Arashi listened closely to his master's words and frowned. It wasn't his fault that he failed. But, Arashi had to admit he wss very impressed by his Sensei's ability with the wooden sword.
"Hn...very interesting."
Arashi wish he didn't lose his pencil while climbing that damn tree, or else he'd be taking notes right about now. This man was obvious someone with a great deal of power, more then Arashi initially thought. When the man offered the sword to Arashi, he knew that there was only one choice for him.
"Why wouldn't I take this magnificent art? I can clearly see the various ways I'd be able to kill my enemies, protect my friends..."
And make those bullies pay for all that happened to me…
His hand went over to the Bokken, picking it up, and swinging it around, looking very unskilled.
"I am willing to become a master in the art of swordsmanship. I can already feel the power radiating throughout me...the blade is an extension of me.."
Arashi nodded, feeling as if he understood what his Sensei was saying.
"I promise I won't fail you...I'm gonna make you proud, and this entire village as well. I'll do ANYTHING you want."
Arashi bowed down, with a smirk slowly forming on his face.
"I just hope those ancient bones of yours can keep up with me.."

Hunter did not smile, instead he took a stance of jōdan-gamae, or in other words the stance of Fire. Raising the sword high above his hand, holding it with both hands he steadied himself. Looking at his student he would nod and wait for Arashi to rise up and pick a stance.
"Now take up your sword and prepare yourself with how you would fight your enemy and we will begin your next lesson. It will be time to undo some of the teachings you have been receiving all your life."
Hunter was absolutely still, his focus was dead center on Arashi, waiting, watching. Just as a Swordsman must do.

Well, Arashi didn't know where to start on making a stance. Wasn't he supposed to be telling him how to do that? Arashi felt like droping the wooden blade and kicking him in his face, but he knew that would hurt like hell. So, Arashi began wildly stabbing into the air, obviously new at this stuff.
"Heh, how do you like my expertise? I could cut through millions of Shinobi with this style!"

Hunter looked at his student and then sighed as, on the inside, he was smiling. Yet on the outside he needed to be strict to make sure his student learned. He lowered his blade and was quick to strike Arashi with a mere one finger across his forehead. It did not have enough strength to crucially hurt him, just enough to sting and be of annoyance.
"Pay attention, I was demonstrating your first form. It will bring you inner peace and strength. While harnessing your...powerful...emotions that you always seem to have. The jōdan-gamae. The stance of Fire. It is a very basic, yet very powerful way of striking your opponent. It uses both hands to strike DOWNWARDS at your opponents. In terms of defense, with all your power in your hands you are able to move in ANY direction to strike. Like so."
After having said that Hunter would get in his stance as he inhaled deeply and looked down at his Student, and as he exhaled he yelled out.
"HAI!"
As he did he struck down at Arashi waiting to see how he would react.
