Asylum Madness [p, Haruko] Empty Asylum Madness [p, Haruko]

Thu Feb 01, 2018 9:40 pm
It was one of these not so rare bad days in Kumo and Yasumi was bored to death. There was not much to do and her brother was taking a nap because he needed to work later. So she got into her boots and took an umbrella to take a walk in the bad weather. There was something in the neighbourhood that attracted her attention every time she would go pass it. Hjalbin had once told her this had been an asylum but since its close down because of the bad shape of it and the wandering souls of the poor inmates who had committed suicide because they went crazy or where treated in ways nobody would wish to be treated. She had looked into it a bit it had only been empty for about 5 years now, who would think that people would do such things to other people especially if they were there to get help? Hjalbin had whispered to her: "They do a lot worse things, I know, I have been there, but they won't get me again", he almost seemed a bit hysteric as he had grabbed her shoulders, "Never ever let someone get to your head Yasu, never think anyone can heal it better than you, they will turn you upside down for their own pleasure, they come with glowing sticks pushing them to your head until you go nuts", he had rubbed two spots between his eyes where is extensive face colouring had hidden two burn marks but then he had stated he needed to go an in an instant he was gone.

Now Yasumi was standing in front of that gate again looking at the house. It would be easy to just climb the wall and jump to the others side, but she was not sure if she would dare to cross that line just out of curiosity. If only just someone was here. Maybe max she knew he was all up for adventures. Or maybe Hiyu-san but he would probably be the voice of reason. Even Hjalbin would be fine, unless he'd throw one of his strange fits like that other day.

Asylum Madness [p, Haruko] Empty Re: Asylum Madness [p, Haruko]

Thu Feb 01, 2018 11:47 pm
Haruko loved storms. She had always loved storms. During her days sequestered in her dark hospital dormitory, they had been her brief respite from the worst of things, for her treatment was often postponed when the power for the medical equipment was lost. Even before she had left, while she lived in Kumogakure as a child, storms had held a special place in her heart. She would play in the rain and laugh as the thunder roared. Sometimes her mother and father would join her, trouncing through the rain and laughing all the way.

She wasn’t laughing this time. She was most certainly trouncing, however. Strolling gladly through the harsh weather, her boots splashed in large puddles and water glanced off her coat as her body endured the worst of what mother nature had to offer. She never felt quite so alive as when she was running outside in a thunderstorm. The rumbling in the distance, powerful and foreboding, used to frighten her friends. She always thought it sounded like the clouds were purring.

Her thoughts of happier times were brought to a halt, however, when she noticed someone standing in the street, staring blankly at something. Her eyes followed the girl’s gaze, and quickly encapsulated the old abandoned asylum that stood there. Just as she did so, thunder roared in the distance, and a flash of light illuminated it. She remembered this place, vaguely. Well, maybe not this place. She’d never been there, after all. She had heard stories of Kumogakure’s mental asylums, however. How they would lock up those who weren’t of sound mind without offering treatment, letting them fester in their own madness until they expired. It was sickening.

It also sounded like a pretty cool place to check out, if she was being honest. Though she wasn’t a big fan of hospitals, odds were she’d be safe to take a look around this one. Still, it seemed wrong to just hop on in unannounced. With an accomplice, however, she felt that the blame could be soundly shifted. As she had a curious party right before her, she merely stepped beside them, her presence likely masked by the downpour and the drum of the rain against the girl’s umbrella.

”Crazy, isn’t it?” She asked simply, announcing her presence.

Asylum Madness [p, Haruko] Empty Re: Asylum Madness [p, Haruko]

The raindrops played an orchestra of drums on her umbrella while she looked at the house almost a little bit hypnotized. The old boots she wore thankfully where leather and at least kind of waterproof so her feet would not be wet or cold yet. She wore the dress she had on her most of the times and just stood there like someone had placed her there and then forgot to take her along again when going further. Her long hair falling down her back was waving in the wind of the storm and at least the tips had gotten wet when the other girl joined her silently before addressing her.
By the sudden sound of a voice she would slightly flinch before turning her head slowly towards her and gently nodded her head at her: "Yes it is indeed. What do you think, would they mind if we go in? It looks scary, but I need to become tougher anyways so", she would smile at her, "But I would love to have an accomplice in that matter just in case I get scared", she would look at her as if this was a kind of conspiracy, "would you like to tag along? I am sure this will be a lot of fun." After this try of persuading her she would wait a little to now let her opposing party have a moment to decide if she wanted to make the move together.

Asylum Madness [p, Haruko] Empty Re: Asylum Madness [p, Haruko]

Tue Feb 06, 2018 9:55 am
Well, it seems she’d found a willing participant. The girl seemed to have been contemplating the very same thing that Haruko had. This was quite fortunate.
”I don’t see anyone telling us not to.” She said, a mischievous grin on her face as she took a step toward the abandoned building that had once been a place of healing. ”Count me in.” She said, turning about face towards her accomplice and holding out a hand to shake. ”I’m Haruko, by the way.” She added, her one last little grain of input before she turned towards the building.

