An Exchange of Fists to Clear One's Mind [P] - Page 2 Empty Re: An Exchange of Fists to Clear One's Mind [P]

Sat Feb 18, 2017 2:00 am
"...Hmph" is Shiro's auditory reaction to Shiroi's simple maneuver. With no effort, she moves out of the way and laves Shiro no time to rest before she is rushing towards him once again.

"Well, if you were just going to dodge, then it was a waste of energy... could've at least made it look difficult." He mumbles to himself in his head.

Shiroi's next movements occur too quickly for Shiro to make much sense of them until she is upon him. The effect of her mirror-like camouflage causes Shiro to fail to make out the shape of her body or the speed at which it is moving. Due to difficulty processing this annoying visual information, Shiro's reaction time to Shiroi's close attacks is decreased. It is not until Shiro is being dragged backward by his opponent's arm that he understands what has happened. Though, before thinking of a retort, he first hacks as an effect of being rung across the abdomen.

A few ideas stream through his head in a short amount of time. He may run his feet into the ground in an attempt to exert a counter force against Shiroi's lariat. After running this through, it is shown that his upper body may sustain further damage by having to absorb both the backward momentum as well as the forward force exerted by his legs due to stopping in the ground. And would he have to lock his knees into place? Though possible through the use of Honenashi, the aforementioned effects make this reaction nonviable.

He settles upon a technique that will solve two of the problems that he is facing at the moment. One of the two being that he is moving backward against his will with a speed of 150. The second problem is that he can now feel the effects of using multiple jutsu in quick succession. As his endurance wavers, so too do his options for attacks, defenses, and counter offensives.

"...I don't know... is this her arm? Sure it is." Shiro thinks, bringing his arms to his core and wrapping his palms and fingers around the enemy limb that is in contact with him. "The way she is keeping me on my toes will mean that I can't afford to lack in performance due to a tired body. She can be faster than I can react to, the last technique demonstrates that. If I fall behind any further, I will certainly fail to keep up."

All of these actions occur in succession at a speed of 110, do not let Shiro's mental speaking deceive. He causes a green glow to emanate from the area of contact between Shiro's hands and Shiroi's forearm. The transfer of AP begins immediately, Shiroi's AP pool being decreased by 40 and Shiro's own AP pool being increased by 40.

At the same time, Shiro moves his body so that his torso leans forward while his lower body faces behind him. His feet dig into the ground with 130 strength being exerted by his legs while the rest of his body pushes forward with the same force. Shiro's grip has a strength of 130 and the two of them have been moving in this direction for ten meters.

Both Shiro and Shiroi stop with the force Shiro exerts and immediately upon having stopped, Shiro redirects his 130 strength towards lifting and throwing Shiroi to his left horizontally at a speed of 180 (throwing speed).

Shiro stands straight facing Shiroi.

An Exchange of Fists to Clear One's Mind [P] - Page 2 Empty Re: An Exchange of Fists to Clear One's Mind [P]

Mon Feb 20, 2017 6:20 am

Just roll with the hits, no pauses, don't give them an opening. As soon as the Lariat connected, Shiroi was acting. Right foot firmly planted on the ground, her left foot swung up behind her back. It was aimed for the chin of Shiro, going full speed, full strength, directly at the lower jawline.

This would look quite weird to someone able to pay attention to it all. Because of the current arrangement of her body, Shiroi was bending is many, many unnatural ways to achieve this. Firstly, her hips were pretty much perpendicular to her spine. Her back actually curled in on itself a little. All this allowed her leg to reach the boy's chin with room to spare, enough that even if he moved his head to a side and/or backwards, the heel could still reach. This was no normal kick, however, for if it connected, it would send the boy flying, and something most embarrassing would follow: his clothes would go flying off his body!

Of course, one other action was taken while Shiroi moved her foot to kick the boy: her hands came together into a hand seal. While no jutsu was cast, the affects were readily apparent to someone sensitive to chakra. Her chakra had fallen considerably. What could that possibly mean?

An Exchange of Fists to Clear One's Mind [P] - Page 2 Empty Re: An Exchange of Fists to Clear One's Mind [P]

Tue Feb 21, 2017 10:01 pm
Before Shiro can assemble the input from his senses, his body is already failing to keep up with Shiroi's strikes. "I have a general idea of where she is." He thinks. "All of a sudden, she moves faster than I can recognize."

