The Sound Tournament: Hanzo V.S. Raikur [No Kill]

As the second match came to an end, the Otokage called out Hanzo and Raikur to the stage for the third match. Raikur was an interesting character, especially with his backstory that he had heard from their Team Sonata's meeting. Hanzo was excited at facing Raikur, since they were from their own team and not only that, it would also be a bonding session via battle that most shinobi feel when two ninja clash. Hanzo walked up to the stage with his Sharingan activated and made the Seal of Confrontation "Good luck to you, Raikur, let's do our best!" the young Uchiha exclaimed with a smile.

Hanzo was 25 meters opposite of Raikur. The young Uchiha instantly activated his Sharingan: Perfected technique to enhance himself and to maximize his vision on the battlefield. Once enhanced, he would take out 2 Senbons from his Ninja Pouch that was strapped to his right thigh and Infuse it with his Chakra in order to increase the health and impact force. He would then proceed to throw one at Raikur's left at 1 meter away and the other at right at 1 meter away in order to make Raikur stuck in the middle if successful, unless Raikur moves either side, and gets hit he will receive damage.


Once thrown, he would perform the hand signs Tiger - Boar - Dog - Rat to Amplify his upcoming Ninjutsu and if successful he would perform the hand signs Monkey → Bird → Hare → Ox → Tiger → Bird → Dragon → Rat to activate the Chidori Sharp Spear technique on his left hand that will blaze with lightning chakra and rush towards Raikur in a straight line and slash from right to left once Hanzo is 10 meters from Raikur. And if hit, he will receive damage.


Thanks to Hanzo's visual prowess, in case Raikur was to move in either direction, the young Uchiha would move his Chidori Spear in the direction of his movement. If Raikur has a jutsu aimed at Hanzo, the young Uchiha would use the One Handed Seal to perform the Tiger > Boar > Ram in his right hand and activate the Debuff Bolt in his right hand and aim the bolt of chakra towards the opposing jutsu.

The second match was over, so it was time for round three. Raikur was sitting next to Julia in the stands when his sensei called out his name, he raised an eyebrow when he heard who he would be facing. "Hmm. A fight against my team mate already huh? Well well... this could be a fun time." He smirked slightly with anticipation at the thought of his upcoming encounter. Raikur had been looking forward to fighting someone with a similar skill set, and it got no more similar than Hanzo Uchiha. The two of them were practically identical with their fighting styles, specialising in Ninjutsu and Bukijutsu.

Standing up as their names were called, Raikur made his way onto the arena stage, breathing in and out gently as the crowd began to cheer for the two competitors. He would walk up to where Kaito was standing, giving his sensei a nod as he approached. He would look at Hanzo, "Best of luck, partner." This would indeed be the perfect time for the two Genin to discover which of them was stronger. But more importantly, it was the perfect time for the two of them to begin understanding one another as Shinobi, as warriors. But the analysis could wait until after the fight.

As he walked to his allocated starting point, tens of strategies began racing through his mind. Raikur thought back to ther first training session together, remembering Hanzo's style and how he approach battle. It was not much to go off, but it was all the young Shokku had at his disposal. He suspected that today would be his chance to learn on the job.

Raikur turned and faced towards Hanzo, specifically making sure that he did not look his opponent in the eyes. Hanzo may indeed specialise in Ninjutsu and Bukijutsu, but he was still an Uchiha. It was essentially Shinobi 101 to know just how foolish it was to make eye contact with an Uchiha in battle, Raikur would be toast if he ended up being caught in Hanzo's Genjutsu. The moment Kaito would begin the match, Raikur activated his Awakened Muragan and watched as Hanzo threw his senbons at either side of Raikur. The young Shokku estimated that they were directed to roughly one meter of either side of him, so he simply watched his opponent's next moves.

Raikur smirked when Hanzo performed the hand seals for his Chidori Sharp Spear, he had seen this before and remembered how his team mate had used it against Kaito in their first meeting as a team. Hanzo had attempted to perform a slashing motion with it back then, striking across from one side to the other. He had almost hit Raikur by accident back then, the young Shokku would not allow him the opportunity to try that again. Hanzo began his advance towards Raikur with his amplified Chidori Sharp Spear. Once Hanzo had moved forward 10m, Raikur put up a single hand sign, Ram.

