Scribework (wip) Empty Scribework (wip)

Sun Jul 25, 2021 4:31 pm
Participating Shinobi: Uchiha, Shiroyasha

Shiroyasha had been working had recently. His recent recognition as a team lead for village patrols was akin to a promotion. Now he could work at more varied times of the day and night, as well his work was generally safer. With a team to back him up the last few weeks had been comforting. Shiro had grown used to being along on the battlefield, but things were changing. Everything had been getting better.

The young priest had rarely thought about his mother, since the last few months since she passed away. After the children came to their temple, she became her own memory. There was no more grieving between Shiro and his father, just brief memories they shared of her.

Sitting at a desk in the Kozai Yuki Archives, Shiro was filling out submittal papers for some of the recently publicized sciences of Ho-Musubi. The young priest servant was wearing his usual black robes, the six pointed Tomoe star embroidered to the back and facing the official representative whom was at his own desk.

Shiroyasha was checking here, and signing there. The submittal heading to the Archives "Species" section, he made sure to double check everything. Shiroyasha had actually written this scroll he was submitting. Usually the Temple of Ho-Musubi kept their findings confidential, especially since most of it was personal philosophy or ended up being downright wrong. The scroll Shiro had written however was a detailed report of a unique style of Katon present in his fathers summonings.

Despite the literary nature of the scroll being a report of a Katon sub style, Shiro was filing it under Species. The official insisted since eventually the species would be studied to determine the link between their use of chakra and Katon itself.

Shiroyasha actually supported the mans belief. In fact according to his father he would soon inherit a family of Kasai foxes. The ninja was writing in the submittal request, and wondered how he might be able to assist the Archives with this one day. Shiro frowned hoping they didnt expect a cadaver.

The report was brief and was headed by the following title, "Katon; Motaru Hiohaku" which means Mortal FireBreath. According to Kasai foxes this the the true mystical fire. This Katon release can imbue the reciever, not the victim, with the ability to breathe fire. This trait had only ever been utilized by Male Kasai fox.

The officiary signed and dotted everything, confirming the submittal. Shiro was instructed with turning in the scroll he had written, which he did. The young man was proud of himself, and began a life long hobby as a scribe.

A week later, after studying more with his father, Shiroyasha had written a second scroll. This one was filed the same way, under species. Shiroyasha was thankful for the Kozai scribes help, since the new info on Kasai Foxes was unrelated to Katon. Or seemingly so. This next scroll detailed the female Kasai foxes own unique mystical power.

This report was titled, "Kasai Fox: Motaru Jintai." This was translated to mean Mortal Human Body, and referred to the Kasai foxes ability to assume a human form. The females were able to initiate a transformation, among themselves or another fox, that gave the fox an almost perfectly human appearance. This transformation was particularly remarkable for maintaining godlike features as the tail and ears.

The report detailed how the females are known to possess extra Transformations by their tails, as well the different forms that are chosen by foxes. The scroll was a bit thicker than the last, but not by much. After Shiro filled out all of the necessary paper works, the official pointed him in the direction where he would store his scroll.

Shiroyasha made his way to the same place he had been to last time, and noted there was no changes. It seemed no one had viewed his scroll. Shiro grumbled about thankless work, and stored the scroll in a new box. He had one for males, and one for females. Shiro was proud of his work, and on his way home he was thinking of a way he might publicize Ho-Musubi's scientific research among Hoshigakure.
