Mission Time

Miyamoto was at the mission center looking for missions for his new team.  After the Spar with Tsume and Cole, and not having seen Satoru in a while he decided it was time to gear them up to become apart of the real deal in shinobi forces.  As he browsed with intent for something that was noteworthy enough to grab the attention of all involved he was approached by a shinobi, an older female with a gentle smile on her face as she waited for Miyamoto to notice her.

"I am to assume you must be the very same Miyamoto that was with team Snow some months ago are you not?"  She asked as Miyamoto surprised to hear the full-bodied voice from the female but nodded in silence as he confirmed her question.
"Good, there was a mission that was left unchecked by Lord Snow and has now become an even bigger threat to those traveling outside the village than before.  Here take a look."  She would say, handing Miyamoto a scroll.  Without a word, he would unroll it and read it's contents.  His eyes grew wide as he finished the document...How in the world was his sensei that dense to not give them this mission...even if they ranked up...what the hell.  That was when the lady spoke once more.

"You see a number of out of the village farmers and travelers are beginning to complain in larger groups because this situation was never handled.  Since you are the only one from that team to continue visiting me in this old dusty hall...the duty befalls onto you.  Please clean this mess up quickly noble Miyamoto."  She said as Miyamoto sighed and held out his hand for the usual contract to sign and for the message to be delivered to his team; Cole, Tsume, and Satoru.  It was time to assemble under Lord Snow's name...a moniker he thought he would never use again.

After grabbing his things from his home he would head for the village gates and wait for his team.  Using his summon technique he would bring out Tatsu as the overgrown Komodo Dragon appeared there at the gates...it was like an old foreign kaiju film he had heard about.  It was comical, to say the least.  He greeted his friend and warned him of what was about to transpire before de-summoning him for the time being.

Where was his team?

Holy Crap what a mess (Mission, P, IO) Empty Re: Holy Crap what a mess (Mission, P, IO)

Tue Feb 20, 2018 2:09 am
Morning come, and it hit Tsume hard. He slept past Haku, which doesn't happen often. He was pretty slow this morning with getting ready and eating breakfast. Hakucho then shrieked, telling him that they had a mission. Tsume sat at the table and looked confused, then it hit him. "Shoot, we do?" That woke him up. He was much fast at getting his gear on. Before he headed out the door, he knocked at his guest room door where Satoru was staying. "We have a mission today," He informed Sat just in case. After that, he open the door and jumped from building to building to get to the gates faster. Lucky Haku was just able to fly over and arrived at the gate.

There, they saw Miya summon a komodo dragon and then de summon him after saying a few words. "Good morning sensei," Tsume greeted as he arrived and as Haku landed on his shoulder. "Who was that?" he asked then said, "I didn't know you had a summoning race." There was still a lot they didn't know about each other. But that changes a lot with all the missions and spars they do. Speaking of finding out things, Tsume found out what clan had lava style and it turned out it was a clan called Terumi clan. It also came with another kekki genki, called boil release. Tsume was curious on why Miya didn't ever share that with them but it was a conversation for another day.

Holy Crap what a mess (Mission, P, IO) Empty Re: Holy Crap what a mess (Mission, P, IO)

Cole was in his lap in the basement working on created a way to add the powerful scorpion venom into his body. When Vilect rose from the side of the table “Son don’t you have a mission to do today” Cole looked at him and squinted his eyes thinking. “Damn it your right like normally,” Cole said as he took off his lap coat revealing his normal coat under it. Cole walked upstairs and yelled “you coming or just going to go back home” back down the stairs. There was no response so he shut the door and locked it behind him. Cole then walked out the front door and shut and locked it behind him as well.

Walking out into the streets cole closed his eyes for a moment getting used to the bright sun. it was a little dark down in the lab and the sun hurt his eyes. He had gotten to where he was spending more and more time down there trying to figure out how to do this. The streets were a little busy with people out doing their normal stuff. Not wanting to deal with it cole took off running and jumped on top of the building nearby. He then made his way to the wall which was not very far from his house just a block or two. He used the tree climbing jutsu to cling to the wall, and then body flickered at a speed of 185. It was not too long before cole came running around on the wall at crazy speed jumping off the wall, and doing some crazy corkscrew flip thing before landing next to Miyamoto, and taking a bite out of an apple that he had pulled out of his pack. “Hey so what's this mission were doing” he would say between bites.

