Getting Serious [P, W/Ken, Mission] Empty Getting Serious [P, W/Ken, Mission]

Sun Nov 06, 2016 2:20 pm
Spoiler:

Genevieve had spent yesterday looking about the mission board and plucking up a few optional mission flyers prior to passing out scarves to the less fortunate. When she had gotten home she looked over the flyers and decided on a C-rank mission of rat-catching with another ninja, and spent the last few minutes that the Missions Office was open, hastily scouring the ninja registration records of the village for someone to partner with. As the Jounin working the building mentioned to her about the closing- for the seventh time- with a tone of irritation, she had found a page of medical specialty ninjas and selected a name from the book before the Jounin rushed her out rudely. The ninja’s name was ‘Kenshin Uzumaki’ and she could only remember that he was specialized in medical jutsus like she was.

But… it would be fine… even if she was a bit unsure of whether or not she could work well with someone when she had such problems with her own team. She had been put out into the world to learn everything- so working with someone outside of her team was a bit much. And what if they knew everything she did too? It would be troublesome for them to have Geni be a burden.

These were the type of thoughts that flittered in her head as she dried her hair from her morning shower, and spend a good second or two rather violently drying it before she pulled the towel away and looked int he mirror. Her galaxy-colored hair a giant, floofy mess; the most volume she’d ever have, a mere illusion as she smiled. She brushed it out and braided it loosely, before going to her closet and staring at the 6 hanging items in it; leaving the rest of the closet bare and void. As if she was just some drifter who had resided here for the moment. The raven had already been sent with the request for Kenshin Uzumaki to join her at the Sewer, so she had a bit of time but… still… she really needed to buy some ‘normal’ clothes. She only had one outfit now and it didn’t even fit her properly… So she pulled down the white dress she had worn for her training with Master Kyousuke and pulled that on, pulling on a pair of shorts on underneath just in case as she went downstairs to make breakfast. She also made herself a nice lunch as she quietly decided that she’d bring food with her in case the mission session went on longer than expected.

She left her jewelry at home and shut the door of her house behind her as she took a deep breath and clenched her fist with determination, looking up at the ominous, grey clouds that made the day quite overcast. She took a moment to water her plants in her small garden and then fill up her water jug, before she left her home and went to the Sewers to wait for her partner for the day.

Getting Serious [P, W/Ken, Mission] Empty Re: Getting Serious [P, W/Ken, Mission]

Sun Nov 06, 2016 5:10 pm
With a small smirk on his scarred face Kenshin would make his way through the bustling streets of Hoshigakure, the silver haired teen was clad in a pair of worn grey shinobi sandals, a pair of pitch black pants and his usual sleeveless black vest, and due to the fact that he was not wearing his usual black robes or top hat anyone who looked at his could see his more disturbing features. If anyone were to look at his exposed arms they would more than likely be rather disturbed, one reason for this is because they were adorned with a large amount of stitched cuts, giving them the appearance of a macabre and twisted jigsaw puzzle. But the stitched cuts were not the most disturbing thing about his exposed arms, no, the worst part was that if they looked at the pure white skin they would actually be able to see the innumerable amount of threads that squirmed and writhed beneath the surface, looking almost like there were countless bug like creatures crawling beneath the surface. His eyes also attracted quite a lot of attention, not because of his irises but because of the fact that the sclerae of his eyes were completely red rather than white like most peoples, the result of most of the blood vessels in his eyes bursting due to a specific poison that he was he was injected with in his youth.

