Stop the Fire - C rank Empty Stop the Fire - C rank

Nights were pretty somber in Hoshi regardless of where he had been, either in the water gardens or even his own room. Today he had been laying in the grass of the water gardens looking up at the stars of a clear blue sky thinking on all of the things that had happened so far," Everything is moving as it should, but I need to do more...Can't get complacent with where i'm at now right brother?," the boys eyes slowly looked to the left as he head leaned toward that direction to see the sway of nine tiny tails. His brother and partner walked forward on all fours before curling up beside the boy and nodding," You sure do have a longer way to go, but you are doing things with a sense of urgency which is good. Maybe we should take another visit home when the time is right so everyone can see how much you've grown," and its true. The boy was just five years old physically a few days ago, but not he had grown into a fine ten year old due to medicinal means. While he still needed to grow he was mentally smarter than anyone of his age. The night sky from his end had been pretty clear, but else where in the village something was going on.

Smoke had filled the once peaceful air of Hoshigakure as a building, who's reason for being on fire wasn't known, but it was blazing in the air threatening to claim both lives and buildings.. Ninja were called out to help assist the effort to put the building which on fire out, save people that were still inside and above all keep the citizens outside as calm as possible so that they could do their job. The scent of smoking and burning wood filled the nostrils of the fox as he perked up and looked around sniffing the air swiftly which had caused the young Hayate male to look at his brother and then take a whiff of the air himself. Something was off and he knew this smell all to well," Something is on fire. Quick Koan change and let's go see what's going on," the small fox nodded and transformed into a small boy, not even five foot seven but looked a little older than Kazuhiro did with no tails. Together the two of them had left the comfort of the Water Gardens and soon entered into the fray of the panic ridden city of Hoshi.

With haste the two brothers made it to the scene seeing many ninja already helping to get the fire out by getting water, knowing that ninjutsu was forbidden they decided to use more normal methods instead. They had stopped somewhere close to the fire zone, seeing many people crying or shouting for their family members. Maybe they were stuck inside of the building or lost somewhere outside of it scared and alone, that wasn't for him to dwell on. Quickly he stepped up to the nearest guard who looked as if they were issuing orders and stood to them," I'm here to help tell me what I need to do so me and my brother can get to helping," the elder male didn't even look at the child before trying to shoo him off to his family. Kazuhiro silently stared at the male for a moment before making his presence known,"I'm sorry i was asking at first now i'm demanding. Look at me and tell me what I need to do," the male now angered looked down to the boy to see who he was before he realized it and apologized. Quickly he tried to brief Kazuhiro on the situation, telling him that people were still stuck in the building and that they still needed people to keep those outside at bay. Nodding he looked to his brother who had only been listening and looking at the fire.

" Koan I need you to help them try and keep the people at bay and calm, the more they become stable the more people that can help out in the effort. I'm going to go in and save as many as I can, if there aren't that many people I can easily get in and out before anything happens alright?," the young boy had already come up with a plan of attack and now it was time to execute it. The young fox boy simply nodded and went to the barricade yelling at the top of his tiny lungs," PEOPLE OF HOSHI CALM YOURSELVES AND STAND BACK SO THE GUARDS AND HELPERS CAN DO THEIR JOB. THOSE THAT CAN DO ANYTHING PLEASE ASSIST IN GETTING WATER SO THAT THE FIRE DOESN'T SPREAD. ANYONE WITH MEDICAL EXPERIENCE OR ANY FORM OF THE SORT PLEASE ASSIST WHERE NEEDED. We need all the help we can get to tame this fire and save the loved ones in it," the young fox had made a small impression on the people as he stepped back and watched as they mumbled for a bit before getting into action. In the meantime Kazuhiro had been preparing himself to go into the building, pushing his mop bucket hair back he sighed and waited before going in. Surely someone was going to come with him to assist in getting the people out.

Shiroi saw the smoke.
The metric fuckton of smoke.
Seriously, that entire section of the sky was black, and she couldn't see the sun behind the cloud. What the ever loving fuck was going on?
To the roofs she went, and from this perch she caught her first glimpses of licks of orange reaching up into the sky. Not good, not good at all.

It would not be long before a blur could be seen jumping from one rooftop into the window of an upper floor. The crash and sounds of shattered glass would be obvious from below. The short woman would begin running through the upper stories of the building, searching for any unfortunate enough to still be in here. During the run over, she had wrapper her scarf around her mouth and nose, and let the headband show. There was no point hiding that she was a ninja when she'd be running, jumping, and lifting the entire time.

