Hunting a Missing-Nin (Up to 3 Genin can join, NK) Empty Hunting a Missing-Nin (Up to 3 Genin can join, NK)

Mission:

Over the past few days, since his jaw and teeth had made that strange transformation, Denkiteki had felt odd. Both of his parents said they had felt it too, and all three of them were wondering what was going on. His father, who was a sensor, told him that his chakra had changed. It had taken on a darker color, and had grown denser. It was even overflowing, an invisible cloud of chakra followed Denkiteki wherever he was.

And there was the shaking, his left arm beginning to twitch whenever he thought about fighting or anything of the sort. A growing excitement always followed it, Denkiteki was beginning to creep himself out. I know I am rather unfazed by violence, now at least, but could it really be? Am I starting to…enjoy it? The thought was creepy, but at the same time, Denkiteki felt that it wasn’t wrong.

What had happened to him? There seemed to be no explanation, no wise man or snake with the answers. His father knew nothing, those snakes who had performed that strange ritual on him seemed not to know what he had become either. Something different, something new. It was all they had said about him. Was he going to die? Was he going to go crazy? They provided no answers to him.

On top of that, he still had missions to do. And it didn’t help his situation. He had to find another Chuunin who killed a few students, and before he left the island and traveled to the main continent. What’s going to happen? Am I going to go crazy, or what?

He wasn’t sure, but he didn’t have time to think about it. Whatever happened, happened. As long as he got the mission done, did it matter if he went crazy? Well… maybe, depending on how crazy he became.

He wore his usual Chuunin gear, which had somehow remained unscratched despite all of the time he had spent wearing it. I wonder, how long will that last? He wasn’t sure, but he guessed he would find out soon.

He also had all of his gear in its usual spot. His kunai pouch, which had 5 kunai in it, was strapped to his leg. It was on the outer part of his left thigh, where it could easily be reached by his left hand. His weapons pouch, which contained a number of weapons, was attached to his belt, and rested just above his rear. His wakizashi, a small katana that he had used on a number of missions, was strapped to his belt as well, with the hilt poking out over his left hip.

Denkiteki waited at the gates to the village for a squad of genin to arrive. As far as he knew, it wasn’t the same squad he was used to dealing with. That could be a good thing, Jashin and Attuu had a habit of making things get out of hand. Hopefully these kids won’t be as bad.

If only one of those two trouble makers showed up, he would be fine. They weren’t as bad when they were separate, at least as far as Denkiteki could tell. If it is both of them, this mission isn’t going to go well…

Hunting a Missing-Nin (Up to 3 Genin can join, NK) Empty Re: Hunting a Missing-Nin (Up to 3 Genin can join, NK)

Minorin meandered down the streets of Kirigakure. She walked at a slow and measured pace, she was thinking about the mission she was going to be embarking on today with Denkiteki and she wasn’t sure who else would be joining them.

This mission seemed pretty risky; maybe it was even more dangerous than the S-rank she went on not too long ago. She plodded down the streets and worried as she fiddled with the hilt of the sheathed ninjato the hung on her left hip.

When she reached the village gates and saw Denkiteki she instantly knew something was wrong. He didn’t seem the same anymore. He didn’t look cheerful or anything, in fact he looked pretty anxious. Was he scared of the Chuunin too? Minorin made her way over to the tall boy and tugged lightly on his arm.

She smiled up at him, “How’s it going? Fun mission we’ve got today, huh!” She wanted to shake him out of being afraid by acting like their mission was going to be the easiest thing in the world, she couldn’t blame him since she was also fearful, but Denkiteki was someone of higher rank as well as her friend. She thought he was strange sometimes, but she didn’t want him to feel badly at any moment. Not unless she was the one that made him feel that way!

Hunting a Missing-Nin (Up to 3 Genin can join, NK) Empty Re: Hunting a Missing-Nin (Up to 3 Genin can join, NK)

Tue Nov 20, 2012 11:50 pm
It had been a long night after his last mission. Ymir plays it over and over again through his mind. The thought of him killing another human being to unsettling to him. "Why wouldn't he just give up?" He pondered. Ymir thought about this over and over again for the past several hours. Finally getting up out of his bed, Ymir heads over to his desk where he pulls a book off the delve entitled,"Missing-nins of the Hidden Mist Village." He began to flip through the pages as he began to learn about the missing-nins. What they were, who they were, and why they chose to become one were some questions answered in the book.