Holy Crap what a mess (Mission, P, IO) Empty Re: Holy Crap what a mess (Mission, P, IO)

Satoru is awoken by Tsume’s notification. His room is cool as he lifts his covers and steps out of bed. The windows are just slightly propped open and locked in place to let air in and out. At the same time, intruders would have a hard time getting in due to the locked nature of the window’s position. This air flow is what keeps the room cool, just the way Satoru likes is when he wakes up. Light also shines through and illuminates the chamber in the orange and gold of the sunrise.

Satoru is not privy to having a mission today. This notification from Tsume is his first knowing of it. Maybe this is due to the fact that he has been paying less attention lately. Nevertheless, he prepares for the day as normally as he would any day. Before he leaves the house, he equips himself with his standard gear, performs stretches, and sets off. Knowing that he is a part of a team of genin lead by a chuunin, Satoru takes it upon himself to understand what a sudden mission such as this entails. He quickly makes his way to the village gates and sees Miyamoto as well as Tsume and Cole standing ready to depart.

“Sorry.” Satoru apologies simply upon reaching his team. As usual, he has few words and gets to the point. “So, what is our mission?”

Holy Crap what a mess (Mission, P, IO) Empty Re: Holy Crap what a mess (Mission, P, IO)

Thu Feb 22, 2018 1:07 pm
When the team all gathered he bowed to each of them in turn as they arrived. Making a note mentally of the arrival order for the mission as he sighed as it seemed each of them just knew about their involvement in the mission but not its details. It actually made him chuckle a bit.

Tsume's previous question of who he was talking to was really easy to answer. He flashed a smile to the Genin and told him about Tatsu and that the Dragon's Ravine at the edge of the borders of the country held a fair amount of wonders if one could brave through the haze.

To the matter at hand, once they were all in the vicinity he would have them all gather within .5 of Miyamoto. There was no sense in spreading rumors or seeds of discord among the village if he could help it. With a sigh, he finally opened up about the mission details since nobody seemed to have read the scroll.

"So this mission is one of dire importance, as I have told you Tsume and Satoru that I was once apart of Lord Snow's team before he was promoted to Kage...there was a mission that he himself commissioned but was unable to complete it due to his own duties. Well, it looks like now that the problems we were supposed to fix have become double in size. The problem I speak of is Missing Ninja at the borders...disrupting trade and doing what they usually do. So we are the B Team here and will now operate under the name of the kage as Team Winter for this mission only. However, I know that you three are coming to the time when you are wanting to try and elevate your status as Shinobi...this mission will be a test to see if you are really worthy of such a thing. Each of you will lead the mission at various points, at which I will evaluate you all and give you advice at the end of the mission, but if I have to step in...then consider it a failing grade from me and a letter to the Kage and Deputy Kage regarding the upcoming exams." He said this in a very cold tone as he looked at the three of them in turn before settling on Satoru.
"Now because you are not yet considered to be a Hoshi shinobi, but you have been apart of the team for a long time, just as long as Tsume. You will lead first. Your objective is to get your team...us...to the borders safely and without a casualty." Then as soon as he was done he would begin walking to the gates where he would wait for the rest of them, letting them talk for a moment if they needed to. Otherwise, it was time to get this show on the road.

Transfering Lead of Mission to Satoru until he reaches his objective. Tsume will be next to lead, which I will explain at the given time. Cole being the new guy gets the heft of the mission as he will cover leading the team at the end. If you have questions about this decision...please message me.

Holy Crap what a mess (Mission, P, IO) Empty Re: Holy Crap what a mess (Mission, P, IO)

Thu Feb 22, 2018 6:13 pm
Miya explained that the lizard's name was Tatsu and was from the Dragon's Ravine. Tsume had heard of the place and thought it was impressive sounding and maybe he'd pay a visit to this place of wonders. Maybe even finding his own summoning race and getting a contract.

