Where there was one Now there is Many
Sat Dec 03, 2016 8:03 pm
Senshi entered the training grounds at his usual early hour in the morning. He had been speaking with a few Chuunin after his last mission and had learned quite a bit of valuable information. He, Kobayashi Senshi, had been slacking in his training. He hadn’t even realized he had been doing it though. He had learned all of these techniques so that he could be a good, versatile shinobi. Only to learn that he hadn’t bothered to truly master anything that he knew. Due to this, he was considerably behind the shinobi he wanted to call his peers. Today he would work on rectifying that somewhat, or so he hoped. His first technique that he wanted to work on mastering, was one of the very first ones he had learned. The Substitution jutsu. It only made sense that he would master the technique, it would allow him to escape whenever he needed it.
He had done quite a bit of research on mastery and learned that it came down to two separate ways to do it. Eliminating the hand seals of the technique or increasing the range or power of the technique. Senshi had already decided that he would be getting rid of the hand seals for the substitution technique. The range it had was perfectly fine with him, but if he could do it on a whim then he had nothing to worry about. Or at least less to worry about than usual. With that in mind he placed his cloak and bag which held his lunch on the ground. Deciding to keep the sword on his back his brought his hands up and ran through the hand seals. A second later and a twig had taken his spot and he was standing near one of the trees. Focusing on the twig now he brought up the memory of how it had felt to twist his chakra around.
Slowly he moved his chakra as though he were actually creating the hand seals. It took well over a minute but he felt the pull and as he opened his eyes he was fiercely proud to see he had switched with the twig. Now he just needed to repeat it a bunch of times and increase the speed so that it would become instinctual. With that in mind he closed his eyes again, focusing on the twig and then twisting his charka around so that he could switch with it. This second time was considerably faster than his first, and he didn’t even bother opening his eyes as he landed with a light thud where the twig had been. His chakra instantly began to twist the way he wanted it to as he focused on the twig in the middle of the training grounds. In just two attempts he had managed the technique, but he could feel how slow he was compared to when he did it with hand seals.
This was not an acceptable level and Senshi knew he needed to keep practicing in order to speed it up so that it was better than the hand seal version of the technique. As he thought through this he switched again landing in the center of the training field. His eyes opened as he glared at one of the few trees. HE had originally thought that this technique would be incredibly simple, especially after learning so many A rank techniques lately.

Kaen sat up in the tree watching the boy that looked close to his age, maybe a little older. The boy seemed to be doing the Substitution Technique as if it was a Body Flicker greatly impressing Kaen. Kobayashi Senshi had come to the Academy once to teach them about the Rope Escape Technique - which he had learned with help from Chisana - and the Shadow Shuriken, which he wasn't experienced enough to learn at the time.
When Senshi looked at the tree Kaen instantly froze up, and his leg slipped. Ungracefully he fell, hitting the ground with an audible thump to the hard ground. Kaen instantly stood up with a blush before he bowed.
"I'm sorry Senshi for spying on you, I was going to train today but I saw you and couldn't give up the chance to see you in action. I really look up to you ever since you came to the Academy and done missions around the village, I hope to be like you someday!" Kaen would scream bowing over and over again sporting a seriously red face that could match an Uzumaki's hair.
Hopefully, Chisana wouldn't get discovered up in the tree as well.

Senshi blinked several times as the dark haired boy fell out of the tree. Before he could so much as move however the other Genin was speaking. His words seemed rushed and as the boy blushed and bowed multiple times Senshi fought the urge to rub the side of his head. This was incredible awkward, he had never had someone approach him like this before. Not to mention he hadn’t even realized the other boy had been in the tree. He let loose his chakra in a pulse to feel out the others boys chakra. It wasn’t that potent and he didn’t seem to have a lot of it but Senshi did notice that he had a seeming light feeling to him. As though he was a cool breeze on a hot day. Senshi recognized it as a feeling he was beginning to get from his own Chakra since learning the Wind element.
Senshi wasn’t entirely positive if the other boy was a Wind user as well but it was something he could pay attention to. If he could learn other people’s elements just by sensing their chakra he could gain an advantage in a fight. Senshi took a few seconds to look the other boy over standing to his full five foot two inches of height and he felt a slight rippled through his muscles as he flexed slightly. The kid looked familiar and judging by his words Senshi had probably ran into him at the academy. Why he would look up to him though was what Senshi found confusing. He had done nothing but his job, his missions, just as a Shinobi should. Nothing glamorous in his opinion. Finally Senshi gave the other dark haired boy a slight nod before speaking. “Thank you, I apologize but I don’t actually know your name. I must congratulate you however, you must be a part of the new Genin class that just graduated. I hope you’ll be an asset to our village and Raikage-sama.”
Senshi felt slightly awkward unsure of what else to say. He was just getting used to conversing with his team. Being as he wasn’t exactly a personable person, he wasn’t always sure how to interact. But maybe since they were comrades and fellow Genin they could train together. That method had worked well with boyh Reizo-Sempai and Max-sempai so maybe it would work here as well. “I was conducting some basic training in order to better prepare for the Chuunin Exams, if you’d like to join me?”