Being that it was still late in the night, about 3 in the morning or so, Ymir was feeling quite drowsy. He got up out of his chair that he had been sitting in and paced the floor. He was running scenarios through his head as he did many a night. Since the death of his beloved grandmother, Ymir hasn't had a full-night's rest. He keeps having nightmares retelling the story of that night in the living room. That night was one that he could never forget. He witnessed thieves kill his grandmother in cold blood and watched as she bled out into the carpet. He was determined to become one of the greatest ninja in all the land to avenge his grandmother's death. Since that day, Ymir has been quite withdrawn.

Ymir walked over to the window and stared out it as he had done so many times before. It helps him think and clear his mind. Upon thinking of his training, a sound come from behind him. He turns quickly, ready for fight if need be. To his amazement, nothing was there. This stunned him yet he figured it was one of the ANBU. Upon looking at the scene closer, he notices a letter sealed with the Mizukage's Seal on the back sitting on his desk. He wondered why he would receive a mission in the middle of the night but shrugged it off. He went over to the letter and picked it up. He opened it and revealed the letter with a surprising letter at the top, "B". This completely shocked Ymir because he had never done such a high mission before. Perhaps the higher ranking official have noted Ymir's supreme abilities for such a young shinobi. He began to read the letter. Apparently there has been an incident leaving a man dead. The murderer has fled the village and became a Missing-nin. The letter noted that Ymir was to meet his Chuunin leader at the village gate in the morning along with his Genin partner. Ymir was excited to meet these new people because he didn't have many friends. He went over to his bed and went to sleep.

As the sun rose, Ymir jumped out of bed and prepared himself for the task at hand. He strapped his kunai pouch, being that he was right-handed, on his right hip. The pouch contained his five available kunai. He was wearing his basic leather gear that all genin wore. Now for his most important tool, Ymir went over and gazed at his ninjato, his prized weapon. He had obtained this ninjato with his training with Jinn where he learned his new technique, Drawn Sword. He was at awe of how lovely this weapon looked and remembered that even something this wonderful can kill. He grabbed it off the wall and sheathed it onto his back.

Ymir went out of his home and down the street of Kirigakure toward his destination, the Village Gates. As he approached the gates, he saw two ninja. One was a girl who seemed giddy, carelessly tugging on the other shirt. The other one was quit ominous. He couldn't really put his finger on it but something was definitely wrong with this one. He quietly approached the two speaking softly in his low but friendly monotoned voice,"So which one of you is in charge?

Hunting a Missing-Nin (Up to 3 Genin can join, NK) Empty Re: Hunting a Missing-Nin (Up to 3 Genin can join, NK)

Denkiteki turned towards Min as she approached, the young Genin that he had worked with on a number of missions. He was glad to see her, over the past few weeks they had become good friends, and she was a talented kunoichi. Even without the Gobi, she’ll be a force to be reckoned with once she gets older…

He smiled as she tugged his sleeve and said the mission would be fun, though it was nothing like his usual smirks and grins. It was an easily detectable fake, a poor attempt to hide the fear and anxiousness that he felt inside. Minorin did make him feel better though, if he thought himself unable to attack the Chuunin, out of fear that he would become like he had a few days ago, he knew that Minorin would be more than able to kill the man.

Well, she’ll be able, but will she be able to do it? He looked at the white haired, adorable 9 year old girl and wondered if there was a killer somewhere in there, I hope so, or that the others are capable of fighting a Chuunin..

Denkiteki heard a monotone voice, and looked up to see a boy around Minorin’s age approaching him. He seemed the quiet type which was good. It meant he wouldn’t be running around looking for the Chuunin, yelling for him to come out. I know Jashin and Attuu would probably do that…

“Yeah, I’m the Chuunin leader of this squad. I’m assuming you both know what’s going on.” He managed to push away his negative feelings for the moment, and began talking in a formal tone, “Yesterday a Chuunin from our village attacked and killed some Academy Students, and we have no idea why. It is our mission to hunt him down, and most likely kill him.”

Denkiteki took a breath, and looked back into the village to see if anyone else was coming. It didn’t seem that way, “Alright, there were supposed to be three of you, but enough time has been wasted. Let’s get moving.”

Denkiteki would motion for them to follow him, and would begin to walk down the dirt road that led away from Kirigakure. He assumed the two would follow him, or else he would continue the mission alone.

