Aiming High (Private/Training) Empty Aiming High (Private/Training)

Mon Feb 26, 2018 7:15 am
Thunder roared and lightning struck as the clear autumn rains descended upon the Hidden Cloud in a light drizzle. One particular Academy Student, his red hair and fair skin wet beneath the spray, leapt from treetop to treetop in one of the many forested mountainsides that rose up into the clouds to constitute the Hidden Village. Eventually, he found himself at his desired location:

Training Ground 33 was a clearing in the high, cloudy mountains, where Uzumaki Haruto often came to train whenever he was not at the Academy. His Academy Student days were almost coming to an end, and soon the Genin Exam would be upon him. Therefore, he felt it imperative to master the two necessary techniques, and grow proficient in their usage, as soon as possible.

Sitting on his knees on the wet, rainy ground for a few moments, the Academy Student rested, letting the light drizzling rains caress his young, flawless skin. There were few things in the Ninja World that brought Haruto as much ethereal peace as rain - the soothing winds, the coolness of the water... Haruto felt himself lucky to be born in the Hidden Cloud Village, for clouds begot rain.

After resting properly and finding a calm center, Haruto hopped onto his feet. Removing two small scrolls from his jacket's pockets, the redhead opened one of them and placed it on the ground underneath the shade of a tree in order to prevent it from getting wet in rain. It contained the instructions for the first technique he needed to practice, which would become his very first jutsu: the Bunshin no Jutsu.

Haruto memorised the necessary hand seals, placing his fingers first in the Ram, then in the Snake, and then ending with the Tiger seal. Closing his eyes, he felt his chakra, the natural blend of physical and mental energies circulating through his Chakra Circulatory System, and ready to come out from Tenketsu points located throughout his body.

Eyes cinched together, Haruto saw in his mind's eyes his chakra as a bluish sort of energy taking various shapes and increasing in potency with each hand seal he made, as he flashed through each of them repeatedly. Finally, the Redhead focused and willed the chakra to exit his body.

There was a poof of smoke, and Haruto fell back on his butt in the wet grass, coughing. There were no clones in sight.

"Danggit!"

Shaking his head, the Redhead once again got back onto his feet, sparing a glance at the Scroll in order to fix what he had missed in that attempt. Apparently, he hadn't concentrated enough on moulding the chakra and giving it his own shape. Taking in a deep breath and mini-meditating again, the Uzumaki flashed through the three hand seals one by one, slowly, feeling each fluctuation in his chakra, before letting it exit his tenketsu while strongly imagining himself, so that under the influence of his mental energy, the chakra would take his own form.

Poof.

The smoke cleared to display another Haruto, with eyes just as blue, and clothes just as brown. With one problem, however:

The Haruto Clone had no hair, he was bald.

"Dattebare," Haruto grunted softly, his verbal tic showing his annoyance at himself, as he placed his hand on his face and the mildly defective clone poofed out of existence. Well, at least he had the principle down now. It would only take a little more practice before he could make the perfect clone.

Flashing through another set of hand seals, Haruto poured more chakra into it this time, paying attention to his entire form, including the entirely unmissable mop of red hair on his head. "Bunshin no Jutsu," the cerulean-eyed teen muttered calmly, and in another poof, a completely perfect replica of himself stood before him.

"Alright," the Redhead cheered softly, high-fiving his newly-made Clone, only for his hand to phase right through the illusionary doppelganger, but that only made the Uzumaki grin, as thunder again roared and lightning struck, almost seeming to congratulate him.

After practicing the Bunshin no Jutsu for the next few hours, Haruto had decided to take a small nap and recover his chakra. The day was still young, and he was not expected to return home til sundown, and there was something extremely irresistible about sleeping in the light rain.

In any case, after half an hour Haruto was awake and alert, his back against a tree as the rain continued to fall. He was thoroughly engrossed in studying the second of the two scrolls he had brought with himself. The next technique he had to learn was the Transformation Technique, and needless to say this one seemed to be difficult one in both theory and practice, for it required continuous emission of chakra and indefinite maintenance in that state. That was something which Haruto had not yet attempted before.