Kaen needed to calm down. This was the first time he had acted like this in front of anybody and frankly, it was kind of embarrassing. Kaen instantly noted that he was taller than the boy, and he had never really thought of it before. Kaen was 5'7 and he was ten! Why did this come as such a shock to him now? He had hoped he'd stop growing...
"Ah, my name is Kaen Yuki," The boy had said with a calmer tone of voice to not embarrass himself. As Senshi congratulated him Kaen nodded slightly, "Thank you Senshi. I plan to be a great asset to Raikage-sama."
He and Kaen looked at each other in awkward silence, not knowing what to say, before he continued. Something about the Chunin Exams which made Kaen's eyes open wide. If he was already going to become a Chunin Kaen needed to step up his game to reach up to the levels of this Genin who was soon to be Chunin.
"Sure, I'd like to train. Actually, I was wondering if you were familiar with some moves that you could help me learn, mostly D-Rank ones if that was okay." Kaen said with a smile as he once again pulled out his sealing scroll from his backpack and pulled out from the sealing scroll his Jutsu Encyclopedia.
"Uh, if you need to look up anything I have this small book that I've gotten," Kaen said showing him the dull-orange book. "It's not much, only skills C-Rank and under."
Kaen then took off his backpack and jacket leaving him with just his white t-shirt and black ANBU styled pants that he had cleaned yesterday.
"What first?" Kaen said with a smile, "I'd be happy to assist you with anything."

Senshi nodded to the other boy at his introduction before reaching back and pulling Bastuodosodo off his back. The overly large sword dwarfed both of the Genin, but Senshi ignored that fact as he twisted the blade in his hand before slamming it into the dirt. Once Bastuodosodo was safely ensconced in the dirt Senshi focused back on the other boy. He could see the Jutsu encyclopedia that he was carrying around and rose an eyebrow. He hadn’t bothered to carry his around after he had memorized it. But then maybe this Genin just needed to work on memorizing it, he had just graduated after all. With that knowledge Senshi decided not to mention that fact to him.
“To be honest I’ve been intending to work on some Genjutsu if you were available. In return I know quite a bit of techniques. I’m primarily a weapons specialist but I know several Taijutsu, Ninjutus, Fuuinjutsu, and Space/Time jutsus. I just need to flesh my skills out in Genjutsu.” Senshi let loose another pulse of chakra, feeling himself becoming more familiar with Kaen’s. There was something odd about his chakra, beyond just the light wind feelings that Senshi got from him. It was interesting but Senshi was unsure what it was, it was just a feeling of cold. Very cold. Like the heart of a Kumogakure winter had come in and he, Senshi, was out in it with no clothing on. It wasn’t as uncomfortable as that but it didn’t feel quite right to the hazel eyed Genin.
“I possess the same book, it is invaluable when it comes to studying and learning new Jutsu, even if it is relegated to only C Ranks and below. What specialty have you chosen? From what I can feel of your chakra it’s more potent than most newly graduated Genin.” Senshi didn’t mention that his own chakra was far more potent, or that every member of his team had more potent chakra. It didn’t really matter, they were established Genin, had been so for a few months each already. If a brand new graduated Genin thought he could stand on Team Awesome’s level he would need to do some serious rethinking. Everyone grew with time, Senshi himself clearly remembered how new and weak he had been when he’d first graduated compared to now. He had learned many lessons, especially in over confidence that he would look to pass down to anyone who was willing to listen. Senshi knew that the new generation of Genin would also need to learn the lessons that he had. He hadn’t realized just how important those lessons were, but everyone needed to learn them.

Kaen's coal-black eyes laid down on that huge bastard sword if it could even be called a sword. It dwarfed both of them in size and height. When he slammed the sword into the ground it gave him a small example of Senshi's strength that scared him but awed him at the same time. How the hell could he even pick up, or twirl that beast for the matter. Kaen noticed the boy's eyes flicker to his Jutsu Encyclopedia for a split second before he looked back at Kaen.
Senshi's whole jutsu vocabulary was huge. It was amazing at the skill that the boy has had, but it was too be expected as he had been a Genin for a while. He'd also been training a lot from what Kaen had seen from the training grounds Senshi usually trained at. This boy made him really understand what a Genin of Kumogakure should be like. Kaen's eyes widened as he felt the pulse of chakra once again, the first time he thought it was just his chakra flowing again but Senshi was doing something. Was he... was he doing something to him? Kaen scratched the side of his head not really going to comment on that fact. Though every time that Senshi used it, it was becoming easier for him to sense chakra. Kaen would allow him to do it to develop this skill of his more.
"Hey, could you cast a lowly Genjutsu on me? I need to learn how to release Genjutsu, or else I'd die quickly in a fight with a master, I also need to train some Genjutsu myself so I'd be available," Kaen had said before putting his hands on his chin in a 'v' as he was thinking, "Not even a master. A lowly Genjutsu would get me killed before I realized it." Kaen nodded to himself as he delved on this more. He would've probably asked his father but his father would've probably shown him something idiotic, and then stole his backpack or something stupid.