Using his Body Flicker technique, Raikur dashed 39m directly left with a speed of 225, well before the senbon would be able to reach him. At this speed, Raikur would move 3m for every 2m made by Hanzo's advance. If Hanzo continued to move forward in a straight line, he would make 26m of movement (a total of 36m from his starting location at the beginning of the fight) by the time Raikur reached his total 39m of movement with Body Flicker (Refer to visual guide below).

Now at his destination safely away from Hanzo, he would perform more hand seals, Tiger - Horse - Ram - Clone seal! With a puff of smoke, Raikur would create two identical Shadow Clones, each with their own Awakened Muragan activated. Clone 1 would appear 2m directly south of Raikur, with Clone 2 appearing 2m south east of Raikur. Clone 1 would move a further 5m south east, which would place him 7m away from the original Raikur. As he began to run, Clone 1 would start charging the Lightning Rod technique, moulding the Chakra in his body to prepare for the Jutsu's activation.

Clone 2 moved 10m west south west, placing him 12m away from Raikur. Clone 2 would pull out a tanto, which he then infused with his Chakra, holding it before him at the ready in front of him (+10 impact force and a total of 110 HP). In unison, all three variations of Raikur would call out to Hanzo. "Come now Hanzo, we both know that you are quicker than that. Come at me!" Although it may have appeared as a taunt, Raikur simply wanted to witness what Hanzo was truly capable of.

Once Hanzo was enhanced with Sharingan: Perfected and rushed towards Raikur at 10 meters, Raikur would then immediately body flicker to Hanzo's right at 39 meters away dodging both of Hanzo's senbons. Hanzo would then continue going diagonally from 15 meters, while running he would take out his Tanto from his middle back shoulder with his right hand and Infuse the Tanto with Chakra going towards Raikur's current position and stopping opposite of the real Raikur at 20 meters while his Chidori Sharp Spear is still active in his left hand.


As the Trio taunted the young Uchiha looking at him, Hanzo would raise the Tanto and proceed to place the Tanto's blade a few inches away from his face, which would make the trio look at his eyes, since they are very close. In the case, any of them would look at his eyes even accidentally, Hanzo would cast Sharingan Genjutsu up to two people. If they do close their eyes in order not to look at Hanzo eyes, Hanzo would then proceed to slash all all of them from left to right with his Chidori Sharp Spear and keep his Chakra Infused Tanto at his side in case anything changes.

The moment Hanzo changed his trajectory, Raikur would cast Refined Concentration Breathing, enhancing his Vigor and Speed by +60 each at the cost of 5 HP. He would then proceed to run directly at Hanzo with a speed of 160, matching his opponent as her performed the hand seals Tiger - Rat - Tiger - Boar - Rat followed by Monkey - Dragon - Rat - Bird - Ox. In doing so he cast Ninjutsu Amplifier followed by Chidori. Raikur would split the 20 point amplifier evenly into both Power and Speed, giving the Chidori 130 Power and Speed respectively.

The incredible sound of one thousand birds chirping filled the arena as Raikur's Chidori burst up around his right hand as he continued his advance. At the current trajectory, Raikur and Hanzo will meet 20m away from Raikur's starting position as they moved at matching speeds. Raikur will have advanced with his Chidori slightly trailing behind his body, but when he gets 2m away from Hanzo, Raikur would attempt to strike forwards with it, hitting Hanzo directly in the chest. If Hanzo is unable to avoid the technique, he will take 130 damage and be paralysed for two posts.

At the same time as the original, Clone 1 will also begin its advance, running in a direct line that will leave it 2m to the left of Hanzo's arrival point, before quickly turning left and dashing directly at him as Hanzo comes to a stop. Should Clone 1 reach him and make contact, it will unleash all of the its static electricity from the Lightning Rod technique that it had stored previously with a power of 20. This would be performed by grabbing Hanzo by his left arm, above the elbow to avoid coming into contact with the Chidori Sharp Spear, causing Hanzo to be debuffed, lose 20 Speed.

Concurrently, Clone 2 will spring into action at the same time as Raikur and Clone 1. Almost identical to Clone 1, Clone 2 would move with maximum Speed to 2m to the right and slightly behind Hanzo, before turning and closing the remaining distance. With its Chakra Infused tanto, Clone 2 will attempt to slash upwards along his opponent's back, ensuring not to strike too far forward and risking hitting Raikur or Clone 1, this would deal 60 Sharp damage to Hanzo.

