Chuunin Exam; Trial 1 Preparation Training Empty Chuunin Exam; Trial 1 Preparation Training

Wed Nov 23, 2016 12:37 pm
Senshi arrived in the training grounds earlier than usual, it was barely four am but he had a lot of things he needed to work on today. Plus it would require a lot of set up, so he had needed to get up earlier than usual in order to prepare the training grounds in time. As Senshi arrived he set about grabbing logs and pushing them into the earth. Sometimes he needed to dig a bit to make sure the log went in without breaking it. He set them at odd intervals and patterns. It took over thirty minutes for him to place a hundred and five logs into the ground. They were all within jumping distance at least and they made a weird pattern throughout the training grounds. Jumping onto one, Senshi wobbled slighty as the log moved in the earth.

His weight, mixed with that of the sword he wore on his back would make this balance exercise even more difficult. He started jumping between logs focusing on keeping his balance and never touching the actual ground. He needed to work on moving around with the sword on his back, ensuring that nothing would upset his balance. He knew that if he didn’t then he would be at a serous disadvantage in a fight. Everytime he missed or fell off one of the wooden blocks he would drop cranking out a hundred push ups for his failure. All still with the sword on his back. His focus was to build up his strength a bit more in order to increase the power of not only his thrown weapons but his sword as well. After a half an hour of jumping around like a lunatic, Senshi hopped off a log moving over to the small lake that occupied this training grounds.

He took a tentative step out towards the water using the surface sticking exercise to stand on the water. He wobbled before taking his next step, the technique was easier for him due to his low chakra reserves. He walked out towards the center of the lake before starting to do sprints on it. He spent several minutes sprinting back and forth before charging chakra into his hands and conducting push ups on the water. He switched and did several sit ups before jumping up and resuming his sprints. It didn’t take long before he had tired himself out and was both sweating heavily and panting for breath. Moving back to the shore he sat down for a brief five minute breather before moving back to his logs. As he jumped on them, despite having tired himself out with his physical training on the water he found that his balance had increased.

He jumped from log to log, moving with more grace than he had before. He spent another good thirty minutes jumping around the logs. His mistakes this time were fewer but he still fell off or mistimed a jump a few times. After his second thirty minute session on the logs he went back to the water wading into it this time instead of standing on top. He began the laborious process of swimming through the ridiculously cold war. His breath came in short gasps and his entire body tingled uncomfortable as he moved through the water one arm stroke and leg kick at a time. The weight of the sword was threatening to drag him down, and the pure freezing nature of the water was causing his breaths to come in short painful gasps.

He spent fifteen minutes dragging his body through the water before he had to climb out for fear of hypothermia and frostbite. He immediately set into sprinting around as fast as possible, taking to the trees and jumping from branch to branch. As he did so he pushed himself to perform acrobatic feats in order to test his agility. He would jump and add in a random flair of a twist or back flip. He would jump for a branch purposefully overshooting slightly, only to reach out for the branch with a chakra charged hand and twirl around it reversing his motion back towards where he had just jumped from. He spent over an hour flying through the tree tops, learning to maneuver through them with the large, ungainly sword on his back. Initially it was extraordinarily difficult for him to pull off. He caught himself on branches, tripped himself up on trees leaving huge gouges in the bark as he sailed past them.

But as time slowly passed, he began to gain a firm awareness of where the sword was and how to angle his body so as to avoid the trees and branches and send himself sailing through them. He wasn’t quite dry when he landed back in the clearing and immediately drew his sword from his back. Rather than taking a breather he spent a significant amount of time simply drawing the sword and replacing it. He needed to know that in a pinch he could pull the blade from his back or sheath it to perform handseals. His speed, while not all that great in the beginning, slowly began to increase. The awkward draw of the too large weapon began to become smoother and less awkward looking as he learned just where to place his hand. His speed with both pulling the weapon off his back and the resheathing it was steadily increasing.

After a short while he took a deep breath, it was time to get to the first technique on his schedule for the day. Cloud Style: Reverse be-heading. It was a staple of any sword user in Kumogakure, well frankly at this point any where. It would be expected for him to know it, but it would add to his lethality if he did know. The technique wasn’t complex, befitting its ranking as a simple C rank technique. It was however difficult to perform if someone was unused to wielding a blade. Being comfortable with ones blade, and know exactly how far it would extend, and thus knowing the range he could strike someone at. The initial part of the attack was speeding ones motion up and increasing the users strength. At the same time he would need to spin around and slash behind him.