Due to his threads Kenshin generally had no need for more conventional weapons such as Kunai and Shuriken, but he still took them with him regardless just in case he needed them and today was no different, clipped to his belt were two weapon pouches, one holding five shuriken and kunai respectively, and the other housing a pair of explosive tags and a pair of smoke bombs. He had been training when a message arrived and informed him of a small situation that was arising, apparently a pair of shinobi were attempting to infiltrate the village through the sewer system, now it was obvious to Kenshin that the higher ups of the village were not very concerned that the two infiltrators were a serious threat or the mission itself would have been higher than C-rank. Hell if the higher ups truly felt the infiltrators were a threat to the safety of the village then they would have dispatched either the Queensguard or some of the villages Jounin, but even if the higher ups were not too concerned about the threat that the infiltrators posed Kenshin was,in his opinion any threat to the village, no matter how small of a threat it was, deserved no mercy.

Apparently Kenshin had been partnered with one of the villages newer Genin, one Genevieve Oasis, honestly he had never heard of her before nor did he really have any idea of what she specialised in, but he would be able to ask her soon, as he was approaching the entrance of the sewers. As he approached the entrance he extended his senses outwards by 100 meters and began to feel for a chakra signature, and sure enough as soon as he came within 100 meters of the entrance to the sewers he was able to feel the chakra signature of who he assumed to be his partner. The first thing he felt from her chakra caused the small smirk that was on his face to grow a little bigger, based on the feel of her chakra signature he was able to tell that she was rather well versed in the art of medical ninjutsu. Her reserves were quite a bit smaller than his own, in fact her total reserve of chakra was only the size of a third of his total reserves, but he was not too surprised about this nor did it make him feel any less of her, as the message he had gotten had indicated that she was still a relatively new Genin and thus he knew he could not expect her to have reserves comparable to his own just yet.

As he turned the final corner to the entrance of the sewer he spotted who he assumed to be Genevieve, and the very first thing that he found his eyes drawn to was her extremely abnormally coloured hair, the locks were a multitude of different colours and he found himself wondering if she had dyed it like that or if that was her natural hair colour...or colours in this case. He suppressed a chuckle when he saw what she was wearing, a white dress....and they were going to be heading into the sewers to fight enemies, he knew that by the time this mission was over that dress would probably have to be thrown out, as there was no way it was still going to be completely white. He would come to a stop around a meter in front of her “Genevieve Oasis? I am Kenshin, your partner for the duration of this mission” The silver haired teen would say in greeting, giving a small bow as he finished speaking.

Getting Serious [P, W/Ken, Mission] Empty Re: Getting Serious [P, W/Ken, Mission]

Sun Nov 06, 2016 6:23 pm
Genevieve turned when she heard the voice and bowed quickly to the other person, standing up and smiling, “Hello, thank you for partnering up with me!” She said and stood up before he did and hesitated a moment before she regained her composure.

Hesitating because the man in front of her was Elusive Senpai-Kun.

And the only thing in her head was, ‘be cool, Geni, be cool’

Geni finished off her water bottle and set it down, next to the wrapped up bento box she had brought with her with her lunch in it, turning away from Kenshin. She had seen the pale skin and the scars, but she wasn’t bothered by how his appearance was; even the Church had prepared her for that. All their years and lessons about learning to be open and accepting of people no matter what they looked like was burned into her. And, well she wasn’t really concerned with how he looked or what he wore. She needed to worry herself about the mission right now and put her hair up, “So, I was thinking that perhaps I could lure them close, and initiate a Hidden Mist technique if they got too close.” Geni volunteered, but smiled, “However, I’m open to suggestions; I don’t mind being the bait though, should it prove the better option.”

She truly didn’t mind and it would be much more helpful if she was to be the bait; that would mean she had a chance to test out the chakra anesthetic she had learned. If she could numb some key parts of their enemies it would make them easier to lure in and dispose of. However, she wasn’t completely sure of how to ‘dispose’ of someone but perhaps her partner for the mission could enlighten her. “Please excuse me if I’m a bit too chatty; I’m quite excited.” She said and gave him a shy and apologetic smile as he drew close, “I look forward to working with you.”