Soon everyone was at the meeting place. Once that was done, Miya gathered them close, meaning this was a secret mission. He explained the mission soon after. "So this mission is one of dire importance, as I have told you Tsume and Satoru that I was once apart of Lord Snow's team before he was promoted to Kage...there was a mission that he himself commissioned but was unable to complete it due to his own duties..." Tsume remembered him talking about it. Which he thought was really cool. He then told them the mission itself, it was a group take down. This made Tsume a little nervous that they tried to get someone as strong as the kage to do it.  "However, I know that you three are coming to the time when you are wanting to try and elevate your status as Shinobi...this mission will be a test to see if you are really worthy of such a thing. Each of you will lead the mission at various points, at which I will evaluate you all and give you advice at the end of the mission, but if I have to step in...then consider it a failing grade from me and a letter to the Kage and Deputy Kage regarding the upcoming exams." Tsume nodded after Miya stated the cold part of the mission. He knew that it was his moment to show his worth to Hoshi.

Their sensei then explained that Satoru was to take lead while heading to the location with him being one of the longest members of the team along with Tsume and Haku.

Now that the mission was explained, the duo looked at Satoru for instructions in transporting them to the location of the group. Tsume was ready for anything for this mission and he trusted his team with his safety. He also trust that Miya would get them out of danger if they ever got into something life threatening. He had worked with the group for a long time and it was about time they were to do a S rank mission. Don't get Tsume and Haku wrong, they were pumped but they weren't about to let it get to their head.

Holy Crap what a mess (Mission, P, IO) Empty Re: Holy Crap what a mess (Mission, P, IO)

Cole walked over to the other three to have a little huddle. Their Miyamoto told them that the mission was to take out a missing-nin that was powerful enough that the hogokage was supposed to do it before he became the kage but got to busy and forgot. Probably too busy flexing in the mirror cole thought to himself. He had only met the hogokage a few times but it was something that he had noticed and didn’t know how anyone could not notice. It was almost like every move he did was in a way to flex some kind of muscle. It was a little bit disturbing but then again cole was not going to say something to a man that could probably eat him.

Miyamoto than told them that they were going to take turns leading the expedition with Satoru going first and being in charge of getting us there. Then Tsume and then cole would take over in both of their respected turns. Cole was ok with this it would give him more info to go on with his new teammates. He had only had a spar with them and he felt that each of them had held back as he had as well with it being a spar, so he was kinda excited to see what they could do when they let loose. Cole would keep his cool though and not show any emotion to the matter and would instead look to Satoru and wait for his orders.

Holy Crap what a mess (Mission, P, IO) Empty Re: Holy Crap what a mess (Mission, P, IO)

Fri Feb 23, 2018 9:48 pm
Miyamoto, the leader of this group of shinobi, explains the mission at hand. By Satoru’s understanding, the simplest way to put this situation into words is by stating that missing ninja are causing terrible trouble at the borders of the country such that travellers are barred from having peace during their transit. However, Satoru is above simplifying anything of urgency. A mission requires detail and this is not overlooked.

To Satoru, one of the main effects that this mission’s completion will have is decreased trade for Haven Country as well as Hoshigakure. Undoubtedly, the raiding of trade carts at the border of the country without resolution has kept other nations from conducting trades with this region’s government. Due to this cut off of funds, Haven’s people should be feeling the effects in the form of a lack of foreign commodities as well as the decreased value of whatever unique currency is used by some. For this reason, it is imperative that Miyamoto, Tsume, Cole, and Satoru successfully shut down the rampaging rogue ninja at the borders.

Yet, beyond this, there is an even greater after effect. The world is competitive. All nations seek to sell their resources to foreign lands for an economic leg up. But if a government agrees on a trade of goods and this trade fails to be completed, the transaction is seen as a waste of funds. No government in its right mind would make such an unstable agreement. So, who do they turn to when making trades? Any major nation apart from Haven and its infested borders. Smaller lands will pay Lightning Country, Fire Country, the Land of Waves and any other more trusted and secure land. Any hidden village conspiring against Hoshigakure will see greater revenue and thus be ahead in what can be called an arms race for superior shinobi training and technology. The safety of Hoshigakure is at stake in a sense.