And then the kick lands under his chin. His body is sent into the air, propelled backward at a considerable speed. It is during this time of flight that Shiro goes over the past occurrences. He puts all of this information together into a coherent order of events starting with the lariat. Following it, the kick to his chin which had put him through the flight he is now experiencing.

While in the air, Shiro weaves two hand seals at a speed of 150, these seals being the boar seal and the rat seal. Immediately afterward and at the same speed, Shiro proceeds to place one of his hands on his abdomen and a second upon his jaw. Following the short amount of time that he uses to treat the minor damage done to his body and alleviate the pain, Shiro forms the horse and tiger seals at a speed of 150. His right hand moves just under his mouth as his head rises to look down his body (which is parallel to the ground; so, if her were standing up straight, he would be looking towards the ground, you understand) and he spews flames so as to propel himself (at a speed of 40) further from Shiroi before coming into contact with the ground. Shiro's clothing is left at the location of the kick so the flames do not come into contact with them.

"At this point," Shiro thinks, "I would benefit greater from being farther away from her than closer. While it is true that I my strength lies in close-range combat, she has an obvious advantage over me in that situation. I will make an attempt at mid-range."

The distance between Shiro and Shiroi when Shiro comes into contact with the ground is thirty meters. Shiro rises and ignores the fact that he stands in his undergarments (these being dark blue boxers and a thin-strapped undershirt) though the draft does remind him once in a while.

For ten meters, Shiro runs at a speed of 30 towards Shiroi in a straight line. During this action, his hands clap together. He leans forward enough for his left hand to drag across the ground, this happening at the twenty meter mark between himself and Shiroi. Just in front of him, a five meter by five meter pillar rises ten meters above the ground. At is rises, Shiro grabs onto its edge with both hands and continues with it. The pillar reaches its ten meter limit and Shiro lifts himself up with 130 strength. This propels him just a meter above the surface of the earth platform.

It is at this point, with a height of one meter above the earth platform below him, that his left arm extends forward with an open palm. His right reels back and proceeds to executer a punch just behind his left hand. The shape of a roaring tiger's head materializes out of air pressure with a power of 70 and moves at a speed of 75 towards Shiroi's location. All of these actions occur at a speed of 150 aside from the movement of the Daytime Tiger technique.

Not stopping and having landed upon the earth platform below him, Shiro moves at a speed of 150 to reach his upper back with his right hand. Form it, he grips a handle of bone and removes his spine which is immediately replaced. This spine has a length of Shiro's back of course but may extend to as long at 30 meters. While doing this, he travels the five meter distance between his end of the pillar and the other end at 75 speed. Here, Shiro watches for Shiroi's new location should she avoid the air pressure projectile. The spine in his hand will then act as a whip, extended at a speed of 244 speed (throwing speed, check my math on this). Shiro's right hand holding the handle of the spine follows what movements Shiroi makes in order to lead the bone whip into wrapping around her.

An Exchange of Fists to Clear One's Mind [P] - Page 2 Empty Re: An Exchange of Fists to Clear One's Mind [P]

Shiroi's hands shot under her, catching onto the ground before she started on her way again. Shiro had jetted off rather spectacularly as Shiroi finished a roll to land on her feet, running in the direction her namealike had gone.

Of course, something rather unexpected happened when suddenly there was a giant pillar atop the ground with Shiro on top of it! This did not deter Shiroi. Even as the man removed his spine (ew), Shiroi ran at the pillar.

One fist forward, Shiroi collided with the earthen tower with all her power. It crumbled under the massive power, a large chunk of it even flying several meters out from under it. However, the majority remained where it had been... until gravity kicked in. Shiroi continued to run through it, charging through the earthen debris, knocking rocks out of her way. Soon, the pillar would be tumbling, and the explosion would only make it more chaotic.

Shiroi would throw her arms and legs across her back. Yes, this would suspend her and she would go crashing down to the ground. But a few scrapes was better than being blown up, so it would have to do. A rather simple block, it was.