Should Hanzo stop earlier than his original destination, Raikur and his clones would continue moving forward to meet him regardless, using the same positioning and attacks just described.

Once Hanzo raised the Tanto, Raikur would enhance himself with his breathing technique. He would then cast multiple hand signs to amplify and manifest the Chidori. Upon seeing the lightning chakra on Raikur's hand, Hanzo would deactivate his Chidori Sharp Spear technique, sheath his Tanto and perform the Ram hand sign and instantly Body Flicker 50 meters to the back which had a clear path.


In the case Raikur manages to reach Hanzo within 20 meters with his Chidori, Hanzo would perform the Tiger > Horse > Boar > Ram and activate the Needle Jizo to surround himself with his hair as a defensive measure. If Needle Jizo were to be destroyed, the hair would explode outward in a radius of 15 meters and would debuff the real Raikur's Vigor and Speed Stats by -30 each for 2 Post.


Once exploded, Hanzo would perform the Tiger - Boar - Rat, draw his Tanto again with his right hand and use the Flying Swallow technique to amplify his Tanto. With the amplified Tanto, Hanzo would perform the Temple Style: Bark by swinging the weapon towards the real Raikur, sending a wall of invisible force from its tip.

When Hanzo decided to Body Flicker backwards, Raikur smirked as he and his Clones continued on their trajectories as previously intended. Although giving himself a temporary cover with his Needle Jizo, Hanzo had made an unfortunate error. He had stopped moving, giving Raikur and his Clones a still target. As Hanzo performed no other actions to defend against the techniques of Raikur and his Clones, the young Shokku would finally reach his opponent, striking forward with his Chidori, connecting first with the Needle Jizo, and then with Hanzo himself a mere instant later.

With a Power of 130, his Chidori would pierce right through the unusual hair technique, which had a Power of 80. Upon being hit by the Chidori himself, Hanzo would take 100 damage (scaled down from 130 after the Needle Jizo debuff) and be stunned from the neck down for two posts. "Gotcha!" He would say as he made contact with his team mate.

At the same time, both Clones would also be performing their own actions. Due to Hanzo having stopped moving, they would both be able to coordinate with each other and Raikur. As the Needle Jizo exploded, Clone 1 would hit Hanzo with the Lightning Rod technique as planned, debuffing his speed by 20. Clone 2 would also perform his action mentioned previously, slashing up along Hanzo's back with his Chakra infused tanto, dealing an additional 60 Sharp damage to the Uchiha.

With a combined damage of 160, the variations of Raikur would stand over Hanzo in victory. Each of them looking down at him, nothing but respect on their faces for their team mate's valiant display. Releasing his two Clones in a puff of smoke, Raikur would gently pick up his fallen comrade and carry him over to the nearby medics, allowing them to tend to his wounds. If Hanzo awakens while he is nearby, he would feel Raikur pat his shoulder and speak quietly to him. "That was a great showing Hanzo, I am glad to have an ally like you watching my back in Team Sonata!"

Raikur would then present himself in front of Kaito, bowing his head respectfully as he awaited his final verdict.

Once Hanzo had covered himself with Needle Jizo, Raikur's Chidori managed to break through the young Uchiha's technique and hit him, making him paralyzed. Since Hanzo was paralyzed from the neck down, both of Raikurs clones made their move.

Hanzo was knocked out by Raikur's multiple attacks and was down for the count. Raikur then would proceed to pick up Hanzo who was on the ground and carry him to the medics to tend to his wounds. As the Uchiha was slightly awake, he could hear the words of his comrade that just won the battle. Even though the Uchiha was tired to speak, he smiled with acknowledgement that he had a good comrade that he could always rely on, as he was tended by the medics.

Once the Otokage officially declared Raikur the victor, Hanzo was proud of his teammate but at the same time, he felt a bit down. He needed to train more and get stronger if he ever wanted to defeat his father. This was Hanzo's first battle officially and this experience taught him a lot. As he was watching Raikur celebrating his victory on the stage, Hanzo wanted to train with the Otokage and Tatsuya, since he could get stronger and at the same time it would be a bonding session for the family.