These are the ramifications of failure. By laying them out in front of him, Satoru is able to put a world relation to the task at hand. And he will require as much motivation as possible due to the severity of this mission. By the sound of Miyamoto’s explanation, this is an S-ranked operation. Unless the chuunin is keeping information from his team, the enemy is of an unknown number with unknown skill levels and unknown abilities. On top of this, the team has not been formed based on any information about the rogue ninja whom they are to encounter. The amount of unknowns in a mission like this hike of the risk considerably. So much so that Satoru finds himself wondering in the back of his head: “How much are we being paid for this mission?”.

He then is informed that he is to lead the team until they reach the country’s borders safely. The task is not so simple that he takes it into his head and leaves it there, allowing it to be his sole objective. No, he knows just as well as his chuunin mentor that the world outside of the village’s walls are dangerous beyond what some of us have experienced before. Missing ninja are no fantasy, they will jump you, steal your money and belongings, and then kill you before you ever knew what hit you.

“I understand.” Satoru responds. He is prepared to surely spearhead the trek to the country’s borders, aware of the need to keep safe from missing ninja and the targets of the mission. He knows that the targets are not to appear until the borders are reached by an investigative nature should remain among them while locating their enemy. “We should all keep our eyes peeled for signs of the enemy. They must be expecting shinobi forces to put a stop to their rampage. There’s no reason they shouldn’t be prepared for us.”

With respect, he looks to Miyamoto in such a way as to ask with his face: “I’ll lead on now?”. Should he be given an affirmative notification, he will wait for all members of the party to be prepared for departure. Finally, he quickly leaps into a tree and proceeds to use the branches as his medium for travel as ninja do. His eyes remain sharp for whatever signs might exist leading them to the whereabouts of their targets.

Holy Crap what a mess (Mission, P, IO) Empty Re: Holy Crap what a mess (Mission, P, IO)

Mon Feb 26, 2018 11:42 am
"looks like we are all good to go then.  Lead the way Satarou,"  Miyamoto said as he gave a copy of the map marking the location of the last known incident which was a kidnapping of a young mother and her child.  Miyamoto did not give them this information because there was no need.  They just needed to know that the mission was simple, find and subdue the missing ninja...if they killed them, that was their own prerogative.  As soon as Satoru launched off from the gates to the trees, Miyamoto laughed a little before taking off as well easily catching up to Satoru as he let him lead the way, keeping an eye on his entire team as he did so.

"Ok guys, listen..."  Miyamoto started as they ran through the forests that surrounded Hoshi.  "I have been grateful to have trained with as well as to have seen you all fight, but the spars and the tournament are over.  This is life or death.  If your life is in danger, do what must be done, but do not neglect those around you.  We are a group...even you new guy."  He said to all of them pointing out Cole again, he knew that guy had some serious potential.  He wanted to see more from the spar but cursed his own lack of stamina training.
"So to that end, we are family, regardless of what families you all have anyway.  Keep each other safe, don't try to be a hero."  Miyamoto finished as he followed in silence.

Holy Crap what a mess (Mission, P, IO) Empty Re: Holy Crap what a mess (Mission, P, IO)

Mon Feb 26, 2018 5:19 pm
Now the introduction to the mission was done, Satoru had now been placed in control. Tsume and Haku didn't object, they trusted Satoru and Miya. They were willing to travel the world with the group. Sadly they weren't traveling the world, just traveling to the edge of the country.

They now were on the way to the last known place. Miya gave a piece of his mind to them. He told them that it was no longer spar, tournaments or preparation to the ninja world, they were no in the ninja world. It was now life and death. Tsume followed behind Satoru and beside Miya. The Chokyoshi looked at Miya while he said his inspiring speech and nodded at the end. Then he turned his attention towards Satoru. "Satoru, if you'd like me to, I could send Haku to look ahead from the air." It was a good suggestion in Tsume's mind. Hakucho was kinda just flying beside Tsume below the leaves of the trees.

If Satoru agreed to let the white feathered falcon to fly ahead, Haku would fly above the rest and ahead of them, using his sharp vision to look out for incoming enemies.