Getting Serious [P, W/Ken, Mission] Empty Re: Getting Serious [P, W/Ken, Mission]

Mon Nov 07, 2016 12:22 am
Kenshin would watch in amusement as Genevieve quickly turned to face him as she heard his voice, she wasted no time in bowing to him just as he had to her a few seconds ago “Hello, thank you for partnering up with me!” she would say in what Kenshin took to be an excited tone, something that got him to give her a small smile, and even though it was only small it was still a true smile. The reason for this smile was rather simple, he believed that the excitement in her voice was coming from the fact that she couldn’t wait for the chance to fight these wannabe infiltrators, a sentiment that Kenshin himself shared even if he wasn’t really expressing it outwardly. He would wait silently as she finished off the last of the water in her bottle and placed it down next to a wrapped up bento box, something that he assumed housed her lunch, although he found himself wondering if she would still be in the mood to eat it once they finished their mission down in the sewers, the smell alone would be enough to rob many of any appetite that they once held.

The silver haired teen was pleasantly when he saw that she didn’t appear to be fazed by his looks in the slightest, most people who laid their eyes upon him generally sent him looks of either disgust or pity, and he honestly wasn’t sure which of the looks he hated more, but seeing someone who didn’t seem to care was a nice change. But now was not the time to be thinking about such things, what he really needed to be thinking about was how he and Genesis were going to deal with the two infiltrators, they would need to be careful about it since the message he had received mentioned that there was not to be any significant damage to the sewer system. It made perfect sense since if the sewer system was damaged so too would be the very foundations of Haven. As he began to think of more plans he heard Genevieve begin to speak once more “So, I was thinking I could perhaps lure them close, and initiate a Hidden Mist technique if they got too close” he would hear her volunteer, a smile still on her face “However, I’m open to suggestions; I don’t mind being the bait though, should it prove to be the better option” she would also suggest.

Kenshin’s mind began working on ways that he could utilise Genevieve in taking out these two infiltrators, so far she had given him some decent uses, it was obvious from one of her suggestions that she was adept enough in water release to utilise the Hidden Mist technique, and from the feel of her chakra signature he could tell that she was quite well versed in medical ninjutsu. He continued to think of plans even as he heard Genevieve begin to speak once again “Please excuse me if I’m a bit too chatty; I’m quite excited” he would hear her say, giving him a rather strange looking smile, almost as if she were apologising to him for the excitement that she was feeling. “I look forward to working with you” he would then hear her say, something that got a hint of a smile from him “And I you” Kenshin would say politely, his mind still working out a plan that they could use to take out the infiltrators without damaging the sewer system, he had plenty of jutsu that could do the job just fine but some of them could prove quite lethal to anyone around him, including Genevieve.

“May I ask what sorts of techniques you know?” Kenshin would ask in the same polite tone as before, trying to figure out exactly what Genevieve knew so that he knew how best to utilise her in a battle situation. “I myself know quite a few techniques, some that are designed for the sole purpose of killing as well as some for the sole purpose of healing, some that can do both if used in the right ways, and a great many more that could be used in even more ways” Kenshin would explain, giving Genevieve a brief rundown of his abilities. Although with the amount of techniques that he was able to use it was rather hard describing how best he could be used in this plan, as he could be used in many different roles.

Getting Serious [P, W/Ken, Mission] Empty Re: Getting Serious [P, W/Ken, Mission]

Mon Nov 07, 2016 12:57 pm
Genevieve was delighted to know that he looked forward to working with her and listened to him ask he spoke, giving him her full attention so that she didn’t miss anything should he mention anything about a formation or a plan. He talked about the techniques he knew and vaguely went on about how some were for killing, some were for healing and some were for...perhaps not mission-related things and she blushed a bit at the chance of misinterpretation that he seemed a bit oblivious to. She pushed it from her mind and kept her professionalness about her as this was a mission, “My abilities?” She repeated and vocalized that she knew mainly medical jutsus and one ninjutsu, but smiled,

Though her skills were minimal and her jutsu arsenal was not as vast as Kenshin’s she did believe herself to be in possession of one other skill; her Hydrification abilities. Especially in the Sewers, where there was nothing but water around. “I know basic medical jutsu, Hidden Mist Jutsu, Chakra Sensory, Dynamic Entry, as well as Chakra Anesthetic and the Yin: Healing Wound Destruction.” She said but offered up, “Do you think, perhaps that we could utilize chakra anesthetic to render our village’s “unwelcomed guests”, long enough to dispose of them perhaps? Or would it be more effective for me to use my hydrification in the sewers?”

