Name: Charon's Claw
Appearance:   The Large sword resmbles a chinese Butterfly sword with a hefty jeweled cross guard.  The blade is close to 23" (roughly 60 cm) with a 16" handle and cross guard.  The blade is black with large channels crafted into the blade that guide the blood spilled down to the handle.  The blade is curved forward similar to a shotel.  Within the cross guard is a 4 meter razor and spike chain which can be released from a trigger in the handle.


Backstory:   This blade was once used by one of the obscure 7 swordsman of the mist in more ancient days, after its original owner passed it was lost.  Eventually recovered by the cult of Jashin who modified it to be an ideal weapon for performance of the Rituals. Known as the Vampiric blade this sword drains its user of chakra and forces its wielder into a symbiotic bond, and craves both blood and energy.  Given to Draego when he was a successful candidate the blade attuned itself to him.  It is said that the bearer of this blade carries with him the sins of mankind and will meet misfortune wherever he/ she goes.
Health: 100 (both chain and weapon)
Sharpness: 100 (for both chain and blade)
Special Abilities:
Chained Blade-  The blade is on a chain connecting it from the tail of the blade to the handle, they are connected naturally through its original crafting, and the chain is made of a metal highly reactive to chakra.  The blade and chain can be detached by a trigger on the handle, however bu channeling trace amounts of ap the chain can be ordered to extend or return out to its max distance or back to sword form (at a speed of 70).  This will cost 50 ap and 25 upkeep until the blade is at a home locked position, then 50 to activate again


Vampiric Sentience-  The blade can eject long protrusions growing out to 1 meter long from the crosspiece and handle rendering the users hand unusable for the length of activation (or longer without proper healing)  while in this form it taps into the users chakra channels and can control itself on its own.  The chain still moves at 70 speed but can now change directions.  The spines have 100 sharpness and 100 health this costs 50 ap to activate and drains 25 while active. ( so 100 to activate ability 1 and 2 with 50 upkeep)

Symbiotic Parasite-  The blade lives off of its wielder, integrating itself into its user and lives off its chakra.  It does this by combining itself into the users bloodstream and becoming a living metal inside the user.  As long as Charon's Claw is combined with its user it drains 5 ap per post.  This is the drain it takes upon the user in order for the blade to sustain itself.  Additionally, while it is combined it drains life force making the wielder weaker decreasing the users health by 10 for as long as it remains combined with him.  The advantages to doing this are that the blade remains hidden inside the wielder often making the wielder appear unarmed.  As well the living metal shards functions as a fast healing sewing up any injuries done to the user giving a DR of 30.  If an attack is taken using up the DR it will take time for the Claw to be able to start healing again, one post cooldown anytime all 30 DR is used and requires 25 ap spent to come back online.  At any point the user can spend 75 ap to cause the blade to violently erupt from any point in his body transforming his blood into the blade, occuring at the user's RT.  The blade must be fully formed before it gains sharpness limiting the usage of the eruption as an attack.  The DR is canceled but so is the health loss and ap drain.  This injury is healed instantly, allowing full function in the spot where the blade is erupted from.  Typically a hand but not limited to that, it can come out either blade first or handle first.

Ok let's see here.

Ability 1: This is basically an attack on top of being a "form change" of sorts; so let's get some attack limitations in there: namely AP cost (seeing as the speed is 70, this would be 50) and a cooldown (given this can be short).

Ability 2: Even though only against DR, this is too strong to be passive. Again, duration, CD and AP please. Also i think the part "Slicing past jutsu,armor and healing techs to try and draw blood." confuses more than clarifying. Please either rephrase, clarify or remove this part.

Ability 3: Okay. How is a 5x20 wall "sharp". This would probably be power, and either way "equal to sharpness" is too strong for a 5x20 projectile. The AP drain on top of it all makes it OP.

If a weapon ability is going to be chakra-based while hitting S-Rank levels, it is going to require Ninjutsu Spec and/or Chakra over 50; similar to how sometimes S/T or Fuiinjutsu Specs are required for abilities of similar power.

I'm also going to ask for you to justify the "Ash" draining AP.


As with all other things, you're always welcome to a second opinion on any of these points.

alright will clarify all in both a response to you as well as with an edit.

Ability 1. This literally is neither a form change, i can add ap for the chain to go 70 or i can make the activation mechanical and have it break from the wench at my swing speed, using a trigger to brake.  harder to use, much deadlier.

Ability 2. Changing completely

Ability 3. adding clarity to the effect as well as a pic for clarity.  the wall does nothing but obscure vision and take ap, which it doesnt even give back to the user.  I cannot fathom how this is OP


Lastly it is not a KKG or anything else, there are weapons that abuse many different forms of elemental abilities without requiring nin and armor that absorbs chakra blasts that dont require fuin to use.  Thats simply because being able to use the weapon and understanding how to make it work are not the same.  If this is going to be a blanket and you are prepared to make every weapon ability that slightly touches on nin or fuin like abilities, (like tattoos that boost speed) start requiring the spec i am ok with that.  Otherwise, i will not be requiring those specialties.

Can you clarify that if someone walks out and into the ash multiple times, they don't get drained every time? 

Also clarify, since the attack has sharpness quality and doesn't burn; that it doesn't deal damage once it

the ash has nothing to do with sarutobi ash, it is the chosen format simply because it is all i could think of that would create an opague wall that coould potentially stay in one location for a post. i upped the ap cost to 75. That is why its ash.  The health is 0 so it doesn't need mentioned. And yes clarified the drain.  If you can think of anything that would create an opague wall that i can hide behind that also looks cool coming out of a black sword ill switch to that

I'd prefer a capped speed that isn't RT. The injury can heal at RT but I don't like the word "instantly" for anything.



Give me honorable enemies rather than ambitious ones, and I'll sleep more easily by night.
