his skills improving and gaining new level while his physical and mental abilities also improved to next level. But still he is not satisfied because he has to achieved more and still have to survive for one more day.Musa knows that doing practice and training is really different thing than doing real fight and he thinks that his training will be only successful only if he will able to utilize his training lesson in the real battle with his opponent. He needed his punches to be harder and faster if he stood any chance of properly injuring someone. Analysing the situation is the main motive during saving missions. During these mission once movements and intelligence should be enough fast and good to judge and take the instant decisions. Shattering the rocks with his legs, he swung his leg through the walls, breaking them just like a toys or glass pieces and he continues doing this over and over again. He use heavy stones and rocks to speed up his action like kicking, punching , and running abilities, with this heavy loads he do major training with it while carrying all these stones and rocks on his back. Musa focused on his grip and compressing the rocks and stones tighter and tighter, pounding the bits of gravel and soot together and tempering them before forcing them to turn out in powder form. Musa walked over, grabbing one of the huge rock at the base. Pulling, he try to lift the rock, but not able to then eventually he kicked the ground so hard that he able to do both he lifted the rock and whole formed in the surface where he kicked while lifting the rock. After that he examined the rock condition, it was totally shattered into pieces just like glass shattered after broking exactly as he wanted it to be.The sun was beginning to set, and dragging himself back into his coffin, he ran his hand over the wall, causing it to pull itself shut. Dragging himself into the sleeping bag, he breathed out a sigh of relief. Tomorrow he would descend the mountain, and assuming he didn't fall and die, he'd have earned his stronger grasp on his ninja skills.

Day Four(Final Day)
Musa hauled his backpack over his shoulder, placing his hands on top of the stone coffin that had been his home, causing it to breaking it into pieces only by his hand grip. One by one, he went around, clearing away the ruins of the training. He picked the stone, and tossed it over the side, wondering what state it would be in once it hit the bottom. Swinging his feet over the ledge, he stepped down, hanging himself over the ledge. The descend was reasonably simple, given that the wholes he had put in place were still present. It was initially rather hard to stay ahold, the whole were covered in snow, and his muscles were tense due to the cold. Nevertheless, he made his way down, eventually reaching the half-way point once more. Looking out over the ledge, he stared at Kumogakure once more. Home. He was almost there. The last thousand feet of the descent was the easy part, with many areas to grasp, and many small ledges to rest on, not that he needed them. Eventually, as the sun began to set, his feet met the solid ground for the first time in four days. He was finished, the Mountain had failed to claim him.