He spoke once again, to anyone that was following him, “We will most likely find the man at one of the docks, as he will most likely be trying to leave the village. We’re going to be searching one of the larger ones first, then move on to the smaller ones. If we’re lucky, we’ll catch him before he gets onto a ship. Make sure you are on your toes, this man is a shinobi as well, and is a Chuunin.”

With that, Denkiteki would pick up the pace a bit, though he made sure not to move fat for either Genin.

Hunting a Missing-Nin (Up to 3 Genin can join, NK) Empty Re: Hunting a Missing-Nin (Up to 3 Genin can join, NK)

Wed Nov 21, 2012 1:11 am
Minorin stared up at Denkiteki for a while, he seemed to be deep and thought and she desperately wanted to know what he was thinking of. Why he wasn’t acting tough and stupid. It wasn’t fair at all that he knew the answers to her questions and was keeping them all to himself. She tugged on his arm tightly once more before letting go and turning towards another voice.

The boy seemed to be around her age, obviously a Genin. He seemed like he would be pretty silent if not completely silent during the mission. That would be a nice change from the loudness of the squads she’d previously been going on missions with. She smiled up at the new boy, not attempting to be so giddy this time. It was a polite smile, no teeth, just the gesture.

Minorin listened as Denkiteki introduced himself before recapping the information on the mission at hand, Minorin wanted to gag. Killing was so distasteful; she knew one day she would inevitably have to take the life of another but was in no way looking forward to it. She wondered if this was the day such an event would happen. The day that her hands will be stained with blood forever. She shivered slightly, nothing anyone would notice if they weren’t taking in her every move. Minorin supposed it was healthy to be feeling this way, at least she wasn’t on a hunt for blood like some were.

Minorin glanced at Denkiteki as he took a deep breath; apparently the mission was already going downhill. She clenched her fists, unable to keep everything contained at this point. She was going to make sure that the mission went as smooth as possible. Denkiteki wouldn’t have to worry about a single thing. She’d take care of everything, they might be short on teammates but that didn’t mean anything as far as Minorin was concerned.

Denkiteki motioned to both Minorin and the new child before walking down a dirt path that lead away from the shinobi village of Kirigakure, Minorin paused a moment, still attempting to assess what exactly was wrong with Denkiteki before walking after him. As she did so she attempted to step in his footprints, his feet were at the very least two times larger than her own, and his stride was much longer, she gave up after a short while and listened as Denkiteki began speaking yet again.

He went on to say that they would probably find the Chuunin at one of the docks, this didn’t surprise Minorin seeing as he did in fact just kill a bunch of academy students. Not to mention there really weren’t very many good hiding places on an island teeming with shinobi. The plan was to check out the larger more popular docks before moving on to the docks that were used less frequently. This made sense, the man might want to blend into a crowd in order to stay unnoticed and he would be surrounded by civilians. By doing that it would make it even harder to attack the man. Minorin definitely didn’t want to cut someone’s limbs off by accident or anything if the circumstances called for her ninjato to be used.

Minorin could only hope that they caught the man before he got onto a ship, if he were to board one and the team was to attempt to trap him he may be more inclined to take a hostage and that only meant more trouble. Minorin sighed as she followed Denkiteki she peered around the older boy and scanned what she could see of the docks for anyone she would deem as “suspicious.” It would really help if they knew what he looked like or what kind of clothing he was wearing though.

Hearing the words exit the lips of his leader, Ymir became excited yet making sure not to show anyone. He was going to be facing a Chuunin level ninja. Ymir had no doubt that he was capable of achieving this task, yet he became ever so cautious. As he saw his leader motion for him to follow, he breathed deeply and obeyed. He was told that he was being lead to one of the bigger docks in search for the missing-nin. He was also explained the mission at hand. He glanced over to his fellow genin and wondered if he had missed something. It seemed that since he was new, they had a story that he didn't quit understand yet. He assumed they had been on a mission before due to the fact that the young girl was walking so close to the older guy. "Is she really trying to walk in his footsteps? Literally..." As he saw the Chuunin pick up the pace, Ymir simply became to go faster. He didn't have any trouble at all seeing that he had incredible speed.

Ymir would continue to follow his teammate until they reached their designation or otherwise stopped.

(I'll npc the target, somewhat.)

It wouldn’t take long for the group to reach the docks, which was bussing with activity. Denkiteki had been to it once before, on a mission to stop some poachers from leaving the island. His first kill had happened while he was on those docks, his first couple of kills actually. He felt his left hand twitch at the thought.