She looked at him for response and offered up, “However, as long as I know where they are, I can liquify myself to avoid most attacks, so please do not worry too much if your jutsus have a vast range; I will do my best to keep out of your way.” Geni assured him. As a much more experienced ninja, he probably had some devastating attacks that could do quite the damage and had a large attack radius; and even though she might not know them, that didn’t mean she couldn’t do her best to avoid them. She tightened the hair tie’s grasp on her hair to ensure it was kept out of her line of vision as she looked towards the sewers…

Honestly… she was a bit impatient but perhaps that was her being rash. She wanted to experience this a lot… it was interesting to her to actually have to fight people when she had such low-visibility but that made it much more interesting- however, at the same time, she didn’t want to be rude to Kenshin and looked back at him, frowning a bit, “Excuse my impatience… I don’t like the fact that they’re just running free and lurking in there.”

Getting Serious [P, W/Ken, Mission] Empty Re: Getting Serious [P, W/Ken, Mission]

Mon Nov 07, 2016 3:44 pm
Kenshin would become a little confused when Genevieve developed a small blush after he gave the extremely brief rundown of his techniques, he briefly wondered if perhaps he had spoken the wrong words or given her the impression that he meant something else. In the end however the silver haired teen decided not to dwell to much on the matter, as if she had indeed misinterpreted the meaning of his words then there was nothing he could do about it, although he was still quite confused about exactly what she could have taken his words to mean. “My abilities?” he would hear her repeat, getting a small nod from Kenshin, who waited patiently for her to give a rundown of her basic abilities. He had already deduced that she would know the Clone and Transformation technique, as she would not be a Genin otherwise, he figured that she must also know the Surface Walking technique and the substitution technique, as they were considered the most basic of basic techniques along with Clone and Transformation, so much so that you would be hard pressed to find any Genin or higher ranked shinobi who did not know them.

He would hear her confirm his suspicions that she was a medical ninjutsu specialist and knew mostly medical techniques, although she did possess a single ninjutsu technique, which he assumed was the Hidden Mist technique, as she had suggested using it in her plan earlier. “I know Basic Medical Ninjutsu, Hidden Mist jutsu, Chakra Sensory, Dynamic Entry, as well as Chakra Anesthetic and the Yin Healing Wound Destruction.” he would hear her list, something that got a small hum of approval from Kenshin, it appeared to him that she had a good arsenal of techniques at her disposal. “Do you think that perhaps we could utilise our Chakra Anesthetic to render our village’s “unwelcomed guests”, long enough to dispose of them perhaps? Or would it be more effective for me to use my Hydrification in the sewers?” he would hear her say, getting his full and undivided attention immediately “A Hozuki...interesting” he would mutter just loud enough for Genevieve to hear, and his mind would begin to work on forming plans that could best use the techniques and abilities that she had mentioned possessing.

“However, as long as I know where they are, I can liquify myself to avoid most attacks, so please don’t worry too much if your jutsus have a vast range; I will do my best to keep out of your way” he would hear her say, something that caused his small smile to fade away and a minute frown to take it’s place. “While that is an admirable attitude I would prefer not to place you in unnecessary danger, especially from some of the jutsu in my arsenal, because if anything goes wrong it could very well result in your death” Kenshin would say in a serious tone, he did not want the blood of any of his comrades to stain his hands due to a foolish mistake on his part. He would smirk as he watched her look in the direction of the sewers “Excuse my impatience...I don’t like the fact that they’re running free and lurking in there” he would hear Genevieve say, a sentiment that he wholeheartedly agreed with, the very idea that there were enemy shinobi lurking around in the territory of Hoshi was truly annoying him.