She would head towards the building, one long jump placing her hand atop the fence. She held herself there for a moment, nearly slipping against the wrought iron of the gate, before pulling her remaining hand up to hold her in place, pulling herself up the gate and holding out a hand for her accomplice to help her up. If she accepted, Haruko would pull her up and over the gate alongside herself, hopping down to the dirt below. If not, she’d simply hop down on her own.

Either way, she was now standing at the entrance of the asylum, looking around warily.

”I don’t suppose anybody’s home, huh?” She asked her new friend.

Asylum Madness [p, Haruko] Empty Re: Asylum Madness [p, Haruko]

She would chuckle as her new acquaintance would point out, that there was no one telling them no and therefore it should be totally okay. Well it would be crazy to have someone watch over this broken down building to just have them shoo out unwanted visitors. Now this time when the other one held out her hand to shake it she gave her to stump to shake because her left was holding the umbrella: "Yasumi, nice to meet you", she would say in reply before also turning towards the building. But instead of jumping the gate she would turn to walk over the wall. Slowly setting foot after foot walking up to the top and then jumping down from there giving a quite Mary Poppins like entry with her umbrella playfully spinning while she made a small splash on the wet ground. "That was fun", she chuckled and looked around. Home it did not seem like a place where someone would like to be home. "Well maybe some birds and small critters will call this home but it does not look fit for humans to live in", slowly she would walk towards the entrance of the Asylum. She would run her hand along the rough would of the two winged doors and as she tried the handle it was naturally closed. A sigh escaped her. Well who would have thought that breaking and entering was not always easy? "I suppose we need to find a window to get in", she looked up above them.

Asylum Madness [p, Haruko] Empty Re: Asylum Madness [p, Haruko]

The girl shook her hand, and just like that, they were partners in crime. With her new accomplice, Haruko scaled the wall, skillfully ascending the wrought-iron fence. It was no easy feat, and Haruko was willing to offer her aid to the other girl, but when she turned to offer her hand, she saw that the girl had taken the easy way out, and simply used the surface walking technique to climb right on up. Well, that was annoying. She sorta forgot that ninja could do that.
"Showoff." She sighed, slipping off the fence and onto the ground.

Yasumi didn't seem to think there was anybody home beyond a few birds and bugs, and Haruko was inclined to agree. At least, she sure hoped there was nobody home. She didn't wanna accidentally stumble across a homicidal maniac. "Careful, it might be the Raikage's secret lair. We don't wanna stumble across a murder dungeon or something." She joked, mostly to kill the tension. As the girl attempted to open the doors, she reported that they wouldn't open, and searched for a window. Haruko gave the doors a little shake, annoyed that they wouldn't yield, before placing a foot upon the wall, her chakra connecting her to it.

"Easy." She said, slowly working her way up the wall. Man, most people didn't show it, but walking up a wall like this was murder on your calves. Haruko felt herself regretting skipping leg day as she scaled the wall. She came across a dingy old window, the glass panes shattered completely. Opening it was as easy as reaching in and unlocking it. She pulled open the window, raising a fist in triumph as a bolt of lightning found its home somewhere in the distant country side. Mere coincidence, most likely. She gestured for Yasumi to enter first.

"After you." She said, with mock conduct.

Asylum Madness [p, Haruko] Empty Re: Asylum Madness [p, Haruko]

Yasu would peak at Haruko smiling still and waving with the stump of her right arm: "I am sorry but it was easier for me that way, I am not so good in free climbing with only my hands especially with one preoccupied", she would raise the umbrella lightly while walking to the door. After that she would follow her new accomplice around the house looking at the windows and making herself a picture of the old house. The possibility to stumble across someone's secret lair was kind of funny to think of. "That would be an amazing find, although I would doubt that we then live to tell the tale", she chuckled and watched her scale the wall.

Only when Haruko had found a window she would also join her on the higher part of the wall. Slowly folding in the umbrella she would then slightly curtsey: "Thank you." Then sitting down on the window ledge she put her legs in and let the rest of her body follow as she dropped in. Then she looked around in the room, she had entered a patients room, small with two beds in it. They had belts on them to restrain people, small bedside tables and a sink. The walls were grey and here and there were graffiti old or new were impossible for her to say.

After a short moment she would turn towards the window: "No ghost around it is safe to enter", a chuckle following the remark about it after looking around closer. The room was dusty and the walls where slowly crumbling but other than that everything seemed fine. The door was open and leading into a hallway that was especially dark, something that made her shiver a little. Darkness was not something she was comfortable with so much, but she was prepared so while she set down her bag to take out Luciel the puppet she had taken along she waited for Haruko to enter.