“Remember, be careful. If you find the Chuunin, try your best to sneak up on him. If you can’t, don’t risk an open confrontation, and retreat.” Denkiteki then did the transformation jutsu, taking on the appearance of an older man. He would stick out like a sore thumb wearing his Chuunin gear, and might scare off the target. “Get moving.” Denkiteki would then disappear into the crowd of people.

------

The target was walking around, trying to find the best boat to sneak onto. He was young, about the same age as Denkiteki. He was a slacker though, and not at all stable. He had attacked those Academy students simply because he wanted to feel powerful, and the power over life and death was, to him at least, the ultimate power I decided their fate, they had all of that talent and potential, and yet I was the one with the power to decide what happened to it all. A smiled crept onto his face, an evil smile.

Hunting a Missing-Nin (Up to 3 Genin can join, NK) Empty Re: Hunting a Missing-Nin (Up to 3 Genin can join, NK)

Wed Nov 21, 2012 2:15 am
Minorin was walking very close behind Denkiteki and was examining him. It was as if he were an entirely different breed of animal now to her. She kind of almost respected him this way. But she knew something had to be wrong, and that was confirmed when she noticed his left hand twitching. Without doubt that was not normal behavior, not for Denkiteki.

They had reached the docks by this time and Minorin scanned the crowd, just hoping their target would slip up and do something questionable so as to alert the team to his presence. So far she noticed nothing out of the ordinary and turned her head towards Denkiteki as he spoke.

Minorin listened as she watched the crowd with her peripheral vision, apparently she shouldn’t risk an open confrontation and if it came to that she should retreat. She smiled a little, fat chance. She was going to take care of the mission now. The man wouldn’t be escaping and she wouldn’t be retreating. Obviously Denkiteki had too much on his plate already. So today he should sit back and relax while she took care of things.

She watched as Denkiteki transformed into an older man and told them to get moving before slipping into the sea of bodies. Minorin wondered if she should do a transformation jutsu too but then thought better of it, no one would suspect a little girl to be looking for a killer. Plus, because of that they might assume the sheathed sword that hung on her hip was some kind of toy, not a real sword. Minorin smiled; she already had a great disguise.

Minorin pushed her way through the crowd, attempting to find a place where she could monitor what was going on at the dock. She soon located a couple of wooden crates and made her way towards them immediately. She climbed on top of the small mountain of crates and sat there, fiddling with her “toy” sword. She supposed she looked like she had just gotten off of a boat and was waiting for a parent to come and pick her up. However, she had not just gotten off of a boat and her parents certainly weren’t looking for her. And the sword was definitely real. She scanned the crowd and did so without trying to hide it. It would look as though she was searching for a parent or family member of sorts after all.

She came across a boy about the age of Denkiteki, maybe younger, who seemed to be examining the boats with great interest. Minorin had never in her life seen someone so amazed with simple boats and took this as a lead. She looked around a while longer, still keeping the boy in sight before hopping off of the boxes and heading towards the boy.

As she made her way to him she made sure to gaze up at the sky and smile at the people around her, she was just a normal little girl at the docks.

Minorin was now behind the suspect. She quietly pulled the ninjato from its sheath and attempted to pounce on top of the target’s back. If she achieved this she would steer the boy behind some nearby crates in order to shield the grotesque action she would perform next from the civilians on the dock. After doing so Minorin would slit the boy’s throat with her ninjato. Right now she didn’t care, it sent a kind of rush through her body and she wanted to vomit. But she really couldn’t care less. The thing that was most important at this time was finding out what was wrong with Denkiteki and making his life easier. By killing this man Minorin had made Denkiteki’s life that much easier and was therefore satisfied with her work.

The target was looking at the boat that would most likely be the one one he’d be taking, Yes this is per- The target was caught unaware by a little girl jumping on his back, and before he knew it he was dead.

Den watched the whole thing, surprised by Minorin’s brutality. He was disturbed, but at the same time he felt a rush. Interesting… His hand twitched again.

Ymir watched as Minorin passed across the dock. He wondered what her plan was going to be. He hadn't been told what to do and wasn't sure what course of action to take. Upon further investigation on the situation, Ymir sees the small girl advance toward someone. There was an evil feeling in the air. He knew something definitely wasn't right with these two. His suspicions were confirmed as he watched the little girl so gruesomely slaughter the man. He advanced toward the scene and spoke,"Why'd you do that for?" In fact, that could have been the wrong man. He seemed innocent enough, just a casual person gazing at boats. In the back of his mind, he had the sneaky suspicion that the girl just wanted to kill someone.
