Jaydens Journal [training, Miz]

Jayden arrived at the facility a little earlier than Miz Hozuki. His bright red dreads pulled back in a ponytail to keep them out of his face. Time to learn another element so he could of course use his bloodline. Jeordie had refused to train Jayden due to the fact Jeordie liked being the Alpha male in the house. Learning the blood line garnered a lot of respect. Respect he wanted all for himself. Jaydens Kiri team was an exact replica of Jeordie's team. Jeordies team consisted of Zeb Nara and Taki Hozuki. See the similarities? Yeah it was the older siblings of Miz and Zim! They were the most well known team in Kiri, very large shoes to fill as the old saying goes!
Jayden knew that his team (Team Fuku Kiri) wasn't any less better than Jeordies but in order to rise in the ranks of this sibling rivalry competition it was time to train! Miz had given him a few instructions in case he wanted to practice beforehand and to prepare him for their training. He sat down cross legged on the ground as though he was about to meditate, I guess in a way it is meditation.
Jayden knew water had to do with emotions. It wasn't jagged like earth, spiky like fire or smooth like wind. No, as Miz put it, imagine a waterfall. Think of a moment that makes you emotional. Jayden took in a deep breath and then released it slowly as a very emotional memory came back to him…
It was a nice pleasant cloudy day as nine year old Jayden and eleven year old Jeordie were at a clan get together. They were playing with their cousin Maddie. Maddie's sixteen year old sister, who was very mean to the three of them, was sitting at the table across from Jeordie and Jaydens mom. She pushed Maddie out of the way as she got up
"Move brat!" She said as she walked towards the bathroom. "And you three better not be there when I get back!" She said tightening her headband and flipping her hair. She had just become a Genin and apparently it went to her head. Everyone seemed to be getting up to get more food when Jeordie had an idea!
"JJ, Maddie I got an idea!" He said in a single song voice holding up a bunch of poppers in a package. "When she comes back she sits down and they pop and scare her! She won't ever know it was us cause we will be hiding in the bushes!" Jeordie said, holding the box and opening it. Jayden and Maddie looked at each other, shrugged and then looked back at Jeordie.
"Sure why not." Jayden said as he took some of the poppers. Maddie lifted up the seat cover as Jayden and Jeordie sprinkled the poppers on the
Seat. As everyone started to return Maddie pulled the seat cover back on the seat and the three ran into the bush barely peeking out! Maddie giggled until Jeordie's face went pale and his expression changed! Suddenly the popping sound was heard as they ran to try to stop the person from sitting there, it wasn't Maddie's older sister, it was Akabayashi Terumi!
"He did it!" Maddie and Jeordie said as they ran off leaving poor Jayden alone with his eyes wide like a deer caught in the headlights. He was terrified as he was scolded by his parents! And then the look on Akabayashis face…he forgave him but he would never forget!
Flash Forward: Walking into the Kages office as Akabayashi took off his hat and Jayden instantly recognized him almost choking on his water!
Jaydens hands were open facing upwards on his knees in meditation pose. Suddenly he could feel himself standing in a lake full of waterfalls as a different feeling ran through his whole body!

Miz was in the process of pulling his hair back in a lopsided ponytail, he really needed to get his dreads redone, he pulled his dreads to the side and wrapped one dread around the rest to keep them to the side and out of the way. As he did this he walked into the training facility observing none other than Jayden already there and starting the process! Jayden was a fast learner, no doubt in Miz's mind this would work out pretty quickly for Jayden. Terumi's have to learn water to learn their bloodline. Well, part of it anyways. Miz had it easy, his was simply…water. Plain and simple. He didn't have to learn fifty different elements. Just water. He took a seat crossing his legs as well, across from Jayden. Who was apparently already further into the process than Miz imagined he would be!
"Okay Jayden, stay focused and listen to me. Think of another intense moment, bad memory, good memory just one that brings a lot of emotions out of you. You got this. Don't break your concentration! This is part of learning this element." Of all people to understand water Miz knew it was too well. His safe space was his puddle. Water was his safety. He understood this element better than any of the other members of Fuku. Of course any Hozuki would understand the instability of the water element. Water flows like emotions, all emotions flow like water. That's the basis he learned growing up. Luckily he knew how to control his. Hence the voices…who thankfully were not bothering him at the moment!
He continued to focus on Jayden and watch him closely. Apparently the memories he was choosing were very strong emotionally!
"Remember, stay focused, do not lose focus." Miz said calmly as he watched the chakra flow around Jayden.

Jayden heard Miz speaking but stayed focused! He was walking through the waterfalls that surrounded him. He has no fear of drowning or being pulled under. Jayden felt quite relaxed as the water roared around him! Another emotional moment? Another recent one…
they were sailing in the boats after having left Volcano Village. Suddenly boats with other people drifted between their boats! Jayden remembered defending himself but the attackers were stronger. The feeling of being stabbed and attacked, it felt like it was happening again! His leg breaking, his foot being smashed! But he remembered Kurai Tau jumping over and fighting them off! He stabbed them with his Threads then tried to tend to Jayden with the others, knowing the closest place to go was Kirigakure.
Jayden suddenly felt like he was being pulled under the waterfall to his right! He managed to catch himself! He stood up and walked under the waterfall and stretched his arms out to his sides! He let it run over him as he felt as though he was one with the water! It was as though it was flowing through his veins. This water element wasn't so bad! Jayden suddenly felt as though something was in his hand. It felt as though he was holding water in his left hand!
"Is that water? In my left hand…is that Water?" Jayden asked with his eyes still closed trying not to break his meditation.

Miz watched closely as Jayden again brought up an emotional memory, and sure enough, it worked! Water started to form in his hands and dripped to the ground! Small water droplets started to drip from his dreads to the ground. Amazing, he never had seen someone besides a Hozuki catch on this quick! Jayden was always a fast learner but this was exceptional.
"You're getting it Jay!" Miz said encouraging Jayden. But even Miz knew this was just the beginning, he would have to teach Jayden a few jutsus at least so he could put this chakra to use. For Miz this was a piece of cake, training someone to use the element of water was like teaching someone to brush their teeth. Easy. For Miz it was natural, it was as natural to him as breathing was.
"Are you ready to try out your new element?" Miz said as he stood up and looked down at Jay. "That was the quickest I have ever seen someone catch on to the water element besides another Hozuki." He added to compliment the Terumi. "Pretty sure you will learn these jutsus pretty quickly as well." As fast as Jayden was catching on, Miz had no doubt in his mind he would.

Holy Shit! He learned the element of water! There was some water dripping into the facility Jayden held his hand out and as though he were practicing magic the water flowed into his palm forming a circular sphere before dispersing and falling to the ground! He stood up as he looked over at Miz.
"Of course! Yeah I guess I do catch on pretty quick. Thanks for the compliment, to be honest I was very determined to learn it. The first person who came to mind after Jeordie turned me down was you! If anyone knows this element it's a Hozuki. What jutsus you got in mind?" Jayden asked, feeling extremely energized and ready to go. He liked this feeling!
"Doubtful I'd be as lucky as you and be able to immerse myself in a puddle, but I have seen people make needles out of water before. Can you teach me that one?" Jayden had always been intrigued by that one. And water prison was another one he had witnessed. That one was one he tried to avoid getting caught in, he had a fear of being immobilized. He looked at Miz anxiously awaiting his answer, hopefully he would be able to walk out of here with a whole new arsenal of jutsus.