The general concept behind the attack was to attack someone who was either attempting to sneak up on you or was striking at you from your blind spot. It could also however be used as feint, tricking the opponent in front of you into thinking you were going for them while then striking at whomever was approaching you from behind. Senshi felt confident that he could also turn the move into an attack on a frontal opponent if he completed the spin and slashed towards them. The drastic increase in speed and strength that his chakra would give him would be more difficult than what he had attempted so far. The pure power of the chakra he would need to flood his muscles with ran the risk of tearing them if he wasn’t careful. He would need to slowly increase them from what he could currently accomplish until he reached the proper speed.

With that thought Senshi drew his large blade holding it out from his body. He flooded his muscles with chakra and started a basic kenjutsu drill he had learned. Performing high slashes, low slashes, mid slashes, horizontal and vertical of every type as well. He spent several minutes using his chakra to enhance his abilities at the base level before slowly increasing it. He felt his muscles burn slightly as he channeled too much initially but then it faded as his muscles began to grow used to it. He continued moving through his basic slashes as his muscles adapted. He slowly continued to increase the amount of chakra so as to ensure he didn’t tear his muscles. Akihana-sama’s rebuke from so long ago rang clearly in his mind still. He couldn’t afford to injure himself or spend time going to the hospital. As such even though it took more time he focused on performing everything correctly.

He felt as though the power his chakra gave him was incredible and that he could become drunk on it, but reigned himself in. He knew he had low chakra potency compared to many others, but he wouldn’t let such a thing hold him back. He would become strong with his physical capabilities. Finally after over two hours of swinging the sword around and increasing his chakra usage. He had finally reached the point where he was increasing his speed and strength to the right amount and his muscles weren’t burning from the usage anymore. He let the chakra bleed from his muscles and lowered his sword to the ground resting it there. He moved over to the small pack he had brought and broke out his breakfast, enjoying the simple meal of salmon, eggs, and rice. He needed the rest, and the food to restore his energy and continue training.

Once he had finished he picked his blade up again, and began to practice the main part of the technique. It required a strict spin move and slash with his weapon. He would focus first on the spin, he needed to ensure that he didn’t lose his balance with the spin. It was why he had started with the balance training on the logs. With this in mind he began to focus on simply spinning around quickly. The majority of weight was placed on his back left leg as he twirled around on the ball of his foot. He practiced, using the heel as well just in case he found himself in that situation in a real battle. He had been learning a lot lately about battle strategy. More than a book could teach him, and he was also learning to put his own readings into practice.

While he had strength, speed, and power he was severly lacking in experience. But for this he had enough. Senshi continued to spin around the blade held out before him. When he felt that he finally had a solid grasp on the spin without losing his balance he practiced it a few more times just to be sure. Now it was time to begin to incorporate the swing. At first he knew he would telegraph it badly but with practice he could train that out of himself. With a single minded focus he acted as though he was going to slash forwards before suddenly spinning on his heel. He spent several minutes practicing just that motion before changing and practicing spinning on the ball of his foot. It didn’t take nearly as long as he had thought to get to what he considered an acceptable level. He smiled as he began to practice lunging forwards and spinning around to attack invisible attackers behind him,

He spent a solid thirty minutes lunging around the training field, swinging his sword and spinning around to suddenly attack something behind him. It would building his endurance with the sword, and also teaching him to use the move on instinct. This would be vital when he entered combat since he never knew when he would need to use the technique. It was also extremely useful since the chakra he used for the technique was all internal. He wouldn’t need much prep time in order to use the technique. He let loose a fierce smile as he began to practice the technique with the chakra he would need. He would spend several minutes fighting an invisible enemy before suddenly charging chakra into his muscles and conducting the spin and slash of the move. He enjoyed zipping around the training grounds swinging his sword and slashing behind him. He felt that he had quite the solid grasp on the technique, even as he was building his ability to instinctively using the technique. He would need that ability when it came to combat. Senshi finally stopped, laying his sword on the ground and taking a seat. He took a sip from the canteen he carried panting as he did so. He felt rather accomplished by what he had done so far and it was only eight thirty in the morning.