In any case, soon enough, the boy began to turn theory into practice. He stood up and left the shade of the tree, walking into the middle of the wet clearing, his clothes and ninja sandals soaking in the rain. Closing his eyes and focusing, the Redhead meditated upon the chakra within him, feeling its flow and power. He then performed each of the three hand seals he had memorised from the scroll on the Henge he had obtained from the Academy, one by one. As with the Clone Technique he had learnt earlier that day, the red-haired Uzumaki could feel the chakra moulding and transforming within him, growing both stronger with each hand seal and yet easy to control.

Lightning preceded thunder, as Haruto ended upon the last hand seal - the Ram, in this case. Then he inhaled deeply, before exhaling sharply.

As he felt the rising surge of chakra, the Redhead imagined himself as a tall, brown-haired man that otherwise resembled him in looks and in the blueness of his eyes. It was how he imagined his grandfather, Takashi the Aoi Kiba, would have looked like when he was young and in his prime. Haruto felt a sudden headache come on as he did so, but this time he maintained his concentration without error. This was because, in performance principles, the Transformation Technique was simply the Clone Technique in reverse - in the latter, he had to concentrate his mental energy upon an image away from his body, whereas in the former, he had to do so upon his own body.

"Henge no Jutsu!"

Poof.

The smoke faded to reveal none other than an almost exact replica of a young Takashi, Kumo's Blue Fang and one of the village's most famous legends in recent history, complete with his Jounin vest and the characteristic blade of grass in his mouth.

Except... while the upper half Haruto had gotten down perfectly, the lower one was still his own. Thus, any on-looker would have been treated to the strange sight of a creature with a man's torso on a boy's legs.

"Oh man-ttebare!" 'Takashi' scoffed, before poofing back into his future grandson, Uzumaki Haruto.

The Academy Student ran a hand through his soft-toned red hair, wondering where he had gone wrong. A few seconds of reflection and he snapped his fingers as it occurred to him. "I imagined a picture of Grandpa, but that picture only showed his upper half, that's why-ttebare!"

Chest rose and fell as he inhaled and exhaled again, before once again flashing through each of the three hand seals. This time, he imagined a person he had seen often fully, and in-person. His mother. He pictured in his mind her flowing brown hair, her eyes as cerulean as his own, and her lemon green dress. He felt another headache as the strain of the technique got to him, the chakra exiting from all his tenketsu simultaneously and surrounding him in a plume of smoke as he moved through each of the seals. The first seal was Dog, the last seal was Ram.

"Henge no Jutsu!"

Poof.

And when the smoke cleared, a perfect replica of Sakura, Haruto's mother, stood in the clearing dubbed Training Ground 33.

"Alrig-- eh?" his voice was still his own. Haruto closed his eyes and concentrated chakra in his vocal cords and imagined his mother's voice to perfect the Henge.

"Alright!" he cheered, this time in her voice.

The Transformation vanished, and Haruto fell on his back in the clearing, the rain continuing to fall on his face as he drifted off to sleep, exhausted from the day's training.

Aiming High (Private/Training) Empty Re: Aiming High (Private/Training)

Thu Mar 01, 2018 12:45 pm
The next day, it was still cloudy and the cool winds caressed Haruto's face and blew back the red locks that formed his hair, but today was not a particularly rainy day like yesterday. The young Uzumaki stood at the Training Grounds, and flashed through hand seals one after the other, first producing three Clones, and then dissipating them before transforming himself into his Academy Instructor.

With two techniques down, the Redhead opened the Scroll to amass the third. The one known simply as the 'Rope Escape Technique', was no doubt a simple but extremely useful tool for any shinobi to learn. It would be difficult to learn this jutsu on his own, but Haruto figured that if he could escape an arm, he could escape his entire person.

For this reason, his left arm was now entirely wrapped in ninja wire as a part of his doing, and he had tied that ninja wire using his free hand to one of the trees. Thus, Haruto was now stuck to the tree by his left arm. Closing his eyes, Haruto went into as deep a meditative state as he could. He found his calm center, and felt his chakra bubbling within him, circulating through his chakra pathways and potent at each of his tenketsu points.

Haruto focused on tenketsu points along his arms, especially those along his left arm, which were now underneath the ninja wire. He thought, at that point, that this jutsu was simultaneously easy and diffficult to perform. Easy, because in principle it was simple: he had to just release a burst of chakra from a few of his tenketsu points that were in contact with the rope, yet difficult at the same time as the lack of hand seals made it difficult to focus one's chakra.