“There is nothing to excuse Genevieve, I feel the same way, the very idea that there are enemy shinobi lurking in the territory of Hoshigakure annoys me, and the fact that they have infiltrated Haven itself, even if it is only the sewer system, infuriates me” Kenshin would say honestly, his silver pupils glowing faintly in his annoyance. “In regards to your suggestion about utilising the Chakra Anesthetic on our opponents, it would certainly be beneficial for us and detrimental for them, and combined with your ability to liquefy upon being attacked it certainly does seem like a good tactic” Kenshin would say in praise “However...I personally do not believe that such a tactic should be attempted unless you believe that you could hold your own with them in hand to hand combat. I do understand that combined with your Hydrification you would not be in much danger of being hurt, but there is the chance that one of them could possess lightning natured techniques, and forgive me if I am wrong about this, but does lightning release not stop your clan from being able to liquefy” Kenshin would explain, remembering what he had been taught about the Hozuki clan. “I do have a plan though” he would then say with a smirk “You see, both of us possess abilities that will allow us to take our enemies by surprise down there, along with the ability to sense them long before they get the opportunity to see us, you with our hydrification and me with one of my techniques” Kenshin would say, his smirk only growing wider

“There is of course the chance that our opponents may too possess the ability to sense our chakra, but that won’t matter, if they do not then we can take them by surprise and end the fight before it truly begins, and if they do it simply means that we are going to end up fighting them, which we will be doing regardless” the scar faced teen would explain to Genevieve, his small smirk from before having become rather large now “What do you think of that idea, is it suitable for your tastes?” He would then ask her, eagerly awaiting her respose

Getting Serious [P, W/Ken, Mission] Empty Re: Getting Serious [P, W/Ken, Mission]

Mon Nov 07, 2016 5:53 pm
She smiled and nodded, “Yes, as a Hozuki my body is not 100% pure H2o, which does make me a bit vulnerable to lightning for the time-being.” Genevieve confirmed, feeling that the success of any mission depended on the level of honesty. She was more than helpful and willing to be as open as she needed to be with Kenshin, whether it was beneficial or not about her inexperience.

“The paralysis of not being able to liquify is only temporary; and if I were to be able to perceive the attack ahead of time, I could counter with my own lightning chakra to reduce this chance.” She answered as she tilted her head to the side a bit, her hair swaying with the slight movement, “But I do like your idea; the faster they’re disposed of, the better, even if it gets a bit… bloody.”

Hopefully, she could keep in mind the size of the sewers and none of her abilities would impact the architecture to a degree that would cripple her own village’s sewer system. And as she thought about it, it only made her madder. It made her almost physically ill that people had came into the village without so much as a ‘hi’. And not only that, they were lurking; hiding in the sewers maliciously like lowly dogs and trying to just be all-around conniving beings in a friendly place. It was pointless and flat-out disrespectful to not only Hoshigakure and it’s reigning Leaders; but to everyone in the country as well. And that, honestly…

It kind of made her...well, it did… test her patience and lean on her temper.

But considering she wasn’t raised to raise her voice often and to be humble and quiet. Considerate of other people and their feelings and situations- but this was something she really couldn’t excuse. “Since Kenshin is much more experienced than I am, I will trust in your judgement and the fact that you are displeased with these vermin too.” Genevieve turned from him and started walking off towards the Sewers, “Excuse me, I’ll head in first.” Even though she said that, she was hoping he’d follow; perhaps it wasn’t even her being hopeful but rather she was expecting him to follow. They were partners on this mission and having the same goal surely meant that he would keep up with her at least, wouldn’t it? Perhaps she was being a bt too hasty as she walked into the arched, stone entrance for the sewers and looked around.

