Chuunin Exams: Hato vs Masashi

Stats:

This chunin exam has gone long enough, people were excited for the turn outs for this years chunin. Nero and Hayate would both be leveling up for sure. Hato and Masashi would have to battle it out to see who would get third place.

Hato was content with how these were playing out. She had made it to finals and still had the chance to become chunin. However, she also got to see all the other contestants fought. At least the ones that she fought. To say it was interesting would be an understatement.

The vampire entered the arena, the same way she did the first three round. She'd enter, swaying her hips and head up the stairs and go head to the center of the stage. The crowd cheered for them, calling out each of their names. Hato would blow a kiss to the adoring crowd.

Hato's attire would still be the same as she planned before they even left for the chunin exams. It was black button up shirt that had a collar attached to it. The buttons only went to her upper breast. Then her black fingerless gloves that allowed her to bare her claws. Below the button up shirt was some black short-shorts that were not only if she needed them to gain advantage, but also to maneuver around the field with little restrain from the clothes she wore. Then came her black heeled boots that went a little above the shin. Finally, she attached her whip to her right side and then weapon pouch just above the black boots on the left side and right side. The weapon pouch on her left held her 5 shuriken, 5 kunai and the one on her right held her 2 smoke bombs, 3 pumpkin bombs, and two explosive tags.

If Masashi entered and headed towards the center the same way she did, Hato call out to Masashi. "It's been fun, but I think I'm ready to be done with these exams." She exclaimed. It was mockingly cocky, she wouldn't dare be actually foolish as to underestimate Masashi. Sadly, she didn't to see much of his fighting technique. The only info she had on him was that his chakra levels were the same as hers when she used Mind's eye of Kaguya.

Masashi's Stats:

This would be the final fight for Masashi in this tournament. The winner would be promoted to Chuunin, the loser would not. The last fight had been a disaster if there ever was one, and Masashi was not planning to make a repeat performance of that last fiasco. Masashi wanted to do his village proud, so he would give his utmost in this upcoming contest.

Walking into the arena, he could see his opponent already waiting. He stopped at the halfway point between his entrance and the center of the arena. The girl that was fighting with him in the previous fight had fully recovered, which was a good thing. She was likewise standing halfway between where she had walked in and the center of the arena. He was not confident in her skills, based on the previous fight, not that he was one to talk. As this was an all or nothing fight, he would give his all with no hesitation. Hato made a comment about wanting to be done with the exams. Masashi couldn't help but agree with the sentiment. He wanted to return home as much as anyone else, having seen his fill of the Hidden Leaf Village. He nods to Hato before saying "I couldn't agree more. Fight well." Immediately after that he would draw a half-dozen clay spheres out of one of his pouches with one hand, and 4 shuriken with the other from his other pouch. The Shuriken would be thrown first; two directly at Hato, and one aimed to either side. All four were at torso height, and aimed to prevent evasion to either side. The clay he held and would then throw individually based on how she moved to dodge the initial assault.

They had both said their word and now it was the time to let their actions speak for them.They were 20 meters from each other like in the first round.  Masashi was the first one to go for an attack. As soon as Masashi went for his weapon pouch, Hato would do the same. She reached in her left pouch with her left hand and grabbed two kunai while her hand was in the bag. Once he drew the shuriken, she would draw the two kunai. She was able to throw them faster than she could, but this allowed her to aim the kunai in the right spot. She threw the kunais, at a sped of 105, right at the other two shuriken at were aimed at her body since the other two weren't going to hit her. Once the kunai and shuriken interacted 10 meters, the kunai would split them in two, having a superior sharpness and power behind the throw. They would continue onward, towards Masashi. If they were to hit him, one would be towards his upper right side, and the other would be aimed for a lower left side of his torso, both in none fatal spots.

But Hato was about to make that her only attack. Right after throwing the two kunai, she would weave the ram hand sign. This would surround Masashi in a dense fog instantly after she weaved the sign. If struck, Masashi wouldn't be able to see his own hands it was so dense. This was her genjutsu, she needed as much time as she could get, so she didn't care if he could get out of the genjutsu. Even then she wasn't done, she weaved the tiger hand sign right after weaving the ram hand sign. A mist poured from her mouth and surrounded the 50 meter radius at 130 speed.