The Grandson of the Blue Fang tried to focus his chakra without the use of hand seals. Feeling it flowing within him, he utilised as much mental energy as he could and, perceiving his chakra as a river, began to direct its currents towards his arm. A pearly drop of sweat strolled down the right side of his forehead as even that minuscule effort took its mental toll on the, still quite young, Academy Student.

He sighed and opened his eyes. "Not like this, it's too difficult-ttebare," he murmured to himself, softly, placing his free hand on his chin. His intelligent mind began to calculate a solution to his predicament.

The Redhead took in a deep breath, as a gust of cool wind ruffled his hair, and then he made a single hand seal to just increase the chakra perfusion of his left arm. In time, he would perfect the technique by foregoing the use of the hand seal, but for now he would have to make due.

'Rope Escape Jutsu!' Haruto thought the phrase, meaning 'release!', instead of saying it out aloud merely as an attempt to increase his focus, despite it being not necessary for this jutsu. He felt the chakra in his tied arm inflate, before gushing out of that arm's tenketsu like the spray that came out of the head of a whale, or the steam that released itself from a pressure cooker.

The ninja wire literally split itself open, loosening from his arm and the tree, and falling to the ground soundlessly in a heap.

Haruto pulled back his arm and gave a soft, triumphant smile, his mood elating, a sense of euphoria filling his chest. "Haha, I did it-ttebare!" he cheered.

The Academy Student then spread his arms wide, before back flipping onto his hands and then pushing himself off of his hands, reverse somersaulting again to land in a crouch in the clearing. He panted, before he fell onto the ground on all fours - up, down, up, down, up, down... and in a matter of moments he had completed fifty push-ups, in order to increase his muscle mass and stamina. Then he rolled onto his back, rested for a few minutes, before getting up again and beginning to do sit ups: up, down, up, down, up, down...

The Uzumaki rested for a few minutes after that, drinking water from a bottle his mother had given to take with him. While he could not see the Sun from the Cloud filled sky, the darkening of the clouds told him that a considerable amount of time had past. Haruto leapt onto one of the trees, before jumping from that tree to the next, sprinting around the clearing from tree to tree in circles in order to work out for speed.

A few hours of exercise, more jutsu practice and rest later, and Uzumaki Haruto felt he was ready for the upcoming Genin Exams.

Aiming High (Private/Training) Empty Re: Aiming High (Private/Training)

Sun Mar 04, 2018 1:09 pm
Kumogakure no Sato, or the Village Hidden the Clouds, was the home of one Uzumaki Haruto. It was where he was born, and where his parents had been born, it was one the greatest ninja villages in existence. It had been around for epochs now, from the Warring Clans era itself, and no Hidden Village could probably boast of that fact, of not being bested for hundreds of years since its inception, except Konohagakure no Sato. Haruto knew, that he was willing to die to defend his home village.

The Son of the Eddies considered it both his honour and his responsibility. Within this very Cloud Village, he had dreamed of bringing life to the once-vibrant Uzumaki clan through serving Kumo and rising to prominence within her ranks. He had dreamed of mastering the ancient arts of the Uzumaki, those he had inherited from his forefathers, while causing the Uzumaki to be established and acknowledged within Kumogakure as they had, eons ago, been acknowledged within Uzushiogakure no Sato.

Once again it was raining, lightning striking across the skies only to be followed by thunder, as Haruto Uzumaki stared at his reflection in one of the many muddy pools that were birthed by the thunderstorm in Training Ground Thirty Three. The Kumo headband, that image representing clouds, made him smile in pride. The sense of accomplishment that came with the first achievement he had ever truly acquired in his life was something that could not be described in words. He had gotten his headband, the first step to becoming a great ninja and doing his ancestors proud.

The Child of the Eddies was now an official shinobi of the Clouds.

But that had only been the first step: time for the next ones. There was no telling what his life would hold next, and no telling how strong his team-mates already were. Being near-Rookie of the Year level as an Academy Student was one thing, but Genin was an exponentially greater rank compared to Academy Student. He knew there were Genin alive who had assassinated Kage.