The stones were dark greenish-grey, colored by whatever repulsive colors the waters contained but the walking paths were several feet higher than the actual level of the pitch-black “water” that leisurely rested with no disruption to their surface. The darkness and pathway guided by a foggy, yellow-light given away by lanterns installed upon the wall with a style reminiscent of a time long forgotten. If there was a smell, it didn’t bother her as her focus moved to trying to seek out the intruders in the maze that was their sewer system- and she had a stuffy nose, so that helped too. Everything held a slick and unbecoming sheen that she didn’t care much for as she walked in deeper, glancing back towards Kenshin to see if he was coming or not.

Getting Serious [P, W/Ken, Mission] Empty Re: Getting Serious [P, W/Ken, Mission]

Mon Nov 07, 2016 7:37 pm
Kenshin would see Genevieve smile and nod in confirmation to his statement about the Hozuki clan being naturally weak to lightning “Yes, as a Hozuki my body is not pure H2o, which does make me a bit vulnerable to lightning for the time being” she would say, with the silver haired teen paying close attention to each and every word she spoke. “The Paralysis of not being able to liquefy is only temporary; and if I were to be able to perceive the attack ahead of time, I could counter with my own lightning chakra to reduce this chance” she would say, getting a small nod from Kenshin, this knowledge would be beyond useful to him if he ever had to fight a member of the Hozuki clan in the future. “But I do like your idea; the faster they’re disposed of, the better, even if it gets a bit...bloody” he would hear her say, a statement that got a small smirk from him, it was obvious to him now that Genevieve and him were similar in certain regards, it seemed that like him she was willing to do whatever it took to ensure that the job got done, even if the results were...bloody.

“Since Kenshin is much more experienced than I am, I will trust in your judgement and the fact that you are displeased with these vermin too” he would hear Genevieve say as she turned towards the sewers, the last portion of the statement causing the smirk on Kenshin’s scarred face to grow even wider, it seemed that he and Genevieve would get along well with each other. “Excuse me, I’ll head in first” he would hear Genevieve say as she began to walk down the alcove and into the sewer system, Kenshin following behind with his face still split by a large smirk, he was just as eager as she was to find the true vermin that hid within these sewers and dispose of them. From the very instant that he and Genevieve had entered the sewers Kenshin had been scanning their surroundings, he had his chakra sensory activated still of course so that he could sense them as soon as they got within range, but there was always the chance that they were actively suppressing their chakra, so he could not afford to overlook anything.

Most of the stones that surrounded them were caked in layers upon layers of dirt and grime, in fact as he examined some of them closely he even became aware of a slight film of extremely dark green slime that coated them, he had no clue what the substance was but he was tempted to take a few samples to see if he could perhaps weaponise it. Thankfully the stones that the two of them were walking upon seemed to be clean enough, but then again that was to be expected since there were maintenance workers that had to come down here from time to time, and the village could not really afford to have hurt themselves due to unsafe working conditions. As he walked he would occasionally glance down at the literal river of sewage that flowed past them like a river, he did so only to make sure that he would not be taken off guard on the extremely off chance that the infiltrators were suppressing their chakra and waiting completely submerged in the sewage for someone to walk past, he didn’t believe that this would happen, but he still kept an eye on the ‘river’ just in case.

Thankfully neither of the two seemed to be bothered by the literal miasma of unpleasant smells that were coming from the river and their surroundings, but when this was all said and done he would more than likely have to burn the clothes he was wearing at the moment to ensure that the smell that now permanently resided within their fabrics did not contaminate the rest of his clothes. He could hear the distinct squeaks that came from a very specific kind of vermin, rattus norvegicus, otherwise known as the common brown rat, and as his eyes flicked over to the vermin he saw that they were covered in several substances he could not identify, but was certain he didn’t want to come into contact with his skin. Well now he had found some vermin residing in the sewers, but unfortunately for he and Genevieve those were not the vermin they were looking for.

