Blackened Senbon

Name: Blackened Senbon
Appearance: Long needles, 15 centimeters in length, one centimeter in diameter at their widest, and both ends are pointed. The metal has been coated with a blackening agent that has given them a matte black finish.

Backstory: Masashi wanted a way to mask some of the more traditional shinobi tools for night missions where stealth would be a little more crucial. While working in his lab, he had created a substance that when applied to a metallic surface, it would dull the metal to a matte black finish, while leaving the weapon's killing ability unchanged. He applied it to some senbon first, but may attempt to use the substance on other tools later.

Trait:
Weapon Black: The weapons have been coated with a matte black finish, making them all but impossible to see them in the dark (whether it be at night or in an area with little/no light). As the coating itself is not chakra based, any doujutsu with chakra vision would not pick up anything out of the ordinary. While they may not be noticed, external factors may reveal them (ex. heat transfer from a bare handed throw). Any sensory abilities that track movement would be aware of the senbon moving through the sensed area despite whether or not they can actually see it.

In daylight and low light situations, the Blackened Senbon are quite easy to pick out (unless the area around them is also black).