Chuunin Exam; Trial 1 Preparation Training Empty Re: Chuunin Exam; Trial 1 Preparation Training

Wed Nov 23, 2016 12:39 pm
Senshi stood back up from his rest break, taking a moment to stretch himself out. He needed to make sure he was limber enough for this next technique, especially considering it would be an odd version of two techniques at once and require a certain amount of focus to prevent him, from injuring himself. Especially with all the training he had done earlier on the water and flying through the wooded area of the training grounds he knew he needed to be prepared. It wouldn’t do to all the cold to cause his muscles to stiffen and allow the lactic acid to build up. Once he felt stretched enough the brown haired genin moved over to his log set up, taking the time to focus on himself he calmed his heart rate before stepping up onto the first wooden block. Opening his eyes he pushed off the block with his left foot landing nimbly before moving to jump to another log.

He focused for several seconds moving slowly as he jumped around the logs ensuring that each motion was as perfect as possible. He spent several minutes moving around his log playground, slowly and methodically. After about thirty minutes of this practice he paused on a log feeling his chakra flowing through his body he smiled. Not only was his muscles warmed up appropriately to continue training but he felt he had regained a lot of the chakra he had used for his last techniques training cycle. Bring his hands up he formed first the Ram seal, than the snake steal, and his hands flashed quickly into the final Tiger seal. With a brief surge of chakra so minute he barely felt it now two identical, intangible copies of himself appeared. They would not be able to hurt him, and thus were not ideal training partners as he would not be able to truly see how his techniques worked on the human body.

Or benefit from learning a lesson by making a mistake. Still they had basic cognitive functions in that if they scored a hit they could inform him. It was an idea he had developed and without the use of true solid clones or a training partner they would have to do. He had enjoyed training with his teammates, it had felt like he had progressed so much faster when working with them. Pushing his thoughts aside the boy tensed his muscles waiting with tense anticipation for one of his two clones to move. They spread themselves out focusing on the boy before they both dashed forwards. Senshi moved jumping to a different log as he dodged the first punch. The rules for his impromptu game were very simple. While his clones could move on the ground or the logs at will, he would be forced to remain on the logs or lose.

Like how his sister had played the floor is lava when he was younger, touching the very earth would count as a defeat. The second rule was that he could not conduct any attacks, this first scenario was simple evasion. He could complicate the training exercise with his own attacks after he had gotten better. He ducked under another punch propelling himself forwards and twisting on the log as it unbalanced to jump away from the next kick that was aimed for his head. He continued to jump around the logs dodging, ducking, and weaving his way around his clones. He found it much harder when he was half crouched on one leg on an unbalanced log that was preparing to fall. His muscles were straining from this practice and it had only been ten minutes. As he ducked under another punch a sudden leg appeared in his gut phasing through his body due to the intangibility of the clones. A single word in his own voice echoed out, “Hit.” Senshi stood panting as he stepped off the log releasing the clone’s chakra and disrupting them.

He felt like he was at least improving but lasting for barely twelve minutes against himself was…. Pathetic. Taking a moment to have a breather he replayed the evasion training in his own mind. Watching as he moved about the logs jumping from one to the other, his muscles fighting to hold his body weight in a stable position as the logs tilted under his weight. Maybe he should practice this without the logs first, and then begin incorporating them into it. It was unsurprising that he had, had such difficulties when trying to start off more advanced than he was. He may have developed a more keen sense of balance from his earlier training but this was all new to him. Sighing the boy opened his eyes moving to a more open and clear section of the clearing. Hands flashing through Rat, Snake, and ending on tiger with another surge of chakra two new clones appeared. This time he would last longer, and he wouldn’t move back to the logs until he could last at least thirty minutes.

As a leaf floated down from a tree the three identical boys tensed eyeing each other cautiously. The light puff of disturbed dirt as the leaf hit was exacerbated by the sudden movement of the boys. One leaving a dust cloud as he ducked, sliding his leg out to balance himself. The other two made no indication of their presence or speed that they moved with due to their intangible nature. Senshi pushed his upper body forwards into a roll as the second clone aimed a sweeping kick at him. As his head and hands hit the dirt he pushed up with his hands forcing himself into a hand stand avoiding the follow up punch and kick from the two clones. Lifting one hand off the ground he spun his body around the next hits before with a simple flex and push of his arm muscles he sent himself flying into the air performing a summer sault before he landed. Leaning to the left he barely dodge the next punch to his head, before performing a complete back bend, known as a bridge his hands making contact with the ground.