To that end, Haruto, who had not yet been assigned to any team or any mission, was going to train his butt off, and get as strong as he possibly could. He would not be the one who held his entire team back because of his own weakness. That was unacceptable.

As a Genin, the Redheaded Uzumaki had access to parts of the Library that had previously been restricted, and he had gone in and issued as many Jutsu Scrolls as he could. He had already tested his elemental affinity on chakra paper during his Academy Days, and he had found out, like many of the people in Kumo, his natural affinity was Raiton, or Lightning Release, the Way of the Cold-blooded Fire. It was only fitting, it seemed, for Haruto had always found a strange, ethereal solace in lightning and rain, which were both all too common in the Village Hidden in the Clouds.

Thus, as he sat perched on a branch of his favourite Training Ground 33, the upper branches providing shade against the falling rain, Haruto sat studying the small Scroll in his hand. This would be his first elemental jutsu, and rather his first offensive jutsu. Perhaps he was jumping on ahead of himself, but Haruto knew he needed such powerful techniques if he wanted to progress as a shinobi.

The Raiton: Jibashi, or Lightning Release: Electromagnetic Murder, as it was rather horrifically named, seemed simple in principle. All Haruto had to do was to convert his chakra into its natural elemental affinity and then release it in the form of a wide arc of lightning bolts, or a wave of electricity. Simple, yet elegant and, as its named suggested, quite powerful and deadly.

Rolling the Scroll back and placing it in his pocket, Haruto leapt off the tree branch into the rain-drenched open clearing that constituted Training Ground Thirty Three. He had already memorised the hand seals laid out in the Scroll of the technique he intended to master. Now, he had to begin, but first, he had to master the art of converting his chakra into lightning in the first place. It would not take long, considering it was his natural affinity. There was a crumpled up chakra paper somewhere bearing testimony to that fact.

Haruto inhaled, and then exhaled, before performing each of the four hand seals, slowly. Ram was the first, followed by Snake, then Horse and then finally Dragon. With each hand seal, he felt his chakra fluctuate, rising and falling and taking various forms within his chakra circulatory network. For a moment, he even thought he felt something... spark.

Haruto repeated the hand seal motion for a second time, then a third, then a fourth... with each cycle, the Redhead accustomed himself to both the hand seals and the response and feel of the chakra within him. Closing his eyes, he imagined the natural lightning in the skies above him, the one that brought him that otherworldly sense of peace every time he stared at it.

For what was perhaps the fifteenth time, Haruto ended the cycle of hand seals with the Dragon seal, but then time, he focused on letting his chakra surge instead of holding it back. He felt heat emanate from his fingertips, and opened his eyes to see them enveloped  in small sparks, only to for the sparks to die out a few moments later.

"Well-ttebare," Haruto murmured to himself, as he stared at both of his hands which were now lightly singed, although the pain was more than bearable. "At least I know I have the 'Lightning Release' part down," he smiled softly.

Haruto closed his eyes, and focused on his chakra again, meditating. He was afraid of singeing himself by releasing too large an electrical wave, but he knew too well that hesitation would not get him far on the battlefield. If he wanted to get strong, he had to take risks. Thus, cerulean blue orbs opened with electric determination (pun guiltily intended), before Haruto localised his target in the form a tree located on the opposite end of the clearing.

Taking a deep breath, the Uzumaki boy began to sprint in the direction of the tree with the relatively wide trunk. The Ram seal began the cycle yet again, only this time the motion was instantaneous - hand seals barely visible. Haruto Uzumaki flashed through them in no more than a second, the motion concluding in the Dragon Seal and Haruto could practically feel the pain in his hands' tenketsu points as he thrust both palms forward.

"Lightning Release: Electromagnetic Murder!"

A small spark shot out of his hands, before promptly dissipating upon touching the insulating air.

Haruto just stared at his hand, at first in shock (pun cruelly intended), before the disappointment began to settle in and he lowered his head in an expression of shame. Then, the Redheaded Uzumaki proceeded to bonk himself upside the head. Clearly, he had not put in enough chakra. He was afraid, and hesitant, and that had been his down fall in this first attempt. He needed to mix in huge amounts of chakra into the technique - a lot more than he was used to, since he was still a fresh Genin, a Rookie in his earliest days, and one who had never tried a technique above E-Rank before. Plus, at the same time, he needed to manipulate that chakra into lightning and then release it all with perfect timing.