"I'd like to learn some Taijutsu as it'd help me come up with easier combos. I'm trying to make up a speed style Taijutsu, so I need to find some skills that would be good for that. If you think of anything could you mention it to me? As well as some Ninjutsu as that what I'm specializing in, I'm also a Yuki and they are not known for a lot of ice-style skills so that is one more of the things I want to do in life, make my clan more known," Kaen stopped for another second to breath before he continued.
"I've only dabbled in Fuinjutsu for sealing scrolls as they are really useful, but I enjoyed it so maybe I'd like to learn more. Especially if I can make some exploding seals, and place them on an enemy before they even knew it. Fuinjutsu is such a fine art that requires lots of patience and practice with enough finesse to not mess up the scroll. It's very interesting," Kaen looked at his Jutsu Encyclopedia as he continued to speak, "I'm not really familiar with Space/Time jutsu but the name just sounds interesting enough. I'd like to learn more about that if you'd fill me in Senshi."
Kaen sighed slightly as he took his eyes off the book and looked into the boy's eyes, "So you were sensing my chakra, and to be honest it feels kind of weird. Don't mind me, keep on going because I'm gaining some sort of sensing from it. It feels tingly, ticklish, and calming at the same time. I'd like to sense your chakra as well to prove my theory of everyone else's chakra relating to their elements, or bloodlines." Kaen noticed that the boy had gone into a thinking stance. He enjoyed the formality and he felt like he shouldn't act like his normal bubbly self, and act more calm around the formality of the boy in front of him. He started to take in the details of him noticing his clothing sense which was very colorful, but subtle at the same time. His muscles were really toned from probably training so much, and his hair seemed to be groomed but not taken care of to a certain extent.
He was the perfect definition of a Shinobi, "I've been working on chakra theory, chakra control, and the elements of chakra. I'm looking for someone to teach me how to unlock my water element as I feel it slightly, and then I can finally unlock my Kekkai Genkai: Ice Release. I heard there was another Yuki in town, and someday I hope I meet him. If I don't I might just go looking for him hoping he'd be able to teach me, and if not at least tell me a few things about our clan if he knows."
Kaen shook his head slightly, "Sorry, I don't mean to involve you in my personal life until we become more than acquaintances, I don't mean to bore you." Kaen slightly laughed as he went through everything he had told to Chisana when they first met. He didn't know, but it felt like something just made him feel more calming with Chisana. Even though her personality may be cold as stone sometimes, and then warm as the sun, he really enjoyed her company. Ah, shit! Chisana was still up in the tree.
"I'm guessing since you can sense chakra you'll notice that my friend is there as well, right?" Kaen said being blunt without even meaning too. He kept his eye sight on the boy as he pointed his thumb back to the tree he was just in. "You can come out now Chisana." Then Kaen would wait until she jumped out of the tree.

(OOC: Awe, you two are sweet, I was worried I would be imposing but you waited for me? Kisses to both of you! )
Chisana swung her legs about a tree limb, now that she had been announced she guessed she'd be seen. But from what she had heard there was always this empty pausing between the two of them. Kaen was fanning over this boy. Though he was clearly more trained than the two of them, probably combined, it made the misty air feel sticky. As the best term. She pulled a few strands of strawberry wine hair about her ears and tipped her head at the two of them. Tapping a lip, her brain clicked.
"Oh yes, awkward! You're being entirely awkward Kaen and I'm not sure why. You're running your mouth more than a female is expected to." Chisana stated plainly. "It's quite odd. And you have also not been sharing, I believe that is a skill noted for infancy." She gestured with a hand to the book in his. "So are you really going to teach Kaen. If you can teach him, I'm sure you can teach me." This time pointed to the Senshi boy. He did seem quite the character as well, it was interesting running about with Kaen, but this one had real experience to market. There was much that he could teach and much he could provide. it would be silly of her to not take advantage of his skills here.

One of the dark haired Genin’s eyebrows rose slightly when he saw the widening of Kaen’s eyes, to test his theory he let loose another pulse of chakra. If he was correct then he was inadvertently teaching Kaen how to sense chakra without speaking. If that were true then he was learning much faster then even Max had. That wouldn’t be all that surprising if Kaen had a predisposition to learning chakra based techniques. Unlike he, Senshi, who was far more focused on the physical arts. Still learning the skill would be incredibly beneficial to not just the other Genin but also to Kumogakure as a whole. The more shinobi they had that could sense others the better in the hazel eyed Genin’s opinion. It would make the village infinitely more secure. At the other boys request Senshi gave a slight nod before speaking.
“I can do that, It’ll assist in my own training as well. However as my Chakra potency is so much greater I will reduce it. I must admit that I have been using Chakra sensory on you so I have a general idea as to how potent your own chakra is. I will use a D rank Genjutsu I have been reading about from that book, it is called Leaf Style: Willow. If you want to brush up on it quickly to assist you in breaking it I will begin forming my chakra.” Senshi’s tone was smooth as he spoke, using the more formal words and pronounciation out of habit. He had already gathered that the other Genin was far more relaxed than he was, much like Reizo-Sempai to be honest. But Senshi had long since learned that Reizo was quite strong in his own right and Senshi would not look down on a fellow comrade simply for being different.