She had nearly clear a floor when the cry for help reached her ears. It was the opposite side of the building. How had she missed that?

A small child was in the corner of a room. A wardrode had fallen over them, trapping them in the corner. Thankfully it had not fallen on them. Yes, them, The small child was hugging a small dog. Not a puppy by the looks of it, just a small breed. The child was crying and coughing, and the dog had already passed out.

Shiroi grabbed them up. The child seemed scared, but was too weak to fight back. She could not even hold onto the small dog, but Shiroi was able to catch the tiny thing.

Shiroi turned to the door. Sure, she had been able to run through the flames fast enough to avoid the heat death of her clothing, but she could not safely move that fast with the child and dog, and they almost certainly would not survive it. So instead she reasoned that the window was the best bet.

"Here's hoping the backdraft doesn't kill us," she whispered as she ran for the window, guarding her 'cargo' with her chest and ramming the window with her back. It was a few stories fall, and this position would not, in any way, allow her to cushion her own collision. But she could keep the child and dog safe, and the fall wouldn't kill her. She'd probably even be able to get up and walk away after, though a bit stiff certainly.

Hopefully there was no one under her, and if there was, someone would get them out of the way.

Stop the Fire - C rank Empty Re: Stop the Fire - C rank

He was prepared to go in, a small piece of cloth covered his mouth and nose as his red eyes peered into the building only to here the wind whistling against something. He didn't know what it was but as his eyes looked up he could see something coming from one of the higher floors. His first instinct was to shove as many people away from the area as he could, Kaz himself being a few feet from whatever it was as it hit the ground and his eyes blinked," Its you again! No time to say hello, but if you could help out a little more that would be nice, i'm going in to find any other people in there," and with that he put the cloth back on his face and dove into the fire rather recklessly. One thing that was good and bad about this boy was that his fears were none, but his recklessness was large.

At first glance among the fire he saw nothing, but he heard it all amidst the roars of the flame. A few voices to his right in a room, not a few feet from that a couple more people. Children crying for their mothers and in some cases mothers crying for their children. The sound caused him to falter only for a moment before he knew what he needed to do and with that in mind he began to move forward. He kept his wits about him as he continued to move toward the first room, his eyes catching sight of something obstructing the door which made him stop dead in his tracks. With all of the fire he could make ample shadows to cut down from the doors. Holding his hands only a few inches from his body, he began to form three tendrils of shadows, cutting deep into the wood to free the door and before long? He cut through the door and stepped in," Hello anyone in here?," he looked left and right before seeing a small child and their mother sat in a corner. The mother had been shielding the young child from the flames, cuddling the child into her chest as the child continued to cry.

"Don't worry i'm here to get you out of here come on now! Not much time and the way is clear for a moment," The woman who had finally opened her eyes saw the boy and said nothing on why a child had come to save her but she grabbed her child and quickly fled out of the building. Before leaving the room he checked high and low for any form of person, man or animal alike before going to the next room that he heard voices in. The door wasn't blocked but he could feel the fires ramping up so he had to make it quick. Kicking the door down he would see a few people huddled up by the window trying to get someones attention, save the kids they said. It was all they wanted even if it meant their lives were done. Luckily a child had came to save them and no one had to die again. "Hey come on help is finally here! Come on come on! Don't have long before this place comes down," he ushered to he people quickly, but they didn't waste time.

Almost pushing him over is what they had done, but he knew they were scared. They couldn't help but panic and run out into the crowd joining their loved ones if they were out there, and if not? Well he was going to continue combing the area that he had been in. He ran back out and took a deep breath of air to fill his lungs, the feeling of slowly breathing in smoke had been kicking his ass and yet he had to do this. Looking around he could see that they were doing a good job on containing the fire and now it was up to him and his mission buddy to do the rest. Running back into the building he continued to comb and scour the floor he had been on, his eyes looking through everything and thinking of where they could be. A few shouts would have left his lips which only caused to reverberate through the flaming chard remains of wood and pillar falling around him.

Stop the Fire - C rank Empty Re: Stop the Fire - C rank

Fri Jul 14, 2017 8:48 pm
"ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUCK---"
"ing HELL that hurt.'