OCC:

Hato after weaved her hand signs for both jutsus, she realized that her genjutsu was out of range. Luckily, her hidden mist was still in effect. Once, not being able to see Masa, she would activate mind's eye. With the chakra sensory of mind's eye, she would be able to follow his movements. She noticed that he was moving to the right and then back. Maybe she could install the illusion that she was gone. She moved forward and left as he moved to the right at her top speed and continued at a 45 degree angle. Moving along with the mist. The clay balls were half way through her travel when she had moved 2 meters, so when they reached her original spot, she was 4 meters away. But she was unaware.

Hato would noticed that he was trying to escape the mist, so she followed at full speed. Her movements covered by the mist. Masashi would exit the center ring and go down a level. She knew that he wouldn't be able to see her from that level down as she had been down there before. She body flickered to the edge of where Masashi was chilling and fire her poison mist off the edge and towards Masashi. The center of the mist would be at Masashi so that the mist would spread around the location.

OCC:

Masashi was an arm’s length away from the cliff and caught sight of Hato’s Poison mist as it had started to emerge from the mist because he had been constantly looking at the upper level’s edge, waiting for a hint. Based on how small the cone was when he first spotted it, he could safely assume that his opponent was standing right at the edge of the upper tier, just inside the mist to make it impossible for Masashi to see her. He didn’t need to see her though. He knew how the Poison Mist technique worked and would use that knowledge to full effect. The cone had barely expanded to a meter before Masashi’s first Kunai would be thrown. It wouldn’t be aimed at the point of the mist’s origin; that would be a kill shot. The kunai was aimed to hit the 6 inches below the origin point of the cone, and a few inches to Masashi’s left. Unless Hato was able to react to it, the kunai would punch through the right side of her chest. Because of the speed difference between the two attacks, Masashi could wait for the kunai to enter the mist at the top of the area before moving 11 meters to his left, completely avoiding the deadly gas cloud. Hopefully the kunai would do its job. He would pull out a replacement kunai, so that he would have a kunai in each hand again, getting ready in case his attack was not effective.

Kunai (Speed: 107, Health: 50, Sharpness, 83)

After the mist was escaped her mouth, Hato would reach into her left weapon pouch for a Pumpkin bomb as well as moving to the left 5 meters, just in case that Masashi would try to escape. She noticed his movements, he was attempting to move out of posion mist's range, that's when she would launch her pumpkin bomb over the railing that was in front of her chest and at an angle. The cloud of purple mist would cover the path of the bomb most of the way. This would allow the bomb be 5 meters away, above him and ahead of him, from Masashi when he was 10 meters in his travel.  The blast radius was 7.5 meters, meaning the blast would reach 2.5 meter at him. The scream that was presented was deafening. If hit, it wouldn't be fatal as the blast raidus would only possiby burn the front half of his body. That's when she could come down and save him with medical ninjutsu. It would also launch him backwards into the mist due to the force of the blast and knock him unconscious.

As for the kunai, luckily she would avoid getting hit by it because of her movement. Hato was fortunate that she moved to get into his running range.

After the bomb was thrown, She would slide under the railing and disappear into her mist. After harmlessly landing into the mist, she would just take off her whip from her belt.

OCC:

The mist obscuring Hato had disappeared as quickly as it had arrived, giving her position away even as she dodged his kunai, moving away from him. The purple poison she’d exhaled moved slowly towards him, but it had not obscured his vision in the way she likely would have hoped. ‘Now that I can see her, it’s time to stop playing around.’ Masashi thought to himself. As he had not moved away from his starting position yet, he activated his Legacy of the Uzumaki and rushed up the side of the arena, using Surface walking to run up the wall at his max speed. He moved out of the way enough so that he didn’t come in contact with the mist, but because of how slowly it expanded, he didn’t need to move that far. While she was moving, she’d pulled something out of a weapon pouch while she had started moving. Masashi wouldn’t give her the chance to use it. He would run at her as fast as he could and, using the kunai he was holding, slash the muscles and tendons in the arm holding the object before doing the same to the leg on the same side. He would then spin around behind Hato and do the same to her other side, effectively immobilising her. The object she was holding, a pumpkin, would roll off the edge of the arena and detonate on the level below, injuring neither fighter. ‘That should put an end to the fight.’ Masashi thought to himself, but just to make sure, he would rap her in the temple with the hilt of his Kunai, just hard enough to knock her out. From there he would take a few steps back and wait for the medical team to take her away for treatment.

Due to the fact that it is not stated in the jutsu that i have to hold out the exhale to. I would also like to point out that I didn't say after the exhale was complete, I said as soon as the mist escaped my mouth