With their plan set Senshi reached out grabbing Bastuodosodo’s hilt before with a light jerk he pulled the weapon free from the earth. As he did so he channeled a small amount of lightning chakra into the blade causing it to crackle with electricity and light up briefly with a few bolts of lightning. It proved much easier to remove the sword from the Earth when the blade was charged with his lightning chakra. Before Senshi could begin to configure his chakra to attempt the D rank Genjutsu the boy had continued to speak. It almost seemed as though he was rambling but Senshi decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. He was undoubtedly simply excited at finding someone who could show him some basic skills. At the mention of his clan name Senshi gave a light nod in thought, that would explain the cool feeling he felt from the boy.
The Yuki clan was not common place here in Kumogakure, as they had originated in Kirigakure, but due to the severe winters Kumogakure had he had been aware that a select few individuals of the clan had migrated here. It certainly made them a force to be reckoned with in the winter times, since it so favored them. “I know a few select D rank Taijutsu techniques, I haven’t forayed into the C rank ones yet as I’ve been focused on my own specialty. My teammate, Reizo-Sempai, however is a taijutsu specialist. As for Ninjutsu it is much the same case though I do know two C ranks. I am however Lightning natured and only just begun exploring the depths of my second elemental nature, wind.” Senshi felt that he may be sharing a bit to much with someone he didn’t know well but it had been thoroughly ingrained in him that as a Shinobi of Kumogakure it was his job to assist any that were apart of the village.
If that meant releasing more information than he was comfortable with in order to help a comrade learn then that was just something he was going to have to learn to do. Senshi rested Bastuodosodo on his shoulder, he could feel that the other boy had more he wanted to speak about and it would be better to let him finish before they continued, or more accurately, started their training. At the boys next words Senshi gave a soft smile as his eyes moved to stare back at the tree that Kaen had so unceremoniously fallen out of. “Fuuinjutsu and Space/Time jutsu’s are actually something I am quite drawn to. I may choose to specialize into them. As for Fuuinjutsu you are quite correct, I’m still barely considered a novice in the art but you should know that it isn’t for the faint of heart. Fuuinjutsu is not so much a combat applicable art as it a force multiplier. Those who specialize in the sealing arts are better at making their teammates stronger overall then they are in boosting their own abilities.”
Senshi paused his eyes running over the tree again, he could feel another chakra signature there. It was also weak in potency but it was clear the user of it was in training to become a shinobi. He had to give whoever it was credit, they were quite good at concealing himself. Senshi only wished he’d been so good at stealth when he had first graduated. With another pulse of his chakra he spoke again, “Space time jutsus are very similar and yet far more complex. They require a lot more studying into basic chemistry and physics because you are in essence, warping the reality of the world to suit your needs. I can show your some basics, as it is desirable in any shinobi to have versatility but also to allow you to see if you’re truly interested in the arts.” Senshi nodded wondering if he should in fact explain the arts of chakra sensing. But if the other Genin was beginning to get a grasp of it simply from the light pulses of Chakra he was putting out then it would be better to simply assist him.
“It’s intriguing that you can feel these light pulses, I perhaps should reduce the intensity of them. As for Chakra Sensory it is a relatively easy concept to grasp. You merely need to condence your chakra then send it out around you in a pulse, you need to ensure that pulse acts like a boomerang and returns t you however. When it returns you have to learn to interpret what your chakra is telling you. Initally, you will be overwhelmed by large chakra signatures or particularly potent ones and will need to learn to see beyond them.” Senshi lifted his hand pointing Bastuodosodo at the tree, the tip of the extremely heavy blade not even wavering in the slight breeze. “See if you can sense the chakra of the person still hiding in the tree, you’ll have to block mine out and it will be slightly difficult at first but you’ll adjust.” Senshi spun the blade back around resting it on his shoulder again.
It was good training for the young Genin to move the blade around with just one hand, as he one day intended to fully fight with the blade in only one hand. Once his tanto’s were finished being created he would truly be able to start coming into his own as a weapons specialist. Especially if he started working in the sealing arts, his weapons would become extremely potent and dangerous to anyone who stood on his level. “Unfortunately for taijutsu, I am very focused on strength. I am fast, but my art lies more in strength then speeding around my enemy. I can assist but only in helping you become faster.” As the boy rambled on about his own personal studies Senshi’s eyes moved back to the tree. It seemed the other boy had finally noticed his distraction with their silent visitor and choose to reveal that he knew who it was. As the small girl finally showed herself Senshi felt a single eyebrow raising again.
