Kira kept her position leaning against the wall close to the door. She watched as the man made her way inside, her mind buzzing with the events that recently transpired. It seemed the two both had a lot running through their mind. Once tasked tasked with the responsibility to herself to spend her days getting plastered was now going to be days restricting the village’s economy. She could almost predict that her responsibilities wouldn’t stop there. It felt like it would only be the beginning of a long treacherous journey. She felt somewhat inspired sure, but there was also a fear lingering in her throat that she wouldn’t be able to live up to the task ahead. That’d she’d crumble under the pressure of all the defeats she’s already had.

She snapped out of her daze the moment Kutari begun to speak once more. Her eyes narrowed only slightly as new information was unraveled of a secret organization; one that the man worked for. It almost surprised the girl that he was working alongside others. He seemed like such a loner. He warned her to be ready for their return, only adding to the slight pressure the girl already felt. She kept it hidden well, granted, but that only fed the anxiety that was building in the pit of her stomach. She hadn’t felt such a feeling since the day she walked down the deep corridors that rested below suna with the Kazekage and Salzem, as she stood helpless as Koroshi locked him and the boy within a room; hearing the sounds as he pummeled him close to death.

“I’ll make sure to keep the bed warm for you until you return.” She winked at him, a subtle smile creeping on her lips as he closed the door. The smile would fade into one of slight sorrow. She let out a deep sigh before marching her way back down to the streets of Kumo. She needed a drink.
