The definition of beauty (Kinkotsu and Yume) Empty The definition of beauty (Kinkotsu and Yume)

Fri Mar 07, 2014 12:02 am
Kinkotsu had finally finished his workout routine and started becoming very bored with himself. He truly could not contemplate what he had wanted to do. The day was almost over as he began to watch the sun fade away into the mountains. The clouds began to blacken and it would officially become night as Kinkotsu began to wonder around the village. The lights of shops and homes would light the path as he wondered about for about an hour just relaxing his body.

He would then hear a bit of commotion which contained loud laughter and conversations. It came from the near by pub. Kin had never truly hung out in one because he was not of age. Even though he was only sixteen years of age he had a very toned body and his stature would have one think he was older. He attempted to get into the back of the pub to try and get himself his first drink. Kin had smuggled into a crowd of people and slipped in without being noticed.

He approached the bar and began to tap. "Hey, can I get some sake here please!" Having hoped he would not be carded and used his confidence to obtain what he wanted.

There, Kinkotsu would notice the bartender unattentive to him. He barely had set down the glass down in front of Kinkotsu, bottle unopened in his hands. His face was turned away, eyes cast off into an intent stare. His cheeks and eyes were red and lips were upturned into a pitiful snivel. If Kinkotsu cared to follow the direction of the gaze, he'd see two people. A man and a woman.

The man was frozen, leaning back halfway as the woman was already reaching forward, with a slender hand on his shoulder to keep him in place and lips locked with his. The bartender in front of Kinkotsu choked and made a small noise, like a strained crying puppy.

Yume pulled back and away from the unknown man, the hand on his shoulder slid across and broke off the weak chain and pendant he was wearing around. She smiled at him coyly while he was wide-eyed, the chain hanging loosely from her palm. Her smile silently admitted that it was her prize.

By this time, the bartender whimpered a little bit more and slammed the sealed bottle of sake on the counter. "Take it!" he yelled and ducked under the counter, huddling his knees near the boxes of his alcoholic merchandise. It left Kinkotsu with a free bottle of sake. Now if he only had some sort of corkscrew to uncork his unexpected gift.

Kinkotsu was truly amazed to see such a thing. The bartender had slammed this unopened bottle of sake right in front of him. The woman down the bar was some sting of luck for Kin not only getting the bottle free of charge but also an entire thing. He grabbed the bottle and left the counter before anything would change this very exciting present he just received. So happy he began to walk around the crowd to go and thank the woman but could not find the courage to walk up to her. Half way toward her he decided to try to build his confidence with a quick shot of the sake. Looking to open the bottle he would realize that his foolishness made his luck run out quick. The bottle needed some type of corkscrew to open and he unfortunately had none. He grabbed a shuriken and attempted to open it with that while he continued walking toward the woman and man around the crowded bar.

Yume's ears perked up when the bartender cried and she turned to look the moment dropped under the counter. "Hmm..." She peered just for a little longer and as the man she was with opened his mouth to say something, her finger easily pressed against his lips to shush him. 'Tohru is doing strange things again...' she thought idly with a sprinkle of amusement; not at all too fussed on the condition of the bartender.

She noticed the full bottle of sake on the counter and some male had taken it excitedly. He was walking towards her with a shuriken in his hand, trying to uncork the bottle. Hopefully he doesn't accidentally take someone's eye out. Turning back to her temporary male companion, she murmured for him to leave her. He did so, albeit not without grumbles under his breath, as Yume checked her make up and hair in her little compact mirror. The slightest tilt of the accessory allowed her to examine Kinkotsu as he slowly and distractedly approached. The way he handled the sake bottle hinted to her just what type he was. Young.

Kinkotsu had such a very rough time as he tried to open the bottle. He hated the fact that he was tearing the cork and was afraid it may ruin the sake. After he finally pierced it through entirely he was able to have the shuriken rotated to begin getting the cork to loosen. He finally got the cork out. One quick sip and he would notice the woman was beginning to make her way toward him. He almost became defenseless because her beauty was so appealing. One more quick sip and he instantly gained the courage to act as if the beauty meant nothing. His nerves were numb and his brain was in such a clear and calm state. Kinkotsu never felt this way before. He was suddenly the coolest guy in the room from his sudden new found feeling. His confidence went sky high and he attempted to act so by just hanging out and sip very little from the bottle at a time. He realized this stuff could lead to trouble so he would act a bit more drunk than he actually was at the time. The only difference was that he personally was not shy and had no issue talking to anyone, which proved the alcohol had some effect.

[She didn't move yet but I'll let it go x3]

Ah, yes. Alcohol was magical like that. Through her compact mirror she watched Kinkotsu take a swig, surprised that he didn't wince from the bitterness, and change in demeanour so quickly. Snapping the mirror shut, Yume pocketed it away and slid off her seat. She headed over, taking the seat next to Kinkotsu with grace. She looked at him directly for a moment and then leaned over the counter in order to see the sad mop of hair that belonged to the bartender.

"Tohru..."
she purred. "You're not going to keep a lady waiting, are you?"

Almost instantly he shot up from hiding and proceeded to mix a drink. He slid the glass over, a cocktail Yume never cared to know the name of, but it was sweet and layered with colour after pretty colour. The best part of that was...

"Here you go Yume-chan. On the house."
The woman smiled. His personality was erratic, but as long as she knew that, she wouldn't be trying to imitate it. The bartender pointed to Kinkotsu. "You... You're paying for all of that."

Taking a sip from the straw first, Yume peered over to look at Kinkotsu. She stared, her red eyes glimmering, and as the bartender continued to give the underage boy flack, she finally spoke. "How young."