She was small, almost deceptively delicate but he could see that she had to weigh nearly as much as he did. It was slightly frightening to think that someone so much smaller and almost frail looking had as much muscle as he did. It was something he would certainly have to work on more, he prided himself on his strength after all. Part of the reason he choose to wield such a large blade after all was that he could use it as a battering ram if he really needed to. At her words he tilted his head to the side slightly, both of these Genin lacked proper composure or polite etiquette. Giving a light sigh Senshi lifted a single hand holding up a finger before he began to speak. “First of all, it is proper to introduce oneself.” Senshi felt it was his duty to ensure that these two knew how to do so appropriately, for if they approached the mission desk acting as they did some of the more… violent Chuunin would not take well to it.
“I am Genin Kobayashi Senshi, under Jounin Commander Teirumi Itami with Genin’s Yamaguchi Maximillian and Shoyou Reizo. Your superiors, especially those who run the mission desks will require strict adherence with introducing yourself’s before taking a missions.” Senshi nodded feeling that his example by introducing himself would be enough. He pulsed another bit of chakra before speaking again. “Secondly, I would be honored to assist fellow comrade’s of Kumogakure in improving themselves. I will required a basic run down of your abilities however Genin-Kohai. While you brief me on them, Kaen-Kohai I will put the Leaf Willow Genjutsu on you. Give me a few moments to set it up and feel free to refresh yourself on it in your Jutsu Encyclopedia.” Senshi felt proud of himself for briefing the two as calmly and professionally as he could.
Though he had trained extensively with both Reizo and Max, it had been on equal terms. He had yet to truly have any interaction with shinobi who he outranked and as such he had been worried how to go about it. Deciding to act with the utmost proper decorum that a shinobi should had been the natural path for him to take. He knew, when he had been an academy student, that the other students had found his manner of speaking and acting to be odd. However he had been raised to be like this since he was a small child, a soldier in the service of Kumogakure must be completely polite and maintain their bearing at all times. Especially in front of superiors and subordinates. Though they were all the same rank, Senshi knew he had to have been a Genin for longer and that left him with a duty to ensure they knew how to follow the proper rules.
With all this running through his head he brought Bastuodosodo forwards his mind recalling the details of the basic Genjutsu he was about to attempt. He would not admit to either of the two younger Genin that he had yet to truly practice breaking out of Genjutsu himself. In truth he had lacked a training partner in order to practice to skill. The Leaf Style: Willow had been developed in Konohagakure by the Yuhi clan. Though it was so basic that just about anyone could learn how to do it now a days. It was incredibly simplistic in that all Senshi needed to do was weave his chakra around his blade while allowing it to sway slightly. The blade would take on an almost mesmerizing appearance allowing it to seem as though it had multiplied into multiple blades.
It relied on him directing his chakra towards his opponent and focusing on their ocular capabilities. He needed them to believe that the blade was in fact duplicating, either that he was moving it so fast that there appeared to be multiple or that they had some form of double vision that caused them to see more. It would ultimately lead to assisting him in landing potentially fatal blows in that the enemy would have no idea which one was in fact his true blade. If he could master this then the enemy would be at his mercy, and that would be incredibly important as both a shinobi and in the Chuunin exams. As Senshi felt his chakra reaching out towards the other Genin he waited several seconds allowing the blade to move slightly. Starting gently at the tip and then until the whole blade seemed to sway lightly in the wind. With a sudden finality he pulled the blade back and used a simple horizontal strike. “Kaen-Kohai could you describe what you experience so I know if I conducted the technique correctly.”
((OOC: No problem, if the two of you wanna compile an OOC list of technques you want and post them so we can keep on track that would be helpful since I can bring them up in character. To Kaen: Only used 10 Chakra with the power of the jutsu being 10, you should be able to break out of it with some work.))

Re: Where there was one Now there is Many

Kaen had wondered if he Senshi could sense his chakra, could that mean he could suppress it? Kaen instantly slowed down the flowing of chakra within his body to a steady pace. It seemed very easy at first until he noticed that the pulses kept coming at him. He slowed it down a bit more before keeping it to this level. He'd keep it as they went on talking and eventually training. Kaen noted that this when Senshi had flared his chakra he had done it on purpose, noticing that Kaen was actively learning it fast.
Kaen instantly focused his chakra on the Genin in front of him. He was kinda understanding his movement of chakra was similar to his with slight differences because people's chakra systems could never be the same. He focused on his chakra pool, chakra coils, and chakra that was being directed to him. He had realized that the boy was trying to sense his chakra and element. Kaen didn't mind though as he was developing a sensory of his own.
Kaen instantly started to sense Senshi's chakra trying to get an element out of it. Kaen started to sense Chisana's chakra in the tree behind him, and it seemed very weird. Their chakra was different from his own and since Kaen was so familiar with his own chakra it was weird becoming familiar with someone else's. Especially since both of their chakra were electrified. It made him feel like as if he had gotten a shock from someone or something after rubbing his socks on his carpet for too long. Though it felt unnatural he kept on going with a slight smile on his face, but obvious light discomfort.
