Resuming Negotiations

The glorious luminescence of sunset winked out as the sun sank below the horizon of Hoshigakure. While Kozai didn't feel like settling down here, he was also well-adjusted enough to realize that his feelings, what few there were, didn't really matter in the face of necessity. It seemed that while he had been gone, many of the people he had known in this village had disappeared. In that case, it was about time he got himself reacquainted with the leadership here. After all, despite his current status, he was still the administrator of one of the village's most important buildings, and as such, he needed to work out new terms with a new leader.

To that effect, the man headed over to the kage office and submitted a request for an audience to the kage there. With some amusement, he remembered the meetings he'd had with various kages in the past. He'd gone through a process just like this with that River and Echo in Iwa, although his meeting with the leadership of Hoshigakure had been somewhat more unconventional. Hopefully, this time around, he'd be able to get what he needed somewhat more quietly. It wouldn't pay to cause a commotion like he had the last time around.

He excused himself briefly to take a "bathroom break", although this was more or less merely a pretext. When he was alone, he simply slipped out a package and implanted one of the organs there into himself, knowing that the time was drawing near now when he would need its power. He'd been apprehensive before, since Echo had warned him against chasing this sort of thing specifically, but he had no time for reservations now. In his weakened state, he needed to cast aside his aspersions and press forward. Emerging from the room, he returned to his seat and awaited the kage.

Jakosaki, who was the gate-guard and the keeper of Hoshigakure was outside the office. He noticed a figure who entered the office  and saluted towards Kozai. Jakosaki spoke up in a tone of composure. " The Hogokage will be here shortly."  He recognizes who he was, but he presumably thought he was another shinobi who was looking for a way out. But that wasn't his duty as gate-keeper so he waited until the kage came. Yasaki who was busy working on a routine trying to work on two things, as he appeared in a flash. He had his kage hat on and noticed someone takes a seat at his office.

The six feet nine giant entered his office whilst taking a seat facing towards him.It was comfy for him as he placed his hat on the desk.  He placed both of his massive hands on the table. He inspected him up and down watching him sharply as he would. He continued, sighing a little as he proceeded. "how may I help you today?" He stayed composed the whole situation as he waited upon a reply. 


Jakosaki (NPC)

Kozai watched as the taller man made an appearance. Since he was within the village that he had lived in securely for months now, he figured scanning the area around him didn't make much sense, but the information still poured in. His control over the input from the atmosphere was always there, ready for him to pull on at any time. However, Kozai didn't bother over-analyzing the situation like he would've done years ago.  At the moment, he was here for business and discussion. Business first, of course, discussion afterward. He didn't want to make too many assumptions about this new kage, but given that he hadn't noticed anyone within the area that he knew from before, it was wise to remain on his guard.

Considering how quickly he'd been able to get in, it was obvious that they knew who he was. This was more than a little distasteful. He wasn't a humble man, but in his absence, they'd erected images of him and named the whole library after him. Annoying, yes, but also a little awkward now that he had returned. At any rate, it would be better to start now.

"I'm here to re-negotiate the terms of my residence and of the library." No embellishments, just straightforward and brusque. "After all, new leadership, new terms." He needed to get his foot in the door before the church found out that he had come back and began spreading poison about him again. "One of your former leaders invited me to stay here, and allowed me to found the archives, and I'd like both of these conditions to remain as they are, with the exception that I'll formerly join Hoshigakure, if that makes it easier. After all, we can't give the... fanatics in the village any room to work with, now can we?"

Sure, approved.

He eyed Kozai as he spoke listening to every word that was being stated. The man who established the hoshigakure library which was named after himself. But Yasaki was eager to know why he suddenly appeared at his office. He continued to stare at him as he would nod to what they stated. The offer was unbelievable something that Yasaki couldn't deny but went with it. He would make some hand gestures with both hands, sighing and taking note as he would wait until he finished his speech. Yasaki then said in a calm tone to kozai.