Shiroi opened her eyes, lifting her head to look towards the tiny (well, not so tiny compared to her) beings curled up against her chest. The little girl had lifted her head up from being buried in Shiroi's clothing. She was crying and a big frown was on her face, but as Shiroi lifted her head up, the little girl's mouth started to curve upwards. Shiroi reflected the smile back and shifted the girl off her body. She started to sit up. She was right, her back was stiff, and even while lifting up on her elbows, she cracked her back several times. The little dog was breathing pretty heavily and the small girl went to grab it. Shiroi handed it over and told the girl to go talk to the man in the uniform over there, "Tell him you need help finding your parents." The girl ran off with a nod.

Shiroi cracked her neck. She rotated her shoulders. A few pops. Twist above her waist? Yep, crinkle crick crack. After going for a backwards hand stand, she felt enough stiffness had been cleared out to continue. She stretched her left and broke into a run. She jumped, placed her feet upon the wall, pushed herself up, and grabbed a windowsill on the third floor before swinging herself in.

It was time for her to run around inside the building more.

Creak. Crack. What's that?

Creeeeeeak

"Oh FU-"

Shiroi had tried to run. That did not work out, the roof caved in too fast. The floor was not going to hold on long either. Sure, she was able t avoid getting hit, but this did not bode well for the building. Any fire fighting crew would be giving up on saving the building, in the rare chance they had not already, and would now be in "do not let it spread" mode. Chances are, most people, even ninja, would be called out of the building now, due to safety issues. She doubted Kazuhiro would be able to safely remain inside the building more than a few minutes more. Then again he could be remarkably resilient, but that seemed unlikely.

Shiroi was now in a corner of a room, blocked in on all sides. She could easily punch through a wall, but she did not know which walls were load bearing, and accelerating the downfall of this building was anything but wise. For a similar reason, going through the floor was unwise. And of course, shifting the fallen rubble could trigger another shift of mass and crash through the floor.

Great options, right?

Stop the Fire - C rank Empty Re: Stop the Fire - C rank

Fri Jul 14, 2017 10:19 pm
The smoke in the sky was a message that a fire had broken out somewhere within the village. Kyousuke could see the carbon filled air flow upwards, from his window inside of the palace. He could easily tell the fire was quite some distance away and that surely ninja would already be on the scene to stop the spread. Thinking about it momentarily the man had never stopped a fire, perhaps today was the day. With that thought he would turn his skin grey using his sage transformation, grow a pair of wings and outside the window he would go.

In the sky Kyousuke had a bird’s eye view of what was happening. A building was on fire and people were moving away from the flames. A good idea for anyone incapable of trying to stop the fire. The jugo had quite the distance to go, before he would reach the quickly burning building. Perhaps he could speed his wings up with a little boost from the inner gates. “Gate of Life, open!” The man would say in the sky as his greyish-brown skin took on a red hue, due to the blood in his body pumping rapidly. His skin appeared to be reddish-brown now. He looked like a devil with his black pupil-less eyes. If people already feared ninja as demons and devils, this would increase that fear.

The fourth gate, gate of pain located on the spinal cord within the thoracic spine. The male would think as he attempted to channel his energy toward the gate and force the gate open. “Ga… Ahh…” Kyousuke would mutter as he began to feel the strain of the third gate. “Gate of Pain, open!” The man’s muscles would expand further at this point as they strengthened. His wings even looked as if they had been doing some heavy lifting by this point. I can really feel the pain inside of this gate.

At the moment though he had arrived and he could feel a familiar chakra signature that of Shiroi’s. The jugo’s eyes would up and down the building looking for a blown-out window large enough to fit him. As he spotted it, he would fly towards it with incredible speed, before folding his wings in and twisting through the window until he was on the other side. Where he would then un-fold his wings and stop his momentum. Luckily, the building had been untouched by the man otherwise he may have taken a few chunks out of a nearly already collapsed building.

“Shiroi, are you here?” The man would ask in the direction he sensed the woman. While doing this the man would also pick up the chakra of a few others. One being larger than the others, most likely a ninja of the village. If the girl answered the man would move to her location using his wings as he did not wish to add weight to the place. He would hold his breath as the smoke rose towards him however, so he would only use hand signals once, his question was answered.