"Thank you Senshi, this will be really useful. Maybe after this, if it was okay with you, you could teach me the Genjutsu you're using." Kaen said stretching lightly. Kaen noticed the formality in his speech and honestly wish he could be like Senshi, a certified ready to learn ninja. Like Chisana as well, not letting the emotions get the best of you. He could learn a lot from these two. Kaen was still surprised when Senshi just picked up that monster of a blade. He noticed that he used his elemental chakra affinity of lightning to get out of the ground. Kaen nodded at that, it was smart. Too opposites would make it easier for him to pull it out on the ground, reducing the muscle needed to pull it out.
Kaen nodded as he felt another pulse of chakra come from the boy and sent another one back at him. He also sent a pulse of chakra to Chisana just to feel what it was like. He started to rapidly do it until he felt slightly light-headed. Kaen took it down a notch on the chakra sensing, even though it was kind of fun to do.
As the boy finished talking Kaen had picked up, "I haven't focused on moves higher than D-Rank yet as I just want to get most of them down. It seems as if it's easier worrying about the D-Rank techniques because I don't need that much skill for them so I can learn as many as I want. Higher ranked up techniques may be a little harder for me as you need more experience to learn them."
Kaen looked at the boy as he just held his sword there as it was nothing. Kaen thought back to when he felt the chakra in the blade when he wasn't even trying to. It seemed as if he got this chakra sensory down, which was pretty cool to him. "My element is Wind, I haven't started working on my water yet. I plan to do that with my friend Chisana later on."
Kaen smiled at the thought of him and Chisana hanging out together once again. It was really nice to have friends his age, and fellow ninja of Kumogakure. "My specialty is Ninjutsu as I feel like chakra is the number one foundation of life. B.C (Before Chakra) would show us that as I've read up a lot about Chakra Theory, what chakra really is, and lots of other things relating to chakra." Kaen felt as if he might be annoying the Genin with how much he spoke. It was just really cool to meet a real life Genin - not that Chisana wasn't a Genin but Senshi was way more experienced - and be able to converse about all of 'this.'
Kaen also felt as if it was good sharing information with the Genin as if they needed to go on a mission somewhere together, or who knows, be Chisana and his sensei? Kaen had noticed that Senshi looked up at the tree again before continuing. It seemed he knew Chisana was there but didn't really care. "I don't know about Space/Time Jutsu, I'd like to learn more about it before I try to delve into it. I feel like I'm asking lots from you so if there is anything you need to ask to go ahead. Would you mind showing me some moves?"
Kaen felt as if he was getting on to the fact that he was sensing his chakra and instantly had stopped, but he still didn't stop suppressing his. It seemed as if he was just learning from standing right next to the boy which was very impressive. His theory was proven as he explained to him how to use chakra sensory better. Kaen instantly followed his instructions and sent out another pulse and as it reached Senshi he commanded his chakra back. He then moved his Bastard Sword once again and pointed at the tree.
Kaen held in his laughter as he pointed out bluntly that Chisana was there. Kaen instantly stopped focusing on Senshi and focused on Chisana, how her chakra had felt. It was like Senshi's just not overwhelming. It even seemed easier as he had more potent chakra and bigger chakra coils than she had. It was so interesting! Damn, how he loved everything chakra related.
"Yeah, I didn't know if I should focus on speed or strength, but with all the techniques I want to make for my bloodline I think I can make some pretty great combos." Kaen would say with a beaming smile. Kaen couldn't help but watch as Chisana talked to Senshi like that. Chisana knew who he was because he had talked to him a lot about him coming to the Academy once.
Kaen glared at her before Senshi reprimanded her himself causing Kaen to hold in another chuckle, it was weird seeing Chisana talked to like that as he could never imagine himself saying that to her in years. Then he had reprimanded both of them causing Kaen to lose his smile. He instantly straightened up and put his hands to his sides.
"Kaen Yuki, under no one's command as I do not have a sensei. Without a sensei, I do not have partners although I've been thinking about partnering with my friend Chisana," He spared her a quick glance seeing how she'd react before he continued, "I'll try to work on being more proper Senshi-sempai as it is needed to do missions like you have said."
When he had said he'd like to have a basic run-down of our abilities Kaen looked at him without his signature smile, more of a half-smile as he tried to keep a proper demeanor. This was what a Genin was supposed to be like? Kaen had lots of work to do before he could even be considered his level. He shouldn't even be thinking about it. Senshi's presence had already taught him two techniques changed his demeanor on the spot, and made him want to train furiously until he would drop. That's what Kaen was going to do, Kaen was going to train until he could no longer stand.
His eyes narrowed in determination as he looked at his superior. The Yuki boy looked at his Encyclopedia once again, "Flow chakra through the body to break the Genjutsu," Kaen paused looking at the book again. "Okay, seems easy enough." Kaen noticed the blade pointing at him and he was ready for the Genjutsu. He closed his eyes waiting for the impact of the Genjutsu to be on him. Kaen opened his eyes and what he saw was one blade turn into multiple. Kaen felt as if he was hallucinating for a second before he shook his head. It seemed as if they were actually solid like this was actually happening.