Stepping back, Haruto returned to just under the tree he was in. He began to meditate again, heaving in all the chakra he could. Being of Uzumaki descent, he was gifted with the bodily traits of Asura Otsutsuki, who in turn had been gifted with the body of the Sage of the Six Paths himself. No doubt, he had huge reserves of chakra. All he needed to do, was bring it all to the surface. With each breath, he felt the chakra circulating through his foremost pathways rising like the tides concurrently with his focus and concentration.

"Bring it all out, dattebare!" he said, in order to motivate himself.

A red blur was seen sprinted down the clearing for the second time that day, as Haruto bolted across the wet, drenched grass, sprinklets of water shooting up around his black ninja sandals with each step. Once again the Redheaded Uzumaki was flashing through each of the hand signs for this literally murderous technique. The Snake escaped the strike of the Ram, but Horse quickly consumed the Snake; the very Horse that grew wings and took the form of a Dragon.

Haruto pulled his palm back following the Dragon seal, before thrusting it forth in a jabbing motion as sparkling arcs of bluish-white electricity roared and screamed, brought to life around his fingers for the sole purpose of bringing forth the murder of the evil one.

CRACKLE. KA-BOOM!

"AHH!"

Multiple shooting bolts of lightning enveloped Haruto's hands before an explosion emanating from them quite literally shot him into the air, the Redheaded Uzumaki landing on his back, before bouncing, rolling and landing on his face in the clearing. Sparks of electricity surrounded his arms for a few moments before dissipating, the Uzumaki Boy's teeth clenched in pain. He lay there in the ground for the next few minutes, his hands seared and screaming, as he let the pain subside.

Okay, Haruto had to admit. He had never felt that kind of pain before. Not even during the Academy Spars.

This technique... would be lethal once he perfected it.

"Well..." the Redheaded Uzumaki murmured to himself when he found his voice again, "Guess... that goes to show... that it wasn't... improperly named-ttebare...!"

Once he had recovered somewhat, around an hour later, Haruto pushed himself onto his butt, one knee raised upon which he placed his arm, and stared at the tree he had aimed for, his failed target. The source of wood stared back at him, almost mockingly so. Haruto harrumped, before standing up, ignoring the wobbling sensation in his legs and the residual numbness in his hands.

His inquisitive mind had analysed, during his down time, the scene that had transpired. It was a simple mistake, one rooted almost entirely in his hesitancy. He had consolidated the huge amount of chakra required, but he had overestimated his ability to contain it and not released it quickly enough for it not to damage his own person.

"Figures-ttebare..." Haruto said to himself slowly. "I'm playing with lightning, the cold-blooded fire. It only makes sense that I need to be..."

Quickly, he broke into a sprint again, ignoring what remained of the pain as he sped forth. The Snake Seal followed the Ram Seal, and the Dragon followed them all. He felt the chakra swelling within him with the Ram motion, slithering towards his fingertips with the gracefulness of a serpent with the Snake seal, then rising with the might of a stallion upon the issuance of the Horse seal, the crackling electricity manifesting and roaring with the Dragon Seal before once again, the Blood Heir of Asura Otsutsuki thrust his palm forward.

"... fast!"

The electricity surged and escaped, Haruto letting it go swiftly this time around. "Raiton: Jibashi!"

The Lightning Release: Electromagnetic Murder Technique lit up the entire clearing, at the same time as a lightning bolt struck in the cloudy skies above. The lightning surge from the fingers of the Redheaded Uzumaki mirrored the heavenly crackles rather beautifully, as a gust of wind slanted the falling rain droplets straight onto the Uzumaki boy's concentrating and determined face.

A few bolts of electricity crackled the Earth apart, but some other ones shot straight towards that had been Haruto's target at unprecedented speed, splintering the wood as Haruto felt a rush of euphoria and adrenaline overcome him.

"Wow... I can't believe it, I got it down?! This is awesome, dattebare!"

For the first time in his short life, Uzumaki Haruto actually cheered in genuine happiness and delight.