Maya and Lucille waited, hidden, but ears peeled for the echoes that would carry in the vast underground. Lucille had sensed someone coming and now they could hear them. It seemed there was an entire group and Lucielle began to tremble sightly. they had expected confrontation but from the sounds of it, a whole platoon had been dispatched - or was judt her fear amplified? For a moment, Lucille's dark eyes wavered to her partner's, the question clear in her gaze?

Should we abandon the mission and get back.

In reply, Maya reached over and squeezed her hand reassuringly.

I got you

And with that, Leaving Lucille hidden, Maya jumped out in front of the approaching party, a couple of kids who looked to be youngee than her, giving her slight confidence.

"Halt," she called out, raising a hand in front of her. "Turn your feet and leave or I will hurt you," she warned, raising her hands in front of them.

Getting Serious [P, W/Ken, Mission] Empty Re: Getting Serious [P, W/Ken, Mission]

The silver in Kenshin’s irises would have dulled to reflect the sheer boredom he was feeling at this moment, sure he was still rather angry at the fact that two enemy shinobi had infiltrated the village but he and Genevieve had been searching through the sewers for close to 30 minutes now without finding hide nor hare of the two infiltrators, and one could only look at rats and dirty bricks for so long before boredom sets in. Perhaps this was why these two had been the ones who had infiltrated the village, because they were good at keeping themselves from being found by people hunting them, although that did raise the question of how they had been detected infiltrating the village in the first place. ‘No matter, these two vermin will be hunted down and dealt with’ the silver haired teen would think to himself darkly, some vestiges of his old self slipping through the cracks of his mask and making their way to the surface.

Deciding that it was time to end this glorified game of hide and seek in the sewers Kenshin focussed his senses and opened his mind's eye, using the abilities large boost to his sensory skills to help him track down his two enemies all the faster. It took a couple of minutes but eventually Kenshin manage to find exactly what he was looking for, two other sources of chakra down here in the sewers, he doubted that the higher ups would have sent in another team to hunt down these intruders without notifying he and Genevieve first, so he came to the conclusion that the signatures must belong to the infiltrators. The signatures were currently 137 meters away from their position, so it was doubtful that Genevieve was able to sense them just yet, but that was a good thing, since it more than likely meant that even should they possess some form of chakra sensory it was unlikely that they could sense he and Genevieve.

Reacting quickly Kenshin would place a hand on Genevieve’s shoulder and give a small shush “I can sense them, they are hiding down the tunnel on the right, around 140 meters down, I doubt you can sense them just yet but trust me when I say that they are there.” the silver haired teen would whisper in a serious tone of voice, his smirk from earlier gone and his eyes having become sharp. “Now, I have a plan, you approach them from the front and activate the Hidden Mist jutsu, this should draw their attention, once you have done that you should use your hydrification and merge with a nearby source of water, still within the mist, this should confuse any sensory techniques they have as the mist is laced with your chakra.” the silver haired teen would explain, letting Genevieve know that he was taking her up on her offer to be the decoy. “Be wary, while I have no doubt you can handle one of these two, the other possesses chakra reserves much higher than yours, and I would rather not take the risk that they possess more chakra than skill”

Kenshin would send Genevieve a small smirk “If you do that I will take care of the rest” he would say, his tone completely confident, and despite that confidence being real he was still making backup plans should this one fail. “Wait two minute before making your approach” Kenshin would say with the same smirk on his face, before simply sinking through the bricks he was once standing on, leaving nothing but a small, sand filled hole where he once was. He would quickly make his way into the stone walls and begin to move towards his destination, the other end of the tunnel that the two infiltrators were in, throughout the entire journey he would ensure that he stayed at least 110 meters away from their position, so that if they did have a sensor they would be unable to detect him. Eventually he made it through, and with around 30 seconds to spare, he would quickly suppress his chakra and begin to creep towards the entrance of the tunnel that housed the two infiltrators.