Kaen flowed his chakra and branched out his pool. Starting at his chest and reaching into his arms, legs, feet, toes, neck, and this time even his head as he felt better about that story as he practiced more with his chakra. Kaen instantly felt as if his sense had doubled as chakra filled his every being. He focused on the blades once again and he tried to imagine them all coming together into one. This isn't real, this isn't real, this isn't real Kaen would repeat in his mind soon enough he'd see three. Kaen smiled as he started to slowly memorize the pattern of the sword. A huge hunk of metal put on a stick, it was actually kind frightening. What if he used Kenjutsu: Spanking on him with that sword. It would send him flying with the birds!
Soon enough he used more chakra feeling an extra burst wanting to make him jump at his own actions. Soon three turned into two and he was looking as Senshi did a horizontal slash with his blade that caused five to appear once again. Kaen grunted as it seemed like he lost focus. Kaen nodded to Senshi as he did what he did once again. This time he used his chakra to surround his body then be inside his body. It seemed as if he was glowing light blue but that was his imagination. Kaen smiled as the sword easily turned into four. "It's not real, it's not real, it's not real..." Kaen would continue to mutter to himself as he'd focus chakra into his eyes to get a better look at the blade. As four went to three Senshi did another horizontal slash and he almost lost it again and three went to four once again. This time Kaen pumped chakra through every one of his pores, and he focused on his body as well. It seemed as if it was actually working.
Four turned to three, three turned to two, and then two turned into one once again. Kaen stopped flowing his chakra and looking at the blade, it seemed more divine as he looked at it at least twenty times.
"It seemed like there were multiple blades, and then when you did the horizontal slash I couldn't tell which blade was yours. It didn't seem as if there were five of you there just all one of you had five different blades, it was really hypnotic," Kaen said rubbing his head from a slight headache. "It feels as if Genjutsu messes with the mind, the eye-sight, and the chakra. As if it can mess with all of our senses and we wouldn't even know it. I would've known I'd been put in a Genjutsu but if you were to attack me I wouldn't be able to get out of it fast enough leading to my ultimate demise."
Kaen breathed in and breathed out catching his breath before he continued summarizing, "That makes more sense as the Clone and Transformation are like a Ninjutsu/Genjustu hybrid. Shouldn't people study more on mixing two categories of skills together? If Genjutsu can mess with your senses why can't we make a Genjutsu/Medical hybrid so that it would be easier to heal?"
Kaen shook his head as he summarized a lot of stuff that was in the book and in all honesty he might be overthinking as his head really hurt. "I'm going to sit down for a second, I'll be fine in a minute," Kaen said as he fell on his rump. He crossed his legs and put his fingers together, and he closed his eyes he entered a meditative state. He really needed to clear his mind from all his thoughts before he hurt himself. If he could meditate to clear his thoughts maybe he could learn how to clear Genjutsu by clearing his thoughts, on command. It'd be a skill to look into for later. Maybe, just maybe, he could make hybrid skills from different genres mixed together. It seemed crazy, but it could work if he really tried.
He needed some help, though. The first lady seemed to know a lot about medical jutsu so if he ever met her he'd ask her about everything that he was summarizing. Who thought such a lowly jutsu could make everything in front of him change? For the better, or for the worse?

Requests - Chakra Sensory, Genjutsu Release, Chakra Suppression (278/2000)
Re: Where there was one Now there is Many

Kaen proved to himself to be more head strong than she had imagined. However this was an asset, perhaps, and not the disadvantage she had thought because it opened this boy, Senshi, up to revealing much of that experience she was craving. He was still on equal rank, Genin, however his strength in skills and experience just from his initial presence put him in a much higher league than that of herself or Kaen.
They spoke of much one another of a few things she did know and others she wasn't quite clear on. There was never enough time in the library..She wondered if using obseravational skills would be enough to understand just what they were attempting. She thought she would follow in Kaen's steps for a moment. He seemed more familiar of this boy than she by far. However, just as she was to move closer to the two, the boy, Senshi, spoke with things of expected politness. Sure she knew of these things, however they seemed oddly useless. And what was with everyone and names? The importnace of them seemed null, a waste of breath really. Perhaps a system of identification numbers would suffice for tracking measures, however that was not the concern at hand.
Now how to respond, well on one hand she could respond with a flurry of informational basis on the system's flaws upon social expectations and how it's entirety was preventing progression. On the other it was to be realized this genin had something she wanted. Manipulation was a term she was becoming familiar with. It was deemed a sensitive topic amongst many of the villagers, however a neccessary tool amoung shinobi. Also, compromise was another one. Pressing her lips with a gentle smile, mostly natural, perhaps a fourth of it forced, she waited. As painful as it was to keep such a running mouth shut, her curiosity burning her brain with questions, she performed this neccessary duty. It wasn't the first time nor the last anyone would respond demandingly to her lack of, well non existant, social skills.
And then Senshi agreed to teach Kaen Genjutsu Release. Odd, she thought he should have learned that by now, with as much focus as he had put on everything around their few meetings. It was something to be seen. This was also her opportunity to introduce herself to another skill, chakra sensing.
