Appearance: Lightweight metal-alloy plates attached to leather armour. A faceplate attached to a leather and cloth helmet protects the wearer's face and obscures their appearance.

Backstory: The primary reason that Kotetsu became a blacksmith was to help provide for his adopted village. His initial creations were to help improve the village in terms of properly equipping its shinobi. Teams were more likely to survive if they had some form of lightweight armour that could help mitigate attacks. Kotetsu had found a vein of metal that was significantly lighter than iron. When alloyed with iron, it provided a better strength to weight ratio than regular steel.

Each suit of armour is tailored to the person wearing it for optimal fit and comfort. Each full suit of body armour weighs 20 pounds.
