First time out

Charmander had been walking around the village for some time before he found himself at the training grounds. It had been a nice long quiet walk, as most of Charmander's walks were. He had seen a few people around the village but had been able to duck behind a building or hide behind a bush before anyone had noticed him. Which was the important part to Charmander, not being noticed. People had a horrible habit of asking him to many boring questions. He had neither the desire nor the capability to answer them, being a mute. 
   He feared the days to come in the Ninja Academy but had enrolled despite his fears. He thought he would be much older than regular Academy Students, having enrolled later in life then most did. He had yet to meet any of his classmates to confirm or deny his assumption. He didn't mind though. 
   Charmander always had the nagging fear that anyone he met wouldn't understand him or might get frustrated with him for not speaking. That was why he always trained alone at his home. That was also what brought him to the training grounds today. He was curious how others trained and, feeling oddly less fearful this day, he ventured out into the world.
   He stood now off to the side of the training grounds, alone. There wasn't anyone else there and he didn't know if he was happy or disappointed. His eyes scanned the grounds, his head hardly moving, just his eyes. His breathing was calm and even. He stared, expecting something to happen.

Tee had gotten up at the normal time around noon and left his home in no real hurry being as he had nothing to do and no plans for that day. Tee wondered if perhaps he should explore the mountains or chill around the village, he had spent too much time in the mountains as is and decided against that walking toward Kumo's training grounds. Before he even turned the corner into the grounds with his byakugan that he always kept active because it just felt right he had spotted a boy in there but it didn't seem like he was using the area for its intended use which was training. Tee was curious as to who he was because Tee did not remember seeing this guy anywhere and decided to approach him to introduce himself. Tee approached the boy wearing his mask that covered his right byakugan eye from view which also extended down to his chin and his neck, the black mask connected to his black short sleeve shirt. He also wore black pants as well as black ninja sandals. Tee always wore black because he loved the color black and basically anything darkness related.

Tee would then say to the boy "hey, sup my name is Tee what's yours?"

Tee looked as the guy waved back at him but didn't relay his name back which Tee found to be pretty damn rude. Tee was ready to tell the guy off when he pointed to his mouth through his orange bandana and shook his head no. Tee thought for a moment wondering what exactly was that supposed to mean. Was he telling Tee to shut up, no he doubted it. Tee wondered if perhaps this boy lacked the ability to talk. Tee would have asked him about it but he knew how people who were insecure acted about their insecurities. Tee decided to find out if he could talk or not by asking him another question just to see and make sure that hr was correct. Tee would then say "ok... Well what a lovely day outside today dontcha think?"

Charmander hoped Tee would understand the gesture, and to some degree it seemed like he had because he didn't repeat his first question. Instead Tee asked about the weather. Charmander's eyes scanned the area quickly, taking in the weather. Then he nodded 'Yes', looking at Tee again. Charmander was a little relieved it was a 'yes or no' type question. That type of questioning made things easier for Charmander and he hoped it made things less awkward for Tee as well. Char waited to see what Tee would do or ask next, once again cursing his late mother for causing his forced vow of silence.

Tee looked at the boy being as he shook his head to Tee's question Tee then came.to the assumption that the boy could indeed not talk, this was interesting and led Tee to want to ask two questions Tee would then ask "are you trying to become a ninja, and what is you name by the way if you don't answer that's fine" Tee would add acknowledging the fact somewhat with his last question that he knew the boy would not be able to verbally answer it. Tee asked if he was an academy student because he was apparently not a ninja because he did not have a headband as Tee wore around his forehead and Tee thought it would be rather interesting if this boy became a ninja not being able to talk and all.

Charmander nodded his head yes again, confirming that he was an Academy Student. He then bent down on his knees. He wrote his name in a patch of dirt in front of him. He knew it was an uncommon name so he made sure to write it neatly and correctly. CHARMANDER the dirt said as he stood up, brushing some dirt from his legs. He pat his chest once then pointed at the word on the ground. He wondered if maybe it was time to give in and carry around a pad of paper and a pencil. If he was going to be meeting new Ninja and people he might have to. Right now though he hoped Tee could read his name on the ground.

If Tee didn't know before he definitely knew now that this guy could not talk. He confirmed that he was indeed an academy student and then upon Tee's second question he would write his name in the dirt which was pretty creative. His name was Charmander as Tee had read in the dirt. From that Tee decided he wouldn't keep asking Charmander questions that would require him to do extra effort like writing in the dirt, if he would ask another question it would most definitely be as yes or no question that the boy could simply shake his head yes or no to. Tee now wondered weather or not he should see what Charmander could do fightning wise, he wondered if he could even fight to begin with, Tee would then ask Charmander this simple question "hey I'm curious, would you want to fight?"

Charmander was happy Tee asked another yes or no question. He seemed to understand, to Charmander's relief. He took several seconds to think over if he wanted to fight or not before slowly nodding his head yes. This would be his first spar with anyone so Charmander mentally prepared himself for a few bruises. He would slowly bring his hands up in front of him in what he thought was a good defensive pose then nodded his head again to Tee, showing him he was ready to begin.

Tee looked at the one named Charmander and watched as he set up in a good defensive pose seemingly ready to fight and prepared for the spar. Tee did had to think of what technique he would use because basically anything he used would kill Charmander and he wasn't trying to have that. Tee decided he would test Charmander's skills as a ninja, swiftly Tee would flip back simultaneously allowing his Yuumei to flow into his hand so that when he touched his hands to the ground during the flip his Dome Of Darkness would form at a speed that the boy probably couldn't even perceive. The whole are within a 40 meter diameter would be covered with a dome of darkness giving Charmander absolutely no sight at all leaving him having to depend on his other senses. Tee would then say from in the darkness 8 meters away from Charmander "use your other senses besides sight to help guide you in this darkness encasement." Tee figured he would give him a tip and see if he would catch on. With that Tee would dig into his ninja tools bag and lob a kunai knife toward Charmander's feet so he could use it for defense. Should he prove himself to Tee, Tee perhaps would let him keep it as a gift if not he would most likely be leaving this spar with cuts and gashes.