[Assume Shiroi missed a step somewhere and that caused her to be late at reaching the pillar]

An Exchange of Fists to Clear One's Mind [P] - Page 2 Empty Re: An Exchange of Fists to Clear One's Mind [P]

Shiro's sight of Shiroi is lost by the time he rises and sets up to perform the Daytime Tiger technique. Without a target to aim at and not knowing that she is directly in front of the pillar, Shiro rests his arms and lands upon the edge of the platform. Just after this, the pillar violently erupts from beneath him. Chunks of earth fly outward from the point of impact at a speed of 100. The general chunk upon which Shiro is standing remains intact, now traveling back ward at the same speed as these other debris.

Quickly looking around at the direction of the now airborne stones, Shiro determines their point of origin using multiple stones to pin point the location. He locks his sights on Shiroi at the base of where the pillar used to exist. At a speed of 150, Shiro leans forward and launches downward towards Shiroi as she is suspended in falling. Bones protrude from Shiro's body at a speed of 190 and he descends like a bullet at a speed of 45 (initial jumping speed). It is before leaving his rock that his legs twist to add a spin to his downward jump.

All of Shiro's actions occur at a speed of 150 where applicable and in succession.

Shiro's line of descent is aimed to impact Shiroi on her way to the ground. The bones have a sharpness of 80.

An Exchange of Fists to Clear One's Mind [P] - Page 2 Empty Re: An Exchange of Fists to Clear One's Mind [P]

[I told Shiro about how he wouldn't have footing to launch himself and would instead be free falling. He agrees with this situation and decided to not edit. Going to be responding to him free falling from his position atop the pillar.]
[Seeing as there was no explosion, there is nothing for Shiroi to block, so she never did the blocking motion.]

Shiroi turned on her heel, swinging her weight to maintain as much momentum as possible, and looked towards where Shiro was falling from. Shiroi pulls out a kunai from the pocket of her hoodie, and rushes towards Shiro. Given their positions, Shiroi, moving at max speed, will reach the freefalling Shiro as he is still two feet off the ground, and that is what her intentions are. With the debris of the pillar having been flung away from Shiro, he had little chance of dodging.

But Shiroi was not looking to kill the man. She held the kunai backwards, ring pointing towards Shiro, blade pointing to Shiroi's side, to that if she did connect, it would be a simple matter of her saying 'and you're dead' and the spar would be over without major injury.

An Exchange of Fists to Clear One's Mind [P] - Page 2 Empty Re: An Exchange of Fists to Clear One's Mind [P]

(So, I said that my posts are between 400 and 700 words long. Let this be an exception that will probably not come up again)

Shiro falls facing the ground following the desecration of his beautifully made earthen structure (curse the fist that brought it to ruin). And he falls facing the ground because that's what happens.

Shiroi is also below directly below him and he sees her gripping a kunai with its blade in no dangerous location. As Shiro is free falling, his arms move to the front of his body in preparation to catch Shiroi's own hand. He descends and latches onto the arm Shiroi is using with his right hand. His left hand wraps around the hand holding the kunai.

The next moment, a green glow emanates from Shiro's hands and Shiroi's energy is sapped from her body. Shiro's grip has a strength of 130 and his arms move to their positions at a speed of 150. The rest of his body is pulled towards the ground and he lands on his feet.

Now standing upon the ground, Shiro swings his arms to his right. Shiroi is moved in this direction and thrown at a speed of 180 when Shiro's hands let go of her.

Shiroi did not fight back as Shiro grabbed onto her arm Instead, she smiled, rather menacingly even. You dun went and fucked it right up, boy might have gone through her head if she spoke like that. The idea of that thought was certainly recognized, just not in those words.

As Shiro grabbed on, Shiroi grabbed back, gripping the fingers of the hand that was wrapping around her hand. Shiroi's other hand shot over to try to grab onto Shiro's wrist of the hand that was gripping Shiroi's hand. Whether or not these grips were successful, Shiroi would still move to her next action, as Shiro's grip alone was enough to be certain of the success.