He lifted both legs off the ground avoiding the leg sweep, finding himself yet again in a hand stand. A fierce grin suddenly split his face as he twisted his body around another attack, his feet making contact with the ground. His forehead almost in the dirt he lunged forwards through the small gap between his two attackers, rolling in another odd somersault. He came back up to his full height ignoring the slight quivering his muscles as they all stared each other down again. In another burst of movement the three boys were flowing around each other in an almost choreographed dance of fake death. Senshi felt proud of himself as he flowed around the attacks, bending, twisting, and flinging his body around like the death machine it was. Though he was also disappointed because as he did so he noticed that he was getting better at seeing what his clone selves were going to do. Did he telegraph his attacks that badly or was he simply finally managing to improve?

Unsure of the answer, he pushed the thoughts from his mind, he couldn’t afford to be distracted and lose. That would mean starting this exercise over, and frankly he didn’t want to waste the time. Though his heart was pounding and he was exhilarated by the practice the half an hour passed slowly. Each second feeling like it was dragging on. By the end of it Senshi was covered in dirt and mud, sweat running down his face and coating his arms. He felt sticky and dirty and thoroughly unclean. His breath was coming in great heaves as his clones disappeared and he stumbled over to sit by his sword. It had been difficult but he had managed to complete the exercise. He spent well over fifteen minutes letting his body cool down as his heart rate slow, performing basic stretching exercises as he did so. He didn’t want to let his body tense up and have to waste time with a long warm up again. Once he felt rested and that he had recovered his stamina he pushed himself up grabbing his sword as he did so. It was time to begin practicing and work with his sword again.

The second technique on his list was simple in concept, much like the first. It simply required him to operate on the assumption he was being attacked and during his retaliation he would use the body flicker constantly in conjunction with his attacks. However it would be an incomplete half assed version of the body flicker. Rather than disappearing in movement he would be focusing the body flicker into his limbs. This action would speed up either his arms or his legs. It would cause him to be able to close the distance faster but then he would need to transfer the power to his arms to speed his swing up. After an opponent had been dealing with him at his normal state the sudden extra burst of speed could potentially throw them off allowing him to land a hit. Any hit in a fight was considered good as injuries would eventually wear on a warrior.

With this in mind the boy gave a few practice swings of his sword before focusing on his chakra. As his mind focused on his chakra his body began moving around conducting basic slashes through the air. He twisted his chakra forming it like the body flicker, but with much less speed. He first focused on using the incomplete technique on his legs speeding up his charging speed. As he did he found it difficult to maintain the chakra here in order to enhance himself. This would certainly not be a long term type of technique. The bastardized version of the body flicker he was doing was draining on his muscles and he could feel that if he kept it up too long he would risk tearing those very muscles. He continued to lunge around the training field swinging his sword in basic slashes and slowly his speed began to improve.

He would focus for a few seconds, twisting his chakra and suddenly lunge forwards at a fast speed. It wasn’t affecting his swing speed yet, but he knew soon he could begin practicing it there. After several more minutes of simply using it on his legs he finally felt comfortable enough to switch to his arms. It was readily apparent that with the practice he had already put in that speeding up his arms was easy. His swings began to become faster even though his lunging and charging speed had decreased dramatically. It didn’t take long for Senshi to feel comfortable with just the arm portion. Now though he would need to combine the two, first using it in his lunges and then quickly letting go of the speed to his legs to charge it into his arms, before doing the same process again to return the speed to his legs. With a single unwavering focus he dashed forwards with the extra speed his sword coming across his body.

As he started to perform the lateral slash with his sword he managed to reduce the chakra in his legs maintain just a bit so transferring it back would not be as cumbersome. His chakra surged into his arms and he twisted it in the same way the body flicker operated. Suddenly his arms sped up completing the slash. As it did so he pushed the chakra back to his legs manipulating the chakra as he pushed himself away at the enhanced speed. Taking a moment to conduct a few basic attacks without the move he finally reattempted it, repeating the process several times. Each time it became easier to manipulate his chakra and he became faster until he felt his muscles were at their limit. A small smile graced his features as he collapsed unceremoniously to the ground. “Cloud Style Deception Beheading complete.” He whispered to himself. His hands began rubbing his legs and arms as he focused on catching his breath. He was highly surprised how productive this day was quickly becoming, he had rarely had such ease in learning techniques.

