Kozai was almost finished with his business here... time to recuperate before he took a quick trip to explore. This village was far too crowded and noisy for him... and its inhabitants were annoying. In addition, it seemed that this "Koukan" group was infringing upon the village. Being here any longer would drag Kozai back into the business that he desperately wanted to avoid. Being here, however, had also rekindled Kozai's interest in knowledge, which now drove him elsewhere. He still hadn't visited some places. The far west, which he wasn't so keen to visit for whatever reason, and the far southeast. Well, Kozai knew where he was going next, at the very least. He sat next to a tree, leaning there, but not closing his eyes. Now... time to focus his chakra. He was slowly gaining more and more awareness not just of his surroundings, but of his internals as well. Interesting... it appears that his body had been meddled with, not once, but twice. So, there were being of power and such much higher than his own, it seemed. Well, of course. Such was the natural way of life. As some jerk once said, "there's always a bigger fish".
At any rate, however, how to undo these modifications? Well, it seemed simple enough. All he had to do was target the tissue, then purify it, expelling any foreign substances and resetting it to its post-differentiation state. In essence, additionally, such a thing would allow him to remain functionally immortal, resetting any tissue that got too outdated for use. Yes, this seemed worth putting effort into. Of course, such a complicated process would require at least one handseal. Considering Kozai's power level, it seemed that only one would be needed here. Kozai performed a single seal of confrontation, and channeled his chakra. His body seemed to pulse with energy, then glow blue slightly. Ah, there it was... he had regained the power of regeneration. How... satisfying. If he was getting old powers back, then he should search out his ability to modify other people's physiologies as well. It seemed that things were correcting themselves after all.
He stood up, and stretched. Time to get moving. However, before he did so, he tried the jutsu again. This time, a larger aura erupted around him, and he felt something.... change. Ah... so that was what had happened, he thought, as his neurons rearranged themselves and a needle was expelled out the back of his neck. So, Youka had wanted him to find more information about Echo? Well, in that case... it was time to avoid him. At least, for the moment being. He had other things to do. Now that he was free of the other accursed memory wipe as well, he was free to go where he pleased. His irrational fear of Suna, which had seemed strange to him, was now resolved. Still, those things had happened a long time ago, and he wasn't one to exact vengeance or hold a grudge for something like that.
