To Topple a Throne

It was a cold misty morning as Nietzsche walked down the deserted streets to the Mizukage’s office. The Hachibi had spurred him on to the course of action he was about to pursue. It was a nasty business taking the title of Mizukage, but Nietzsche intended to do it. He had not always been this greedy for power, but upon mastering the black demonic cloak of the Hachibi he found that besides giving him more power the process also brought him closer to the bijuu and it's emotions. The bijuu’s want for power had drifted over into Nietzsche’s mind and planted itself like a seed in his subconscious. Now the seed was coming to fruition as it took hold of his mind. He planned to bring about a peaceful transfer of power, but if that was not possible he would regrettably turn to violence. Gaining entrance to the Mizukage’s chambers was not a problem. Nietzsche was a well-respected member of the Mist so there would be no reason to preclude him from seeing the Mizukage. He now stood in front of the Mizukage’s office. Before knocking he adjusted a few straps here and there on his Jounin flak jacket as it had become rather loose. He then gave the door a sharp rap and waited for a response; he wanted power, but there was no point in being too rude about it.

Been over 48 Hours; I was informed that Fire Goddess was PM'd about the issue. Because this is a Kage Challenge it cannot be ignored and thus Nietz takes over as new Mizukage.

Nietzsche was getting impatient. He had been standing outside the Mizukage's office for a good half an hour and had no response from within. Even Nietzsche's politeness had a breaking point and this was it; he would not wait any longer. He turned the door knob expecting to have a horde of ANBU on him in a second, but instead the door just swung open and rested with a dull thud on the wall. Cautiously Nietzsche entered the room and looked around. The place was abandoned-or so it seemed. There was a fine layer of dust over everything, which led Nietzsche to believe no one had been in this office for a while. Sighing he walked over to the desk that was situated in the back of the office so it faced the door. Brushing the dust off the large oaken chair Nietzsche looked down at the desk and found that the customary Mizukage hat lay there. He had not noticed it before, because it’s fine blue color had been masked by dust. Taking a seat Nietzsche picked up the hat and brushed it off. He then placed it on his head. It felt a bit heavy, but also like it belonged. Taking the Kageship had been a lot easier than he had excepted and thankfully he had not had to spill any blood. For now the Hachibi’s urges for power were silenced. Nietzsche had reached the highest point of political power in the village of the Mist. Unfortunately all that remained now was to get this office cleaned and move into his new home. Also he would have to immediately begin helping his village. Nietzsche could not remember the last time there had been a Kage who had not stayed in their home their entire reign as Mizukage and he intended to change that. He was also pretty sure that he would have to overhaul the defenses of the Mist as they had fallen in caliber, though those matters were for another time. For now he was going to take the day and get used to his new duties as Kage. The first of those duties was to explain to the elders how he was now the Mizukage, but even that could wait Nietzsche just wanted to sit in the Kage’s chair for another couple minutes. Closing his eyes he allowed his mind to flow. During that flow his mind was not occpied by thoughts, but by one overiding feeling: peace. After those minutes of reflection he got up to start his business as the new Mizukage of Kirigakure.