Chuunin Exam; Trial 1 Preparation Training Empty Re: Chuunin Exam; Trial 1 Preparation Training

Wed Nov 23, 2016 9:07 pm
Senshi pushed himself up from the ground as his allotted break time was complete, he would do a few basic things before taking a break for lunch as it was already eleven o’clock. His day of training was going quite well and he was beyond excited to show his growth to his team. He would be an asset to his teammates and his village no matter what. Especially since he had decided to start working on becoming a Chuunin. He had done some research and learned that there were three trial missions a Genin needed to complete before they could even be approved to take on the Chuunin Exam trials. The Chuunin Exam trials would be another series of three missions that the prospective Chuunin’s needed to do. He was excited to be furthering himself as a shinobi and working to become better.

As a Chuunin he knew that he would be able to better assist his village and do more for it. Plus once he made Chuunin he would be allowed access to higher level techniques and even be able to begin looking at learning better Fuuinjutsu. He had long since decided that once he became a Chuunin he would begin dedicating time to learning more Fuuinjutsu. The simple things he had learned so far fascinated him to no end. The intellectual side of it all brought him great enjoyment. Pairing the fuuinjutsu with his weapons skills would also be fairly easy. It had the potential to multiply his own combat capability, but most of all it had the potential for him to multiply his comrades and villages combat capabilities. He had already had several ideas for things he would like to do with seals, thought he knew that was far in the future. He would need to train and study hard to ensure he knew what he was doing when it came to them.

Shaking his head the boy pushed those thoughts off, they would do him no good right now. Right now, in the moment, he needed to focus on his training. If he was going to attempt the Chuunin Exam trials he would need to ensure he was prepared for them. He had not been able to figure out the specifics of the trials as many Chuunin felt that you needed to accept the mission and deal with it on the spot. Giving Genin’s forewarning about what they were doing was frowned upon and seen as favoritism. Senshi hopped up onto a log standing calmly. With a sudden flash he was jumping around the logs performing basic kicks and punches through the air. He would slide across a log in a skidding low kick only to push off of it with his other leg and send himself turning through the air to land on another log. He practiced all the basics of taijutsu that he knew.

His hands flying through blocks, kicks, and punches against his imaginary opponents. Once he felt that he had warmed himself up enough with the exercise his hands flashed from ram to snake to tiger creating two clones. It was time to try and attempt this again. Maintaining his balance his dark eyes looked from one clone to the next, his muscles tensing as he anticipated their movements. He was quickly forcing himself through the air jumping from log to log as he dodged his intangible clone’s attacks. He knew that this type of training was going to benefit him in the event of any combat he came upon. Be it for the Chuunin Exam trials, the Chuunin Exam, spars, or even missions that he would be undertaking. Being able to balance himself on the logs forced him to know intricately how his body operated. It also forced him to minimize his movements, bringing an economy of motion that he had not previously held.

He may not be a taijutsu specialist, but he knew a passing ability in the skill would be needed. He could never ensure that an enemy was always kept at a distance with himself, due to this he knew he needed to be able to defend himself with his fists and feet. Being able to throw off a close range attacker, and recreate the range he needed to operate at was incredibly important and the entire basis of the style he was practicing. It was primarily centered on evasion, dodging the attacks that came his way and creating that distance. In the event that he was forced into hand to hand combat to fight his attackers off he focused on throwing, punching, or kicking them away from himself. Even basic techniques that could cause an opponent to be stunned for a moment were on his list.

Anything that would allow him to recreate that distance that he needed. He was sure that once he learned more about fuuinjutsu this would become just as important. While he would no doubt learn fuuinjutsu that would make him want to close with the enemy, in the event attaching a seal to them was the goal, he knew that in the long run fuuinjutsu was a non-combat technique. Or a technique that required a lot of prep work, thus he would need to be good at dodging around evading attacks while he worked. That was in the future, for now he needed to focus on the style he was performing. His clones continued to charge, striking at him with their phantom arms and legs. Performing his dodges were incredibly hard on the logs as he had to prevent himself from rolling. He had to be exactly sure of where he would land and how he would do so.

Each movement had to be carefully planned and thought through as he was nowhere near able to make it muscle memory just yet. He also couldn’t use the rolls and other such things he was accustomed to doing as one couldn’t roll over logs just large enough for both your feet. He was however incorporating the hand stands and manipulating his body while he was upside down. Being able to control his body effectively in any position was especially important. He smiled to himself as he flowed around another series of attacks, twisting his body to the side as he jumped to maneuver around another clone attack that came flying at him in midair. He recalled Reizo’s words that a proficient hand to hand fighter would keep their body on the ground the majority of the time.