Aiming High (Private/Training) Empty Re: Aiming High (Private/Training)

Thu Mar 08, 2018 12:52 pm
The next day would find the young Haruto in that same training ground, perched upon a tree as he continued to study another one of the scrolls he had issued from the village library. This time, he was focusing on Genjutsu, the ninja art that allowed one to cast illusions to ensnare an enemy. The entire ordeal certainly intrigued the redheaded Uzumaki, and while he was certain that his true interests lay in the speciality of his ancestors - the Sealing Arts - he had to admit that Genjutsu had an appeal to it. Perhaps he would consider learning a few Genjutsu himself.

"Some basic ones could always come in handy, dattebare," the young Uzumaki thought, a hand on his chin.

Making a mental note to look into some proper Genjutsu jutsu scrolls later on, and perhaps issue a couple from the library, the young Uzumaki returned to studying the technique he intended to Master for today. It was quite a simple art, and one that he felt he should've been taught at the Academy. Had he bunked that class? Haruto could not really recall at the moment; he did have a habit of skipping class but it was always the boring ones in which he did so.

In any case, the Genjutsu Release was quite simple in principle. All he had to do was  cause his own chakra, the flowing rivers of blue energy he felt gushing against the walls of his chakra circulatory pathways, to flow rapidly through his own body. According to theory, he could thus shatter the opponent's hold over his chakra flow, and therefore, escape the Genjutsu.

Haruto stood up from his perched position, rolling the scroll shut, before he walked into the clearing. Closing his eyes, Haruto immersed himself deep into the oceans that constituted his chakra, finding his calm centre before he perceiving the flowing soups of physical and mental energy in his chakra circulatory network.

Haruto inhaled, and then exhaled, as his fingers came together to morph into a single hand seal: the Tiger.

He could feel the energy upon utilising the Tiger seal swell inside his chakra networks, his entire body seemingly overwhelmed by roaring might of the jungle cat itself under the effects of the single hand sign. The rush felt like one of excitement or adrenaline, only a lot more ethereal than any physiological mechanism could ever be.

"Kai!"

Haruto uttered the word, and the rushing energy inside him suddenly plummeted, as if a seagull in full flight had suddenly made a sharp turn in the air before diving down into the ocean below. Slowly rising surge of chakra upon the manifestation of the Tiger seal, followed by a sudden plummeting fall upon the verbal utterance that signified the conclusion of the technique. Simple, yet effective in completely unhinging an opponent's control over one's chakra network.

Haruto felt like he had now at least grasped the basic idea behind the Genjutsu Release. Opening his eyes, cerulean blue orbs gazed upon at the dark, overcast sky of Kumogakure no Sato, and the Uzumaki smiled.

Fuuin.

The wind threw back Haruto's red hair as he looked at the kanji marked across the spine of the scroll laid on the moist grass before him. 封, meaning 'Seal', was a word that resonated stronger with Haruto than any. It was the one kanji that inspired him more than any other, the intricate strokes of ink coming together in the form of two parallel, straight lines, each dissected by two or more transverse ones.

To Haruto, it signified the legacy of his clan, his father's fathers, and his people. The Uzumaki had given to the world great things, but they were now long gone, victims of a ruthless world, and now nothing more than memories of a bygone era. And yet, despite the world's hatred for them, despite their attempts at exterminating them, they were all still alive.

Yes, they lived in Haruto.

That was precisely how he felt, about his father, and his grandfather, and his father, and the father of that father in turn, until his lineage connected with all those who had perished in Uzu no Kuni during the Second Great Ninja War. He felt like he carried within himself a part of them, and no doubt he did, for he was their seed; his flesh was from their flesh, and his blood was from their blood.

He was an Uzumaki, a Son of the Eddies. And the word Fuuin, or 'Seal', was his entire life.

Thus, one could now found the young Uzumaki in Training Ground Thirty Three, a quill in his hand next to a pot of ink, gentle, and inexperienced yet somehow exquisitely masterful strokes of black against dried parchment. He practised again and again, writing the kanji for 'Seal' (封), though any honest commentator would have pointed out that he did not need to. He was a natural, a gifted prodigy when it came to the Art of Calligraphy, of writing Seals.

His mind simply thought in Seals, for he read them like an experienced physiognomist could read the shape of the human body, and write them like the finest of calligraphers. It was, after all, his Uzumaki heritage.

