Planting New Seeds

Upon her arrival from the market, where she had collected supplies to make dinner for Azuki and Takehiko, she would begin putting away her groceries. She had told them to be here around nightfall, however she didn't tell them of her plan. Recently Junko had been helping the locals more, hearing their stories and assisting them with the crops. She believed that she could use her affinity with water and earth to attempt to duplicate herself. She had watched various farmers tending to their fields and wanted to draw inspiration from that.

She decided that she wanted to attempt to duplicate herself to aid in protecting her and her new friends. She figured the more bodies, the better, and they could help with setting up the hideout as well. She began trying to think of what more she could do for the community she now found herself growing to love and cherish. Creating a small settlement under the protection of her allies may be a good start, but for now, she needed a stronger group of people.

Soon she began prep cooking, getting everything ready to be baked. Deciding now was a good time, she finished up the prep and then made her way outside of her home. Upon exiting she would activate her Ketsuryugan, make her way to her back yard slip off her boots and begin to ground herself. The grass was dry under her feet as she stood in a relaxed pose. She could feel her heartbeat beginning to slow as she connected to the environment around her. After she felt thoroughly relaxed she quickly did the hare, ox, boar, horse, horse, hare, dog, monkey, and bird handseals, making sure to remain alert to her surroundings.

Emerging from her chest, there were two softball-sized seeds. Each was made of a nearly black shell, with red vein-like markings encasing it. Soon in front of her, two bodies would begin to form. Each looked indistinguishable from Junko herself, except for a small birthmark behind their right ear. She would introduce herself to the clones as Junko, and explain to them what their purpose was. She felt a bit of relief as the technique had fully completed, she now wasn't truly on her own and had double the help.

After the discussion ended, Junko would inform them about their dinner plans and quickly put them to work. Each Junko would begin finishing the final touches of the meal as she pondered over what to call them. She ended up deciding to name one of them Jun, and the other Kiko. Then they all began talking about what missions they were going to be doing soon, and how best to help the community. Junko was unsure about how to feel about this, after all, she was just talking to herself, but she seemed to like it nonetheless. The three of them easily finished setting the table, cleaning the home, and preparing dinner, and then they waited for the others to arrive.