The dangers of placing yourself into the air were remembered clearly by the sprained wrist he had been given. However as he was learning to better manipulate his body and twist it through the air he was coming to learn that he liked the acrobatics. Plus it would be slightly unpredictable to have a foe who would send himself flying through the air to avoid attacks. As he twisted sideways through the air threw his hips causing his rotation to suddenly increase. His hand reached out skidding across the log knocking it over but allowing him just enough time to push up off of it and land in a one legged squat several feet away on another log. He pushed of, throwing his leg out to prevent the clones from closing with him and landed in a handstand another few feet away.

His body swayed to the side, and he lifted himself with just one hand, a quick bend at the elbow so his head inches from the long and he had dodged another flurry of attacks. His legs were almost at a complete ninety degree angle to his body, one of his legs was near touching his ear, and his muscles were straining hard. Not just from the awkward position, but also from the weight of his body. He was strong and had decent stamina but the amount of training he had completed today already was taxing his muscles. With a surge of chakra he pushed off dismissing his clones while he was in the air before landing with a light puff of dirt around his feet. Panting he moved over to his small pack and removed the bento he had made for himself.

A short fifteen minute lunch later and he was pushing himself up, dusting his clothes off lightly before picking up his heavy blade. He had one final technique to practice before he could go home to study up a bit and increase his knowledge. The Cloud Style Crescent Moon Beheading technique. With this final technique, the trio of things he had learned today would make him far more combat effective. Especially considering that every single one of them would enhance his ability with his sword. He had needed techniques that would make him and the sword more dangerous to opponents. They were also some of the highest ranked techniques he knew, matching the two ninjutsu he had learned when training with his teammate Reizo. With a few warm up swings of the weapon he considered the attack.

It was relatively simple, especially when compared to the two techniques he had learned earlier. It would require a slight change in the way he charged his muscles with chakra. Instead of the steady stream he had been using before now it would be a very quick pulse. Much like the way he used his chakra sensory ability, yet different in that he would contain all of the chakra to his muscles enhancing his speed briefly. He would also need to allow the chakra to flow into his blade at the same time, reinforcing its effectiveness and strength resulting in its ability to cut things being increased. Senshi knew that just like the other techniques this one could be dangerous to his muscles, resulting in tears if he wasn’t careful. Especially since it was a quick pulse of power instead of the steady stream the others were. As he pulsed his chakra through his system he would be launching himself forwards performing some sort of swing with his weapon.

The technique was mainly used as a counter attack to others, forcing them to move back or take a serious blow. It would surprise them, in that if they were charging them he could charge right back and slash at them. Though charging the enemy was largely against his fighting philosophy in the end the technique would complement his style enormously. Either striking the enemy from a range their fists or feet couldn’t reach him or forcing them to move away from him and create distance. Giving a light nod to himself Senshi pulled his blade back, with a small pulse of chakra just barely enough to perform an E rank technique he dashed forwards slashing at the air. He could feel a light burn in his muscles and continued to practice with the small amount of chakra. It was clear that he would need to practice for a minute to get used to doing such a thing.

He spent a full thirty minutes practicing his charge and slash with just an E ranks amount of chakra before he finally felt comfortable moving forwards. With a sudden increase in chakra he lunged forwards swinging his weapon in a wide arc as the chakra charged through his system. He was pleased to note that there was no uncomfortable burn in his muscles, like there had been when he had started out. He smiled as he spent several minutes practicing with this low, yet slightly increased amount of chakra. He grew accustomed to how to move his chakra in the sudden pulse much faster than he had when he started. Now that he felt comfortable with a D ranks level of chakra, he charged how much chakra he used for his C rank ninjutsu techniques. With a sudden lunge and slash he was pleased to see his blade flashing through the air faster than he could swing it unenhanced.

The large blade was really nothing to sneeze at, as its very weight made it hard to wield. Senshi was quickly becoming accustomed to it however and pleased to note that with this technique he was swinging the sword as fast as he had seen several shinobi do so with katana. He continued to practice the technique at optimum levels for several minutes before stopping. With a light twirl of the blade, a flourish he was fond of doing, he reasheathed it across his back. A quick surge of chakra to the brown leather holster causing the snaps to, snap into place around it. He quickly collected his bag and started back home. He was in desperate need of a shower, and some rest. Reading would relax him enough, and now he felt more confident in his ability to begin the Chuunin Exam Trial missions.