Stop the Fire - C rank Empty Re: Stop the Fire - C rank

The smell of smoke continued to perverse the air as Kazuhiro pushed into the room where he heard the noise not that long ago, his eyes trailing along as he tried to get into contact with the person inside," Hello anyone in there?," the young boy simply called out in order to ascertain if his ears were deceiving him. He listened for a few moment before hearing muffled coughing and the sound of a child's voice leaving the room which assured him of one thing- this was the last person currently on the floor he had been on. The door was stuck behind a single beam, burning and keeping whoever had been inside also keeping him from getting into the room. The boy knew of only one thing to do and as he slipped his hands into a familiar seal to himself, his shadow began to distort and wrap around the beam. As he continued to embraced the flaming wood with his shadow he would use a little more of his chakra to cut into it making sure that he did it in a way that would not only remove the obstacle but assure that nothing came down on him.

With his task completed he pushed into the room to see a child just a little younger than himself sitting in a corner trying to survive, something had been over his mouth and Kazuhiro could tell the boy was scared frightened. As he slowly walked over to the child his shadow retracted back into his original form as he leaned down to the boy," I'm here to save you. C'mon before the building collapses," of course the young boy hesitated since he had seen the shadow behind the boy moving and due to him being a normal civilian he was raised to be scared of someone like him. The elder male could see it in his eyes that the boy was scared of him, but he had to assure the child of one thing,"I'm not going to hurt you. The fact that I am here to help you get out is a sign of that. We aren't all bad...Now we could sit here and talk about this while we burn to death or..we can get out to our respective families," the child who had been staring at him cautiously realized one key thing- his family.

It took two minutes before the boy realized that this ninja was his only hope and sadly because of this their way was blocked by burning flame. Great. With no apparent way out Kazuhiro looked at his options before seeing a single window. "Would this work? Would i end up collapsing the building somehow if i....screw it i'm going for it," the boy took the younger child's hand and nodded," Keep what i'm about to do between the two of us okay?," as he spoke this two shadow tendrils appeared behind him and cut through the window leaving a safe exit for just a moment. As he pushed the kid out, he slowly clambered out before returning to the crowd with the boy, his lungs finally filling with fresh, not death air. Unfortunately he was now out of options to go in and simply aided in the attempt to tame the fire.

Stop the Fire - C rank Empty Re: Stop the Fire - C rank

Sun Jul 16, 2017 10:18 pm
Shiroi was curled up into a small ball, chin on her knees. The collapse had at least given her enough room to sit mostly straight up. And she could distract herself by picking at her cuticles and nails until it seemed about the right time to get the fuck out. Hopefully she could guess at when that time was. Also hopefully she wouldn't make her fingertips look even worse than they already did. She was not good at this to begin with, and doing it by the light of a fire that was only sneaking through holes in the collapsed ceiling certainly did not help.

Shiroi soon sensed a chakra signature. Familiar, but she could not quite place it. She should really try to memorize signatures at some point... it was kind of stupid that she ignored them almost all the time.

The voice is what tipped her off. Distorted by the heat and flames, and dampened by the walls, Shiroi could still take a guess that it was Kyousuke.

"Never thought I'd be glad to hear you!" she yelled out.

"Ok listen up, before you get all flustered and white knighty on me, I'M FINE."

She'd wait a moment for a response, but just a moment. This building did not have long.

"Ok look, a ceiling collapse caught me off guard, and I'm 'trapped' in a corner. I can get myself out easily enough, but I've no idea if it'd take the building down under the shifting rubble. So what I need you to do is one of two things. Preferably both. Get everyone out of the building so I can send this place crashing down, or yell out to me when it's about to collapse on it's own so I can get out first. Sound good?"

She certainly hoped he got all that. The flames had gotten a bit louder as she went on, and the heat was getting a tad distracting, so she had stopped focusing on his chakra. She still felt it, but wasn't paying enough attention to where. Better for her to just watch the floor, walls, and collapsed ceiling for signs of a future cave in. The happening of one was imminent, she just needed to know when. Too bad she wasn't an architect or arson detective.

Stop the Fire - C rank Empty Re: Stop the Fire - C rank

White knighty? I don’t get all white… Oh yeah, I do. “Copy that, no white knight style stuff. What is the situation?” The large man would wait for Shiroi to give him a SitRep before, deciding whether he would be able to hold his promise. As the girl spoke Kyousuke would listen to each word over the sound of crackling flame as pieces of wood began to break apart from the intense heat.

“Affirmative.” He would say while unfurling his wings and landing softly onto the floor. There were quite a few creaks, but the floor still seemed to hold. While moving the man would pick up the nearest chakra signature and run towards it. The person in question was down at least one floor and there was likely quite an amount of fire between them.