She came down from the tree as light as a butterfly, ignoring her sore bruises from their just recent sparring match. Landing on her bare feet, she came amongst their little group, actually respecting distance here as a part of said manipulation and compromise. She observed between the two of them with great curiosity. She wondered what it would be like to feel for their chakra. And as such, she awakened the flame within her center, using it like a prodder, gently, slowly feeling outward to Kaen first. For a slight moment, there wasn't anything at all. She was not trying hard enough. So with a bit more she sent out, sending more of a wave to feel for him rather than just a lowly prodder.
There was much she knew of Chakra, it's capabilities and it's limits. The system was intriguing, it ran about the body like a central nervous system, a reflection or mimic almost entirely of the original physical neuron, but more distinct in definition. It had points that could be physically intercepted or opened, yet it allowed the body to adhere to nature's powers and provide responsive weaponry just from it's stored energy within. Frankly the whole idea that it regnerates alike any other cell or bodily system within them was amazing. As well it has the capabilities to interact with other Chakras as well. Either through the mind with the proper Genjutsu techniques or here with chakra sensory techniques.
As well everyone had their own distinct system, even those of the same lineage, their chakra systems were alike a finger print, no two are ever exactly alike. And that was where this technique could come in handy. if at one point she could master it and become familiar with it enough, it is possible to be able to identify with chakras enough to separate people apart. A thought, one could use it to distinguish an enemy among your troop and your teammate.
Beyond all this, she felt it from Kaen. It started out small, and as she amplified her chakra to probe more, she had to real it back in from the shock, almost literal shock. He was cold, frozen almost, she thought for a moment she had stepped into a winter frost and was concerned if she stayed too long she'd catch frost bite. How strange, how interesting. Was this how everyone felt or just Kaen? And why? What would make him so clearly identifiable?
Senshi seemed ready at this point. The ice from Kaen seemed to leave a bit of a chill in her head, so she turned to observe a moment the format and technique Senshi would use. she'd seen the use of Genjutsu in her academy, but as chakra is individualized, so can technique of any jutsu. His blade seemed to be his star of the show, but as it wasn't a genjutsu pointed to her, there was not as much information to be taken. But she was curious how it would feel to sense out someone of his stature.
She moved out her chakra, little by little, wary of the ice storm she may find. However the connection here wasn't as striking. It was a lot to take on, her head pulsed from the new intensity. But it was not freezing, it existed, but the temperture, well she couldn't put her finger on it but it wasn't as the same as Kaen's. Stronger, defined more so than either of them felt, but just brushing him was more like a pressure to her, a very distinct pressure that resonated almost that of it's own persona. However she couldn't hold on very long, nor did she want to. Her head pulsed against her curiosity and she reeled it back in.
Interesting data to have been collected. Kaen held the same pressure as she did, perhaps stronger, but his defining attribute was that of cold, cold chakra. Senshi's was this great pressure, she couldn't get to know it without a longer extension, but it wasn't cold like Kaen's. That had to mean their chakras were telling her something.
Kaen seemed to enter the Genjutsu, at first it seemed as if nothing had changed, except he wasn't at all as focused. As if his mind had slipped somewhere else, a normality of Genjutsu. Chisana wondered how long it would take him to escape. She didn't expect a long wait though, he had been reliable, honorable and quick as of late. This couldn't be so simple of a jutsu to trip him up.
She clasped her hands behind her back, shoulders naturaly straight, chin high, sweater bulky as ever. Now that Kaen was in, this Senshi boy needed information from her. "Chisana Kiseki, as requested." she begun, observing kaen as he worked himself through this. "Genin, lightning affinity, I've only the basic jutsu, substitution, clone, trasnformation, rope release, Genjutsu Release, Tree climbing or surface walking, Kenjutsu spanking, and Dicipline. I am interested in learning much, lately I've been studying Fuuinjutsu and basic medical jutsu, at this moment I'm interested in this Genjutsu you are presenting. Taijutsu would be an asset, ninjutsu as well, but your interest in Fuuinjutsu and Space/Time, what do you have to share." She would end this not in a question, but rather a statement as her partner came out of his trance and begun expressing what he had seen. She took much mental notes of this, practically memorizing his miniture speech, it may possess keys she needed to take on this jutsu, in case this Senshi boy didn't have the time to teach them.
Kaen expressed in such a way as if he had been injured in the head space. However this wasn't concerning, what would be concerning is if she had been placed with Kaen and he couldn't hold his own against a genjutsu. At least that is why he is here training. But a Genjutsu medical hybrid? Well there's a thought. Something she'd have to rummage through dusty shelves for.
"This begun as your training session," She begun, trying hard at this politness. The strain hurt her head like thorns pricking her frontal lobe. "Tell me this Genjutsu, you've performed. Is it neccessary a blade?" She gestured gently to his weapon of choice. Getting a closer look it was quite interesting. "In fact, what is this I'm looking at." She tapped her lip and peered closer, breaking a bit of personal boundary, and without fear of any danger she could have put herself in. But curiosity led her to take an interest here. "Where did you get it? What is it crafted of? Did you have it made? Does it respond well to your uses, what are the uses you have for it?" And there was the real Chisana, slipping out of the cracks and pouring questions upon the poor Genin.
