The mad man dashed till he arrived at an considerable clearing. The flowimg waterfall of now an now mossy area, which held a crumbled and worn faces carved of two unimportant people. He cared not for its importance. right now was the spoils of his kill. His clone had dispersed a long time ago having given him the items.

And now with an inquisitive eye on the items yoshimitsu noted the damage to each item was nigh minimum, a little sharpening here on the statues would fix the deal.And with each shrunken he went to work. minding that a little watee from the river down stream would fit the build for cleaning, and otherwise making a crisp clean take to the weapons at hand.

A bit of a moment later yoshimitsu was using surface walking technique to wash the shrunken with a piece of torn clothing from his shirt. The scoot and ash of charred earth washed off like an eventual smoke. with skillful, and careful hands the man worked. He cleaned the inner ring, and bladed edges with the eyes of a trained smith. and then with the tanto he took a shruiken with ginger care and tended to the edges of the weapon.

it had been awhile since yoshimitsu took to a bladed weapon that could last a bit, but materials would be seeked in due time to refasion an appropriate blade he appreciated. This simple thing would do for the moment as the sheath too needed small repairs which he would tend to later. The man worked with speed, and skill, and after a short while the tanto was in acceptable application.

i doubt they host anything worthy of a blade there. Such an insult to weild a dagger. Do they not fight? the shame 20 lives taken for induldging on weakness. The rot may as well submerge subpar men of battle. fodder for the true warriors. Another location

yoshi thought insulted at the dead man that lead him to a fight thag not even dogs would want scraps from. He knew not, nor cared for the events of the world. only challengers that he deemed worth the energy. But seeing this only made him wonder why he did not build a labyrinth instead and lock it in a mountain. But perhaps there was hope.

There were weapons he had gained, but nothing special. If only there was something more. A sudden breeze came from the north which calmed the mans thoughts as he felt the breeze. like in his childhood all he knew was battle. And tyranny. but the wind he knew well.

maybe we can just see what can be useful later. But now lets see what we can create for our next enemy.

the man thought as he formed the clone seal and out popped a clone of fhe man admiring the now cleaned weapons it possessed.

"not too shabby, but yes let us figure a new strategy. What about underground assaults."

the clone offered which yoshimitsu waved off with a grimance. The earth while powerful, was but another construct at the whim of chakra for yoshimitsu. Underground was a typical choice for assaults, and while clone and original knew this as well as other methods. The use of it required subtle approaches.

"not nessccary, but to stay ahead is the goal. Thinking ahead, They draw blade, then why they choose a cut? to what means do they respond if we block. To what means do they ready for a counter attack? No one expects an sudden shift of eviornment, but everyone fears the dirt beneath their feet."

yoshimitsu replied as he glanced at the water and smiled. The clone looked perplexed as he thought on that bit the original spoke fondly of. But yoshi was content. If running up walls,and trees was posdible, then why limit oneself to that?

"however if we move with less restrictions. Then wouldnt that mean our responses are much more free forming? Water flows and forms, but we can walk on such a form fitting mass. But to the next one. itll be the sky. To walk on wouldnt you agree?"

the clone glanced at its feet at thoes words and too was in thought for a second.

"yes but thy enemies only seemed so far weak. perhaps if bored such methods will prove taxing. unless they fly like a bird. Still nothing that could be fun later for use. perhaps even efficent in combat"

the clone mused as it lifted its foot and stepped back on the water nodding its head slightly left and right.

"the right pressure, the shift of weight and motion for true free movement is what is important, but chakra does that for our feet here. And so in the sky this too will play the same role. Its second nature. And so to mold our will to our desire. we must add wind."

the clone added as he worked, and yoshi looked at the tanto on his right hip in thought. As he drew it. A small borrowing of conceptional creation was needed for the clone to work it. So the man drew his tanto with his right hand and weaved the seal of confrontation with his left hand. A flow of wind chakra covered the blade as he observed the infused state of the weapon before flicking the weapon to his right up stream creating the gust of wind blowing away from both himself and the clone.

"like that our feet must be capeable for prolonged contact, instead of temporary bursts of explosiveness. Not merely for striking, but moving, itll be important to fixate a way to mold the chakra. Itll probbably be a little more effort for this then sone simple surface walking method. But in exchange you should be able to formulate the means for this. Safely over the river. but in exchange it might take but a few tries."

yoshi spoke as the clone noting the wind slash thought to how it worked and surface walking worked and listened to the original once more fluxing the wind chakra to its will in minor fluxes under his feet so to transition on the first step. Seeing as seals were merely a molding ground for the jutsu it thought of a few seals to accompany such a jutsu with a simple ox, rat, dog. The clone took a step and proceedes to walk on the air like stairs.

"hm not to shabby in theory. test one"

the clone stated as it not jumped up 20 meters into the air and at peak at will came to a stop at 20 meters in the air and walked a circle. No sound from taking steps or landing. He then at will took a step forward and now the position of his feet shifted as he took a step and now was walking down what would look to be stairs. Only to jump once more 5 meters forward, and angel his body so he would land mid air. His body paralell to the water. so he would walk directly up the air in a straight line.

"simple and effecient id say. the free form requires much thought however, but easy enough."

the clone would state as after about 5 steps his next step had him walking upside down mid air an hand on his chin in thought as his right hand secured the tanto and the mishibachi box a bit. The clone swiped with the tanto, and after another stepe was wslking right side up.

"test two, and lets have some fun."

the clone said and yoshi gave a thumbs up to the clone. The clone now ran at full speed now in a spiral of sorts at a slight incline. This would resemble to the shape of a rising spiral staircase and he would do this for 20 meters as then he stopped 40 meters mid air. The clone then jumped up a further 40 meters to take his left foot and kick off the air to flip off and land upside down.

hm dreamy. on a dime we can stop and move. so much freedom from the earth, the advantages of a bird, but the freedom of a man. now how far shall we drop?

the clone thought as it hopped 5 meters down the air flipping his body to land mid air 115 meters above his original spot. A fun thought as the ideas formed. He then hopped down free falling for 30 meters before landing mid air. confirming he could land at his whim mid air.


got it. A pretty simple and useful way to avoid being simply launched away if of course it happens. But yes freedom at its finest, but with its limitations it costs significantly more then the surface walking we use. But cheap still the fireballs. are much more costly, and in exchange liniar. for a fight we need control, freedom, dominance, and finally the means to counter when nessccary. Something that liniar techniques cannot really control with moving targets.

the clone thought as with a final hop the clone poofed from existance transfering its thoights and memories to the original yoshimitsu. yoshi himself studied the clones movements mid air with an drop of curiousity, and as the clone returmed to his energy, he noted the thoughts it had.

makes sense, there is an grand deal of motion in play, but likewise it is what happens when faced with equivilent movement? nothing comes without its set of counters, and appropriate responses. A stab, should you shift left or right? a horixontal cut can one meet it, or will it have to be evaded with a back step or thrice? the verticals csn you step and cut? or will you be left to step, parry, step, cut shift cut? the no diffrence then the one use ofca jutsu. does it have the flexibility or not? But i guess this solves soke flexibility ridgedness.

yoshi thought as he glanced back at tge tanto thinking back to its former owner and shaking his head.

"still we cannot fix the weakness others posess, or are born with. They coildve defended themselves better, but like many lack the heart to explore beyond misconceptions. Eh itll be time to go anyway. This was nice to examine an array of tools, and work a new trick in the mix."

yoshi said to himself as with putting away the tanto back on his right hip. yoshi made off with his next adventure. wondering where his next challenge will come from.