"I accept your offer for your library though it will be the same name as always and no change will occur." He took a pause and continued. " New terms say what are you looking for exactly? He questioned kozai as he waited for a second, sighing. 
"The archives are only to those who are special to hoshigakure." He would offer his right hand to shake his. "I welcome you back to hoshigakure though I agree we can can defintaly work something out for this village."

Kozai frowned, considering the man's words. So the good portion of the archives had been locked off for a reason? This was a development that he'd considered, but hoped hadn't been true. He'd certainly have to figure out more. It was also rather curious that they wanted to keep the archives' nomenclature, but that wasn't particularly relevant. While he wasn't quite sure whether this guy was the one who had sealed the library, he guessed that he'd find out soon enough. He extended his own hand and met the other man with a firm handshake.

"Splendid." He continued, not feeling quite as splendid. "However, the library was founded with the intent that knowledge should be free for everyone, at least those here in Hoshi. Might I ask what you mean by 'special'?" There were quite a few more questions that he needed to ask, but this was the one most prominent in his mind. Indeed, it was true that he'd made the archives so that everyone in the village would have access to materials that the church here would normally have forbidden. If the shinobi leadership had also taken to restrict the knowledge, that could mean a variety of bad outcomes had come to pass.

He let his hand go as he would place both on the table. Yasaki felt he was becoming a little frustrated, but he accepted whatever was happening as he nodded his head. He listened to what Kozai stated and understood to what was being said. "What I meant was a part of the library has been locked off and only a few techniques that are not open to the public due to them being classified for reasons of natural security and the only individual who can unlock them is Hikari Namikaze. Sadly, she isn't around but will be back soon enough as she is recovering from injuries Which is why I meant special cause only those who are looked upon to the villages highest can be able to do so."

Yasaki paused as he proceeded. "Though you are free to use the current library and it's open to all for those who are in Hoshigakure."

It was evident at this point that the kage wasn't too eager to talk about whoever this Hikari Namikaze really was, nor, or so it seemed, did he really want to talk further about opening the library to the public, as he had originally intended. In the past, Kozai would have decided this issue with the best method: authority of fist, sharpened steel, and force. However, considering what his goals were at the moment, he decided against that course of action. Patience would win him the day, not violence. So, he suppressed his cold rage and continued smoothly onward.

"Of course I can. After all, it's my library." He waved his hand dismissively and surged onward to the next point. There'd be much for him to investigate after this conversation had ended. "At any rate, I want to establish a tie between myself and the village, which is to say, I've lived here for too long without any official bond. From this moment forward, I'm a shinobi of the village." He'd posit this matter of factly, as if it were something already determined, which it more or less was. "As such, I'm looking for a member of a specific clan within this village; an Uchiha as a matter of fact. There are several bits of knowledge that I need to confirm so that I can commit the information to writing within the archives." He decided to skip the intricacies and get to the point, more or less. "I intend for this information to be available to the public. Shinobi of the past tried to keep these secrets hidden from inquiring minds, and I don't stand for that."

He remembered Echo's expression and his voice as he advised Kozai to avoid the synergy of bloodlines all those years ago. He also remembered the sheer power and experience that Denkiteki had brought to bear on him years later. Most of all, he remembered those strange beings with their own space-time that he'd met briefly in Amegakure. Nobody should have to spend this long searching for the truth, and he'd bring about a future where this was possible.

Yasaki let out a smirk as he glared at Kozai. He would sigh, inserting his right hand at his face. It was his library, and now there would not be any rejections for it. He nodded his head to Kozai when he stated that he was going to be part of this village, but he would reply in a gentle tone. " You are part of this village and that's that. At the same time we will restore your library to its normal states for everyone to use." Was his words as he would allow both of his hands crossed on the table inspecting Kozai.

Yasaki was an uchiha and what was Kozai looking for an uchiha. He didn't know what to say but let himself be his moderate and observed to what he said. He grinned and shook his head whilst eyeing him up and down.  "Uchiha.. you say?" he would ask whilst his tone would squeak a little as he would continue. " What's this knowledge you speak of?" It made little sense to Yasaki to why he was looking for one, though he was actually a born blood uchiha. It was about a library now, uchiha's something didn't add up to Yasaki.