Shiroi would jam one heel into the ground. Her entire body would suddenly pivot around this heel, which was opposite the arm that had been grabbed. This would force Shiro's body to follow after. At the speed Shiroi had been going, which was largely maintained, Shiro would be practically levitated above the ground, as he was never given the chance to land. During this motion, which Shiroi sped up to her maximum speed using her other leg, her head would not turn. Or rather, it would, but in the opposite direction and same speed as her body. So to an outside observer, it would appear that Shiroi's head was perfectly stationary during this.

An Exchange of Fists to Clear One's Mind [P] - Page 2 Empty Re: An Exchange of Fists to Clear One's Mind [P]

Full of tricks, Shiro thinks as he begins to turn to his right in the air. The front of his body is the first to begin turning while his lower body follows. Shiroi has this much strength, enough to pull Shiro in any direction with ease. She has enough humor in her to fix her head in place while her body spins... this is who I am sparring...

The absorption of chakra from Shiroi's body is uninterrupted. At it goes on, Shiro feels partially rejuvenated and regains some measure of cardiovascular endurance. He ceases his chakra absorption technique, the green glow coming from his hands dimming until it disappears. Though he cannot remove his hands due to Shiroi's own grip, he manages to formulate a new plan of action.

The Dance of the Larch commences, bones protrude from Shiro's body not long enough to come into contact with Shiroi's body with the exception of those which grow from his forearms which are meant to stab into Shiroi's hands and arms. Should Shiro be let go of and thrown in a direction before the beginning of the Larch Dance, this will not be Shiro's reaction.

At the same time that the bones begin to exit Shiro's body, he also puts his Honenashi skill into action. His shoulders unhinge and his wrists loosen up. The entirety of his body is spun using his hands and their contact with Shiroi. Shiro's hand that is on Shiroi's arm is not restrained as the other hand is. This hand is free to lift itself off of Shiroi's arm and place itself onto it once more when his body makes a full rotation. The speed of this spinning is 190 and it begins just after Shiroi latches onto Shiro.

Shiroi's letting go of Shiro to throw him in any direction will result in Shiro ceasing his spinning and retracting his bone blades.

(Note: Shiroi loses 40 AP due to Chakra Absorption)

An Exchange of Fists to Clear One's Mind [P] - Page 2 Empty Re: An Exchange of Fists to Clear One's Mind [P]

Sun Mar 12, 2017 7:06 pm
Shiroi had no desire to let go. This was fun. But she also desired to end this, hopefully. Before Shiro began growing bones from his arm, Shiroi would violently jerk her arm down before returning it to the previous height. This would send a small ripple down Shiro's body. Directly after, she would stop her rotation and lean back, yanking Shiro after her in such a way that any bones that grew from him would not reach anything other than her arm (which she did not realize before feeling the pain of them poking a centimeter or two into her arm). Thankfully, by this point her second hand, that bad been grabbing Shiro's wrist, had already let go so that she could balance herself for the next part.

With Shiro's body flying over Shiroi's chest, she would continue bending back, bringing one leg off the ground as well. Eventually, her head would be below her waist, and then straight upside down as she jerked once again at her grip on Shiro, pulling his upper body down and to the ground. This actions would have the inadvertent affect of getting her arm out of the way before Shiro could grab back on, meaning he did not have the grip to start turning, which would have allowed him to avoid being slammed onto his stomach. Shiroi held back enough to hopefully not seriously harm him, but she really did not hold back much, so he would barely be in an OK position if this went through.

As Shiro's head would hit the ground, which would land before his legs, Shiroi would stand up on one arm, and the other foot would leave the ground to join the follow the first, though lagging far behind, as the first leg would land upon Shiro's back, close to the bottom, before it had fully landed, assuming something did not prevent this or make it a poor choice. Shiroi would make sure to stamp her foot on the dull edge of a bone, so as to allow her to for the man down without making her leg into swiss cheese.

The final act would be pulling upon Shiro's arm. If all went as planned, this would put him in an exceedingly uncomfortable position. The position was more than uncomfortable, however. If not for his joint freeing ability, this position, his ass forced on the ground, and his back forcibly arched the way it was, would have been mere centimeters from breaking the spine, should enough force have been applied. Since Shiroi did not know about the man's join trickery, she would be careful to adjust her hold in the case of Shiro struggling, to avoid breaking the man's back. However, this was her attempt, once again, at getting the man to concede. Hopefully it worked this time.