Done with his daily calligraphy practice for the day, the Redheaded Sealing Prodigy pulled out another scroll, the one containing information one of the most basic - and yet most useful - seals known to any shinobi. It was the 'Mark Seal', and Haruto unfurled the Scroll and placed it above his Fuinjutsu practice Scroll, as he sat cross-legged on the moist Kumogakure grass. Taking up his quill in his nimble fingers, the Redheaded Son of the Eddies immersed it into the ink pot before bringing it gently forwards onto the Fuinjutsu Practice Scroll.

His wrist flexed and fingers semi-extended as the gentlest of touches of his brush impressed upon the Fuinjtusu Practice Scroll, the tiniest of dots, a few millimeters wide.

Haruto then pressed his finger onto the small dot, pouring in chakra, before the dot of ink became a dot of chakra and became one with his fingers. "Awesome, dattebare," Haruto said to himself, a smile gracing his features, "I have the basic seal down, now I just need to get the relevant jutsu. This is so. Much. Fun! Dattebare!"

Just the act of writing and practising seals created within the Uzumaki boy a strange, unexplainable euphoria.

Long after the Sun, hidden behind the overcast sky and dark cumulonimbus clouds that enveloped this naturally concealed portion of Lightning Country, had crossed the zenith and begun to descend, one could still find Uzumaki Haruto in that same training ground. Not being assigned to a Genin Team had been a cloud with a silver lining, as Haruto had been given the opportunity to train in advance of meeting his team-mates fresh out of the Academy.

Another extremely simple technique that Haruto wished he had learned at the Academy, and once again a reminder of what the Uzumaki had given to the world. They had been the originators of sealing scrolls, after all, so the Generic Sealing Technique was, undoubtedly, a part of his legacy.

Haruto unfurled an empty Scroll he had borrowed from one of his neighbours (he himself was a bit too broke to buy one, as he had not yet gone on any missions). For training purposes, the Redheaded Uzumaki felt it would suffice. Placing the Scroll partially open on the moist grass underneath, Haruto placed his hand on the open parchment and channelled chakra into it, before he took up his quill, immersing it into the nearby ink pot for the umpteenth time that day.

The quill soon danced across the open scroll. It was a simple seal that the Son of the Eddies inscribed upon the light bronze parchment, resembling both the kanji for 'Seal', arrayed across the underlying kanji for 'Store', surrounded in a circular, geometric design. Once the calligraphy was complete, Haruto again placed his palm upon the parchment and again began to channel chakra into it, although this time he did so upon the inscribed sealing arrays specifically.

With some mental effort he released mental energy, channelling it from mind down his spine into the chakra pathway networks of his hand, pouring out of the tenketsu at his fingertips while combining with the physical energy of the world around him to constitute the necessary Chakra. The chakra, bluish, began to take the shape of the two very kanjis on the open Scroll, before the kanjis themselves disappeared, leaving behind an empty scroll.

"Alright-ttebare," Haruto stood up, before he picked up the Teaching Scroll, rolled it closed and placed it atop his newly designed Sealing Scroll. He channeled chakra into his Seal, and a poof later, the Teaching Scroll vanished, sealing inside the Sealing Scroll.

Haruto grinned, before placing his palm on the invisible seal and channeling chakra again, watching as it became visible again before, in another poof, the Teaching Scroll lay there, re-summoned from whatever dimension it had been sealed in.

"Alright, dattebare!"

Haruto cheered, the red-headed Uzumaki jumping onto his feet. He felt tired, that was for sure, but he had just spent the entire day from dawn til after noon, practising and refining his Sealing Arts, and learning three new techniques. They were basics, but Haruto was not the kind of shinobi that discredited even the smallest of resources that could become available to him. Needless to say, Haruto was delighted, and in a good mood, he began to end the day by exercising.

Thus, he leapt onto the ground face first before breaking his fall with his outstretched palms. Subsequently, he lowered himself, before performing a push up. One turned to two and two turned to twenty and twenty turned to a hundred and twenty. Then, he performed a series of squats, and then sprinted across the field again, this time beating last time's record according to his stopwatch.

Thus, a very tired and very sore Uzumaki Haruto left the Training Ground Thirty Three that evening.
