[Mission] Page in: The Postal Proposal

Mission Details:

Page woke up to notice Sheffield was gone, and after but a moment of panic, saw a few rabbits and squirrels decorating the ground around him, all with bite marks in their necks. Page stood up, stretched out proper, assembled the gathered meat, and started heading to his shack. Looked like a tree had fallen over and taken out the building. Whatever greater forces may be out there, they wanted him out of there. The former farmer took some of the scrapped wood from the ruins, fixed it up like a boy scout and started up another fire, cooking enough food for himself, and more than he would assume would be enough for Sheffield. The ate their breakfast then departed down the nearest road, walking down till they could find some sort of small town.

The Inuzuka clan member made his way down the road with his animal companion on a full stomach, eventually catching sight of signs of greater civilization than the simple dirt path they had been travelling on. As Page and Sheffield walked into the village they were met with mostly cold shoulders, the occasional suspicious glance, and towards the center of the city, the appearance of a middle-aged man breaking down in the middle of town square. "Everything going okay there buddy?" Page spoke towards the man in quite obvious duress. 

"Wha.. oh, are you an outsider? A traveler perhaps? I am in quite the difficult position, I must finish the preparation for my daughter's wedding, but the courier isn't here and I need someone to deliver the dowry. It is of great sentimental value to the other family and I can even throw in... 500 ryo," the man said, rising in excitement as it became more and more likely his problem was going to be solved.

Lacking a proper place to sleep or a solid source of food, Page wasn't going to say no to the easy money and spoke up "Sure thing, what do you need delivered and where do you need it delivered. Me and Shef 'ere could easily get it where ever you need it to be in as little time as possible." 

The man whose name the former farmer never got then opened up, "Well I need you to deliver this parcel, sealed," he picked out a paper covered package and handed it to the missing ninja, "to the neighboring village of Nuk, there you shall deliver it to one Shinsuke Akimichi, tell him that is the dowry, that should make everything run smoothly."

"Anything I got to worry about along the way, anyone who don't want to see this marriage go through that has enough confidence and fool hardiness to do something about it?" Page asked.

"None other than the fates it seems," the troubled father replied.

And so Page and Sheffield hit the road again immediately, making a b line for this village of Nuk. After spending some time going completely the wrong way, Page found a road sign that oh so graciously told him he should have been going in the opposite direction. It took him some time, but with a clear path he made it to the village of Nuk, the house of Shinsuke Akimichi, and delivered the package. He then returned to the man who originally gave him the task, having caught and recognized his scent.

"Finished up the delivery, we get the payment out of the way and we are done here, easy," Page said, having caught the man in the middle of setting up white drapes. 

"Ah, yes, yes, here you go" the man said. And with that, page thought, we were finished. He picked up his reward and went right back on the road.
