Old Pals Reunited! (Private/Kouse)

At the words Kouse spoke, Hikari sighed a breath of relief. Satisfied that Kouse did not believe Sal would fatally maim them, although the idea of other shinobi attacking them on their journey to bring back Salzem troubled her. She didn't quite understand why they would just blatantly attack them, when they were just regular Konohagakure ninja (besides them being from the Uchiha and Hyuuga clans).

He sounded shocked, maybe even a bit offended, by her already made up decision to head to Suna. "I'm sorry, Kouse. It's just, I have to go, or at least try. I need to see him, before he is hunted down for being rogue."

She gratefully handed him back his will, joyed he had agreed to be her companion on their dangerous task to bring back an old friend. Hikari briefly pondered on a question she thought of. How many shinobi face their comrades leaving, abandoning them for greater power or vengeance? Was it a common occurrence in the ninja world, or did it happen rarely and only with special shinobi who were haunted by the events that took place in their lives?

Hikari shook her head, emptying the grim thoughts from her mind as she, along with Kouse, stood and made their way to the Hokage's Chambers. It was up to him if they could leave the village and chase after their teacher, and dear friend. If he said no, Hikari was unsure of what she would do. Become a rogue herself to hunt down Sal, or sit around and wait, hoping she didn't hear any news of him falling dying at the hands of a stronger opponent. What the future held was a mystery to her. But she hoped it was only full of pleasantries, not death, misery, and suffering.

The only thing I can think of would be the first 800 words (where I was training the Lightning Javelin). Would that count as significant training or...? (It's in my first two posts by the way). ^_^
