Training Session (Solo)

Minato stood in his dark apartment looking out the window wondering if he could possibly get his head together long enough to train his body and mind, it had seemed as though in the last few days he had no ability to buckle down and break the power barrier. With a deep sigh he brushed aside his blue bangs and adjusted his glasses whilst turning to the door and leaving the building, making it to the docks with in minutes hoping to use the water there as a basis for the techniques he intended to learn today. Standing on the edge of the dock looking out over the sea before him his mind began to wonder, thinking of a useful technique known as the 'Water Clone Jutsu'.

Standing with his feet planted firm and eyes fixated on the water in front of himself, Minato placed his hands together lacing his ring and little fingers together extending both his index and middle fingers while tucking his thumbs into his palm. The tiger seal was the simplest and though it was usually associated with fire techniques most clone techniques utilized it often as well, so with the seal Minato was on the right path to practicing the jutsu. With chakra building in his belly he began to breathe calmly and attempt to mold his chakra throughout his body like a scanner reading a layout to print, the warmth of the chakra flowing through his every extremity and making a memory based copy. The chakra finished copying his every aspect now ready to be expelled as a water clone in the ocean in front of him, the act of creating the clone beginning as the water began to ripple at the focal point. A single bead of sweat rolling down his face from sheer focus and determination, the ripples becoming more and more agitated with each passing second. It eventually began to appear as though the water was lifting in an undetermined shape only knee high at this point and struggling to stay above water. Minato was beginning to tremble a little as he pushed more and more to control the water with his chakra and focus, the water rising up to waist height now began to swirl together and even squirm on it’s own do to the stress of the jutsu for the first time. The chakra now began to leave his body and pour into the water causing it to gain more stability and even reach its required height leaving only shape left in the development of the jutsu, the water currently a shapeless pillar form now in front of him as it began to thicken and and seemingly look more like a man’s physique though it was far from being a clone of Minato. He was still able to look through the water seeing everything beyond him with ease, prompting Minato to spill more chakra into the water and continue to let the chakra imprint the memory of his body. The base of the water beginning to form into feet covered by boots, leading up to the sleek dark blue dress pants that Minato wore on a regular basis. The remainder of the water now frantically shaking as though the focus below was taking away from the remainder of the water stability, pulling out more chakra from within as it attempted to manifest his torso and shape the white dress shirt and his arms. Although completion of the jutsu was near, the water burst from it’s form and returned to the ocean below. With a huff of exhaustion Minato sat down at the docks edge, sweat dripping off his nose as he calmed down.

After a few minutes of rest on the dock Minato stood and returned his hands to the seal of the tiger, drawing his chakra together once more to copy his every shape and detail. The warmth of the chakra spreading as it traveled through his body, only to be expelled to the water in front of him making ripples as the chakra disturbed the surface. Focusing his chakra with all his might the water was made to rise from the ripples in a cyclone, beginning to form at the boots and solidify as it climbed making the legs and halting at the base of the torso. This time Minato was able to hold the form as he pushed forward and made the water take the form of his torso and arms, the water still a tinted blue transparent figure as he had only the head to form left. His focus perfect now he smirked as he pushed for more chakra and began to form the clones head, the clone was nearly perfect now standing before Minato as he finished sculpting himself in a perfect image. There was something wrong though as the transparent figure stood before him motionless as though a mere image and not a perfect clone, could it be the chakra was unstable and incapable of giving full life to water? The disturbance distracting Minato for a mere second causing the water to once again collapse to the surface of the ocean below. His posture remaining the same he gathered his chakra once more to prepare to create a true and final water clone, the warmth in his body as the chakra rushes through his body for the third time. Confidence began to reign as he felt the power surge grow, the water now rippling at the effects of the chakra rushing to the targeted water. It was almost sudden that the water burst from the surface below swirling in a frenzy the falling back to the ocean below leaving behind completion, a mirror image standing before him. The long blue hair, the spectacles resting on the bridge of the nose, the long light blue trench coat and tie, right down to the dark blue boots he wore. Minato offered his right hand to the clone in hopes of movement and response from the clone, to which he received a handshake and a congratulations from the clone before he released the jutsu and decided to go home and rest after exhausting his energy for the day.