Falling through a floor would be no problem for Kyousuke, he could fly or just not care about the pain and damage, like an absolute boss. That is one of the reasons he decided to run, besides the fact that there was a time limit. Passing through a doorway, the giant would look for an exit or stairs sign. He could see it past the flickering orange flames of the fire. Between him and the stairs were many planks of fallen burning wood.

Kyousuke would move towards the first in his path and punch through it, splitting the board in half causing it to fall from its diagonal position with both halves landing on the ground. The second board the man would grip in his hands. With the smell of burning cotton Kyousuke could tell his gloves were singed, but he felt no pain from the endeavor. After the second had been moved, Kyousuke would barrel through the rest with his arms in front of his face. With the staircase in sight the man would grab the knob of the metal door and turn. As the door opened a burst of flame rushed through the door to suck up the oxygen in the area. He could smell that a bit of his hair had been burnt, but he was not phased. Walking into the fire, the Jugo could feel the warmth and would jump over the red-hot iron railing and down to the concrete platform below, slowing his momentum near the ground by creating flaps like that of flying squirrel using his protrusions.

With the signature not far off, the jugo would continue to move through the floor until his foot managed to break a floor board and almost sent the ninja toppling over and possibly through the building. This however did not happen as Kyousuke created wings and flapped them hard to pull him the opposite direction. Using the wings to fly the man would head towards the last chakra signature around and find an elderly woman with a faint cough underneath a fallen ceiling tile. Gently picking up the woman the jugo would jump out of the closest opening in the building with the woman.

Flying down to the highest chakra signature on the ground (Kazuhiro), Kyousuke would land and set thewoman down in front of him. “Get this woman to a medic, I’m going back up.” The red-brown skinned man would say giving a thumbs up before jumping into the sky and using his wings to ascend. Once, he was near the female ninja on the outside he would call out. “Okay, shorty everyone is out!” If the building were to fall the ninja was prepared to swoop in turning his feet into talons and fight off falling debris with his fist. That is after crashing through the wall and yelling “Oh Yeah!”

Stop the Fire - C rank Empty Re: Stop the Fire - C rank

Tue Jul 18, 2017 11:00 pm
From the outside he joined in the effort to contain the fire, taking large loads of water to quell the fire from reaching the other areas. His companion at the moment had been helping families find each other, the two working perfectly together to not only minimize damage, but keep people from freaking out. Meanwhile Kazuhiro had been throwing water to and fro, something had caused him to look directly in front of him, his eyes set on the person that had been dropped in front of him and he blinked for a moment," Uh yeah sure gotcha," the young boy taking the woman by the hand and slowly escorting her to a medic where he sat with her for a moment to make sure she had been safe. When she was cleared he smiled and went back to his efforts to contain the fire, his eyes watching the fire and debris to make sure no one had been hit by it.

Though he had been doing a good job of protecting the people, he did notice once everyone had been out and the all clear he had been given, the building began to make a weird noise," I think we should get the people back a bit, the building might be giving out..," and soon it would happen. The building began to dislodge..Oh shit. From the corner of his eyes he slid to the right three meters and held his hands together, his eyes focused on something in particular as he focused his shadow up the length of the building. For some it would look no different until it began to part into a singular hand and three tendrils to cut the debris and hold it in place. Knowing that the hand wouldn't hold for long he quickly rushed it down to the ground and dropped it, his body had been through a little too much in just a few hours so of course he would be tired. The rest would be up to the others as he stepped back and helped pull the people into safety.

Stop the Fire - C rank Empty Re: Stop the Fire - C rank

Shiroi heard the call out. THat was the signal. Time to leave, she thought.

With a stretch of her legs (yes, while still sitting), she prepared herself. Hands upon the wall, feet upon the collapsed roof. PUSH!

And so she did. And so did the entire building creak. The good news was, she now had standing room. Mostly.

She stood up. Now she could push up with her hands. She just needed enough space to jump out. Easy.

So she pushed. And soon, some of the roof shifted. It was enough to jump through. The creaking was almost deafening. This building was going down.

She pushed off, and the building fell. Her angle would cause her to land... somewhere outside the fire. That's all she had aimed for. Hopefully there was a tree or bush or something.

She'd break her fall carefully with a roll, and then head off, having seen the destruction of the building, and noted that the fire had not spread. There was much paperwork to do, but that could wait.

[[If Kyousuke wants to catch Shiroi, she does essentially the same thing but offers him a short thank you. She'll acknowledge any requests he makes or statements. I'll respond again if I consider it worth responding but otherwise this is my exit. Claiming appropriate mission rewards.]]
