Sugar Rush!~ Empty Sugar Rush!~

Cookie Time!:

Kato looked out of his apartment window as the beautiful winter landscape that was his village. His apartment was on the top floor of a complex that sat atop a hill so it granted him a lovely view of Kirigakure. Snow blanketed the streets, most of the buildings as well and there were icicles forming on windows and lampposts. Kato was sipping a hot cup of tea while he watched the goings on in the village but his sense of serenity was broken when he noticed a letter floating down among the falling snowflakes. The wind blew and the letter flew through his window and onto the table where he ate his meals. Taken over by curiosity Kato walked over to the table and looked at the letter, strangely it had unfolded and the message was clearly visible:

"Greetings shinobi of the mist! The season is upon us and I have an important task for you! Your village has faced some tough times recently but have came through that adversity well! Also it appears the village is improving its reputation somewhat, maybe the Blood Mist is a thing of the past? Regardless, your task is to distribute warm cookies and delectable delights to everyone in the village! But don't worry, you won't be alone, the season is all about community after all!~ The Hollykage"

At first Kato just read the note only using his eyes but the content seemed odd and the tone was strangely familiar even tho he'd never met anyone called 'The Hollykage' before. He decided to pick the note up to inspect it further but as soon as his hand made contact with the paper he found himself standing in the centre of the village. Puzzled by the sudden change Kato looked around. He was wearing a red suit that had a white fur collar and cuffs and he was holding a large bag over his shoulder. Kato heaved the bag off his shoulder and looked inside, there was a cornucopia of sweet treats inside "looks like the Hollykage wasn't joking around". Kato looked around seeing if he could notice anyone else in a similar situation to him, the Hollykage said he wouldn't be alone after all. In the process of turning his head Kato realised he was also wearing a red hat that drooped long and had a furry ball on the end "where did these clothes even come from?" Kato stood confused for a second, waiting for the person who was going to be joining him.

Tired wasn't the word to describe how Kiyomi felt as she pulled herself out of bed and into the day. Her workout yesterday was hard and she was sure she did exactly what the doctor told her not to do, which was pushing herself too much. Now she was sore and a bit more irritated than she thought she would be. It didn't help that she was waking up alone due to her husband being out on his kage duties. The only thing that had made this morning worth waking up to was the beautiful snow that covered her village. Winter was her favorite time of the year and she wasn't just saying that because she was a Yuki. The holidays that came with the winter season was one that brought many together and often took the burden of being a shinobi off of their shoulders. Never knowing which day would be your last was a mental battle all on its own so it was nice to relax a bit and enjoy the wonder and joy. Quickly cleaning herself up and putting on a simple white and red kimono, Kiyomi went to the kitchen and made her some breakfast. She almost didn't notice the ed piece of paper on the kitchen counter but when she did she quickly picked and began to read the gold letters on it.

It's been a rough time for you Kiyomi, but don't worry we can spread a little joy and get a little joy. If you turn around you will find a sack of delicious goodies to pass through town. Don't worry you won't be alone, you'll find a friend out there spreading the joy too.

Kiyomi was afraid to turn around. If there was really a bag of snacks in here that meant someone had gotten into her home and that didn't sit well with her. The letter was signed by the Hollykage. She had never heard of the Hollykage before. Was he trying to poison the children or people of Kiri? What did this note mean, now did he know she was going through a rough time? Many questions spun in her head as she turned to see the red sack sitting in front of her. She opened it up and inside were warm cookies of every type. Picking out one she ate it just to place herself at ease. They tasted great and she didn't feel sick right away. Kiyomi decided to wait a little longer because perhaps if there was poison it needed a little time to work its magic. While waiting she read over the letter again and she was instantly drawn to one line. " You'' find a friend out there spreading the joy too " It seemed like another person or maybe a few people got what she got. Grabbing the bag she quickly made her way out the door, noting that she felt well but she still wasn't sure about these mysterious cookies. Although she was skeptical something assured her that these were in fact safe and she knew many boys and girls who had nothing that would appreciate these cookies. As she looked for the other person handing out cookies she handed out the ones in her sack. the children were pretty happy when they received them and everyone got the cookies they wanted.

Sugar Rush!~ Empty Re: Sugar Rush!~

Kato stood confused, looking around for a few minutes but he was soon swept up into the festive spirit. It was almost forced upon him as a small group of kids noticed the large bag he had slung over his shoulder and rushed over to investigate. Upon that trigger Kato started feeling more cheerful and less confused, there was something about seeing the sense of joy in the kids faces that kindled the festive flame. After a short period of cookie distribution & merrymaking Kato noticed another carrying a similar bag to his own. Kato had not met the woman before but her face was familiar, she was the Mizukage's wife if his memory served. Kato approached the violet haired woman with a smile "Hello! My name is Kato, what's yours? The Hollykage said I'd find someone else out here spreading the joy. It makes sense to spread it together, shall we?" Kato would chat along with Kiyomi as they shared out the rest of their cookies, fully immersed in the holiday season.

Eventually when Kato had given out all of the cookies contained in his bag, he found another mysterious note. Reaching into the sack he pulled it free before reading:

"Well done Mist shinobi! The joy you have spread has been felt across the village and your task is complete. I knew I could count on you ~The Hollykage"

They noticed each other at the same time and soon the man was walking over to her, introducing himself, and saying what she already knew to be true. This Hollykage had brought the two together in order to bring a little joy to Kiri in the form of baked goods. Children swarmed the two like ants and Kiyomi had to set some sort of order up by directing them into a line so that everyone could safely get some cookies. " My name is Kiyomi. It's nice to meet you. This hollykage sure is strange. " She didn't mean to speak her last sentence aloud but it was true or at least it was to her. What person would willingly give away anything nowadays without wanting something back? It was a rare thing to find this sort of kindness in the village but Kiyomi was happy she found it and she was even happier that she could share it. As the two, handed out cookies they would enjoy light conversation with each other. Kiyomi found Kato's presence nice and was happy that she had someone to talk with. Eventually, her bag too ran out of cookies but by then every boy and girl had gotten some. In the bottom of Kato's bag, a note was found and soon the two were parting ways.
