Lev glanced up to the sky as he chewed the bite he had taken from an apple. The sun was just barely overhead and mid day was growing close. "Time to go practice a bit, I suppose..." He persuaded himself as he turned towards the training grounds. Lev promised himself that he would train every day in some manner, even if it were purely academic. But, today, he planned on training his body. He wasn't going to lie to himself and say he didn't need it. He took another bite of his apple and tossed the core in a nearby bin.
He wasn't far from the training area. Maybe a half a kilometer. Even so, it took him longer than he anticipated to reach the grounds. The roads were crowded and winding between the walls of buildings. Kids weaved through the crowds, peddlers pushed their goods, and the village folk shopped. But, Lev wasn't interested in any of the above.
Finally, he broke free of the crowds and found himself walking towards the training grounds. It was strangely empty today, but he wasn't complaining about that. He preferred quiet over busy. It was his nature, he admitted. Lev began to stretch his muscles, feeling them loosen and untwist from the days rest he'd had since his last workout. It felt good, he had to admit.
